CRACKED Axe Restoration With BRASS!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 чер 2022
- This axe was recovered from the bottom of a river. The handle likely swelled and caused a huge crack. In this video I will restore the axe using a woodworking technique with brass bow ties. Inspired by the dovetail axe by @BlackBeardProjects

I like this "thinking outside the box" approach. Aesthetically, the brass contrasts really well with the distressed steel. Hopefully, it will be a strong enough repair.
I also really like the effect of the oxidizing on the axe head. It gives it the look of a hand-chipped stone axe head.
Cool trick using the phone's camera to give you the profile for the axe handle. I need to remember that one.
Really great project!
Yes I agree, thanks for watching :)
That was pretty cool! It's also very impressive how well you can work with a freaking grizzly bear rummaging around just a few feel away.
Love this. Thanks for your inspiring creativity and relaxing presentation, Amir!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Wonderful project & absolutely fantastic editing! Curious if there is a length to width ratio to follow when wedging a tenon?
Thank you for watching :) im not sure
Love what you did with the cat!
He got paid in treats :)
I swear you are the hidden gem of You Tube!!! I have been waiting weeks for your new video to come and of course I am not disappointed! If I could give you 10 likes I would!
This "axe" is definitely a wall hanger, but I love your editing skills & sense of humor.
That turned out awesome!!!
Thank you for watching :)
The phone template trick is awesome, I'll just take that with me 😊
Nice work dude, very impressive.

I’ve been looking forwards to this video for so long! Loved the sneak peaks on Instagram
Awesome Work!!! That’s definitely a Art that is fading away as the world changes and as generations pass!
Thank you for watching :)
Wow. Looks interesting. Great work .
Interesting finish, well done. 👍👍👍

Idk how functional that is, but it has a lot of character!
Love your content!

Thanks :)
I love the editing so much 🦉
Cool video man. I like your sense of humour!
This is dope.
What made brass your first thought? And I love the outcome! Beautiful work and I love the ambient background sounds like the rain
Hey Amir, that's a amazing project. I want to check you Video and predicted million of views.... For my perspective could be the thumbnail the problem. I would show the end result very big and the old small in the corner.
AND MY AXE! Lol, that came out pretty awesome though!
Thank you FatGoose :)
How would the glue/epoxy hold up for the bow ties? Usually in wood the bowties are flush with the holes, but isn't the case here. Regardless, a fantastic restoration!
Also a new sub, your content is A+!
Bro there's a bear outside your house watch out hey
Lovely mate! How structurally sound is it?
It is strong enough to withstand some light hits but its mostly a show piece
where are you getting your weathered lumber from?
I found them on the side of the road a few years ago
New sub ! Liked ❤️👍😀
Ayo you need to get into some collabs and stuff, man, this is good content.
I appreciate it man, what do you mean by collabs?
crazy cat 🐈
He got paid in treats
Por um momento eu achei que o gato realmente tinha comido o pedaço de metal 😂
