The built-in DeFi of the mobile app is what captivated me (uniswap, pancakeSwap, compound lending and borrowing, Aave)
And that's just Ethereum, where's Cosmos, Solana, Polkadot...?
So it’s not fully cold if you still need to input your keys on your extension or mobile app

App, your hardware wallet just allows air gapped security for you to approve, deny, or manage assets
Is there any way to set up the hardware wallet without using an app on my phone? I don't want any connection between an app on my phone and my crypto. Can I link the hardware wallet to the browser extension without a phone?
Yes you can use browser extension
@@SerpentXTech The problem I see was verifying the hardware wallet. It asked to scan the QR code to verify the hardware wallet on both devices. I don't have a camera on my PC.
@wolfganggoyim yea next a camera. To scan QR codes. You can always use a dedicated prepaid phone that you only connect to internet when needed for security reasons

Today I Add a Token on My Safepal Mobile App and It Added So Easyly but unfortunately its Not showing on My Hardware Wallet and Even that Not Synchronized on Wallet...

I have logged on safe pal hardware wallet with my Trust wallet phrase, it is only showing BNB not Bitcoin, what can be the reson? Also would like to know how to trnasfer from trust wallet to safepal hardware?
You should be able to manage networks and wallets at top of app or browser extension
You can either just transfer funds or import seed phrase but it wouldn't be a secure hardware wallet

So whichever you setup first is the main wallet. You want to setup and generate your key phrase on your hardware wallet and then sync them up by restoring the wallet seed phrase. Look at the name of the wallet on your app, and on the hardware device, do you see the same name on the first page? You use your hardware wallet to manage and approve transactions, but the app on your phone is where you can see all your assets

Your assets is stored in the blockchain. Wallet is just a key to access it.

Isn't it better to create the mnemonic phrase on the device itself and not the computer? Am i missing something?
No your 100% correct and that is what I did. But showed users the process as it is similar.

May I ask one question - the mnemonic phrase, can that phrase be used to transfer to another companies cold storage wallet?
For example, I lose the safepal S1 and instead buy a trezor and load my phrase into that.
@@gregero it looks that way. Because I was able to import my non secure BEP20 account into my hardware wallet. As long as you got the 12, or 18, or 24 word phrase or seed. Yes

I have a question. Can I send XRP from Bitstamp to the Safepal S1? Or can you only use it with Binance?
@@acudetoxacademy safepal has normal XRP, BEP2, and BEP20 XRP variants. So you can use it, but you will need to sync NON-EVM tokens we ith your Safepal Hardware wallet

I said that, in video. Then told people to setup via hardware first and sync. Still had to show the basics

Yea, the test wallet was setup thru computer. But that wallet is gone and redid it thru device
yea I was leaning in then saw it could all be done in the Browser and that pushed me away. Didn't like that part

While it's pretty good, it's no way it's alternative for Ledger because you can't do DeFi with it, other than Ethereum, as far as I can see.

Meh. Safepal is ok. I just hate how it doesn’t integrate with other software wallets. You solely have to use safepal which is frustrating at times when you have multiple wallets like me
Which ones? It works with metamask, but can you provide some examples, when you have time please.

Type c charging cable. And if you break it just get a new one, you should have backed up your seed phrase, so you can restore it
What is the point of a mnemonic phrase if you can't create your own, and have to write it down? Do you put your password on a Post-It note on your monitor? I'm sure that you don't.
Kinda' violates the definition of mnemonic, doesn't it?
It is randomly generated for security. If you created your own, and I knew you, I could use a bruteforce attack, to keep trying elements that I know about you. I store my seeds or keys offline on a different device and paper backup in secured location
I had Safepal S1 wallet for a while but stopped using for 2 reasons, One it is Chinese based company and 2nd I had a lot of problems with my phone reading the QR codes, I have several wallets like D'CENT, TREZOR, LEDGER, SAFEPAL S1, and D'CENT is my first pick following by TANGEM
Is tangem safe?
I have both safepal s1 and ledger. I do not had any problem with safepal s1 as you mention. I prefer the safepal s1 because it have more coins that the ledger and is very easy to use.

@@kushrajpurohit8125 I would never consider using Tangem,. remember "Not your keys, not your wallet",. Tangem gives you no access to your seed phrase- making recovery of lost funds impossible.. If the lost is ever lost, stolen, broke, lost in a house fire,. or any other nonsense- all your funds are lost forever.I'd recommend waiting for Ledger Stax to be released, or grab an Ellipal Titan Mini (EAL5+ encrypted, air-gap),. must be the mini version though.. the bigger version isn't safe to use (can technically be exploited if someone has physical access to the device).

In 2023 if a wallet provider ain’t open source, they’re just another Ledger in the making
SafePal is not open source. And that's for my the reason I don't buy it.
So Open source has its pitfalls, just like closed source. For example open source can be studied and exploited. But I understand, I am a open source guy. However, just one of many options I covered on this channel.

@@SerpentXTech agree. It has worked fine for me . Sometimes QR codes take a while to scan but I love that it's airgapped . I don't want to connect to my computer to transact. Someone once told me that all the Chinese miners only use safepal because it's so hard\impossibke to hack.
