I'd be dope if you created a vid on how to migrate from Ledger. Many will just use the same seed on other wallets, which isn't optimal. Migrating will cost time, tx fees & money for other wallet, no matter what.
Just start a completely fresh wallet and seed phrase when you buy another cold wallet and send over your crypto. Don't reuse or import your old seed. Takes time but worth it. Also always send test amounts first!

This problem can't be solved. Either the hardware has the ability to import and export keys, or the hardware has a hardware-bound key that cannot be exported. On the latter, if you lose the hardware you lose everything. The best alternative is to use an MPC wallet where the key is never present in any single environment and an attacker would have to break into multiple places to steal a key, greatly improving security.

Very enlightening.....my opinion is there is no more secure way than in your own head......unless you have a photographic memory to remember the words for the seed phrase.... which is best written down in hard copy and stored safely. and possibly encrypted etc......the access to my bank account is far less than this and pin numbers for using a credit or debit card only have 4 numbers and the encryption strip on the card..........you could have a million dollars in your bank account and the only protection against unauthorized withdrawals is the daily limit on your account.
