You can try the traditional method of booking when dates are released on the 15th of each month or keep an eye on recreation.gov for cancellations. What worked for me was setting up alerts on recreation.gov for the dates I wanted to camp; I did this months in advance, and although it took some time, I got lucky and secured two campsites. Another tip is to try for a campsite during the week, as I've noticed that people tend to cancel more often on weekdays than on weekends. I hope this helps, and good luck securing a spot!
