Confused but open. I’m 50 years old & used to be a homophobic Christian until my dear friend came out to me. Now I am considering that SSA is not sinful but if I’m open to that then, logically, I’d have to be open to other forms of sexuality. I want to do more research but am convinced that the Holy Spirit will lead & guide me in ALL truth. I’m so grateful I found your channel/podcast & look forward to more episodes. God bless you

I think the bible classifies the act of homosexuality as a sin, not the attraction. But lust, whether straight lust or homosexual lust is sinful. And logically, if marriage is between a man and a woman (Biblically speaking) then all other sexuality is unbiblical/not marriage in God's eyes. And then if we look at the word homophobic, it is often used incorrectly. If we look at the original meaning of phobia, it was a medical term, used to classify certain fears, like fear of heights, fear of spiders, etc. The way it is being used now is incorrect. If a God-fearing Christian chooses not to alter the Bible based on modern-day society, they are deemed homophobic, by default. But they aren't actually scared of homosexual people, the only thing we have to fear is God Himself. But by that same logic, using the word homophobic as it is used today, *ALL* gay people are Christaphobic/Godaphobic/anti- God. So that whole word of homophobic is not actually being used in the right way. And then, if we use some peoples' logic, then by default there must be a such thing as heterophobia, bisexualophobia, etc etc etc.

I'm only 23, but studying biblical scholarship and theology in a Christian college brought me a whole lot of change in my relationship with God and the Bible in a very short time. All I can say is: if you believe that the Spirit of God is leading you in this direction, to be open to other forms of sexuality, then the Spirit of God will give you a vision of the Word that is consistent with the place where he's leading you.

@@dragongirl7978 I just did a quick Google search on homophobia. The first definition that comes up is, "dislike of or prejudice against homosexual people" So aversion/fear is not really what people mean when they call Christians homophobic. I don't know any Christians who are legitimately fearful and scared when they are in the proximity of gay people. And there is no such thing as an anti-LGBT Christian and a pro-LGBT Christian. That in itself is segregating the body of Christ, unnecessarily. We are called to be united. I don't feel any aversion or repulsion to gay people, I have many friends who are gay. So if I was scared or repulsed by them, why would I have friends who are gay? My entire point is we are all sinners, and none of us have exceptions. A straight fornicator is just as sinful as a gay one. And the only Truth is in the Bible, people will tell you thinks that directly contradict the Word of God. If most people are homophobic then most gay people are anti-God, by your logic.

Dillon Sudduth Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (Matt. 7:1-6)

Heart Swap with the Bible verse one, it doesn’t make it any less valid. It’s still true and biblical as “tired” as people may be with it.
Secondly, I agree with you. But I don’t think we have a place to call out whether others are saved or not. Jesus has an edge but he has a whole lot of grace and forgiveness. He doesn’t just call people out. There’s always a step two, whether that be grace or a lesson or guidance or saving.
I for one am not homosexual, but if God has called me to do as follows
“Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Best believe I’m going to love everyone and love God.
We are called to hate sin not people

    • @BubblesZitumane
      @BubblesZitumane 5 років тому

Heart Swap I’m happy we’re mostly on the same page. I think reading Romans 14 was super helpful for me in its entirety (it doesn’t excuse homosexuality) but gives us an insight on how we should view Christians of “weaker” faith or of different practice.

@@bluemaverick5641 You need to actually hear what Jackie HERSELF has said about this topic rather than what a 3rd party is saying what she said. Jackie makes it very clear being gay is a choice because we are all born sinners. Being a pedophile isn't a choice either, nor is being a murderer, a liar. It's our sinful nature inherited from Adam that makes us have no choice is those sins. However it's a choice to remain in those sins when God has provided a way out through Christ.
That's why 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." The Bible goes on to say, "And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
That's why Jackie CHANGED. She was a sinner who practiced her sins and once she repented she gave up her sin for Holiness. Paul murdered Christians before he became a follower of Christ. Once he was saved he stopped his murdering ways. You need to follow Jackie's social media, read her book and listen to her speak, she makes it very clear that you can't be an unrepentant sinner who follows Christ. There is no such thing as a pedophile Christian, a murdering Christian, a thief Christian, an adulterating Christian, etc. You're a new creation when you repent "the old has gone and the new has come." God gives you new desires, because you're no longer a slave to sin and instead are slave to Christ. So yes being gay isn't a choice because you're automatically conceived in sin. But to remain in that sin when a way out has been provided is a choice. And Jackie chose to leave because she loved Holiness more than she loved sin.

@@viridianacortes9642 while it's true that a lot of bisexual Christians judge gay christians by saying "oh but why don't you just love the opposite gender like i do", i think that jackie is actually lesbian or at least has a strong strong preference for women. I read her book and the way she describes her first and only relationship with a woman was absolutely beautiful and full of love. You could literally see how much they loved each other. However, her relationship with her husband, she describes as a constant battle and she always to this day struggles with ssa (like she says).
I'm bisexual myself and i can't really relate with her book since I don't have a problem with dating men my whole life. I'm currently in a happy relationship with my boyfriend but that doesn't mean i'm straight. I've had girl crushes before and I know that i love girls too. And I'm not saying it's not hard for me to neglect that love (which i don't do btw since i don't think it's a sin), but it's certainly not hard for me to love the opposite gender. That's where I'm different from gay people since for gay people, loving the opposite gender in a romantic way is basically impossible. I hate that many bi Christians judge gay christians for that...

"How beautifully diverse is God's creation?" Loved that! I'm a lesbian and was raised in a Christian household. After coming out to my mom I was forced into prayers, she doubled down on church attendance, she would read the bible to me. Now she's calmed down and doesn't preach but it still hurts me that she views who I am as a sin. I strongly believe this is why suicide rate is high among LGBTQ teens. It is upsetting that Jackie’s story of used as a weapon. Were it not, it could have the potential to be revolutionary. There is no one story of a gay Christian. If a girl or boy grew up with this image of the classic picture of a family and were devastated by the realization of their same sex attraction, her story could give those people hope, even if they were to eventually decide that God would bless their marriage to a person of the same sex. Knowing that there are multiple ways to love and follow God as a queer person that still validates you and your identity and feelings is incredible.

I'm straight but the first time I felt truly overwhelmed with peace in God and a love for Him was when I first came to accepting my own sexual nature. I may also be demisexual, so I was fine most of my life because I simply did not experience sexual attraction to anyone in particular, until I was in my mid 20s. And now in my relationship with my boyfriend, suddenly I was facing how to be Christian, and express myself. My boyfriend is one of very few people, if not the only person, I feel I can be all of myself around. He's atheist but he is supportive of all sides of me. My faith, my sexuality, everything. It was in finding freedom within myself, to be all of myself, that I came closer to God I think.

However, the way she chooses to think and live her life is far from the image of peace and happiness that she thinks she is projecting.
She essentially admits to living a lie!!! But it’s all for Christ right? As long as she thinks she’s pleasing god, she is content with suppressing her misery for the sake of not being shamed or damned to Hell.
It is so freaking SAD. No one should have to feel that way. I can’t even believe the trauma she adds on to her soul. She has been through so much, all in the name of the god she serves. But her indoctrinated fear holds her back from acknowledging her own toxic and self deprecating behavior.

    1) I'm so jealous you're friends with Grace. I've been such a fan of her's for years and I think she's just amazing.
    2) There was a small discussion in the comments on one of your last videos that you mentioned here about division, unity, and othering people. You responded and I sincerely hope that I didn't make you think that I don't support the idea of bringing people over to our side. I have to admit, I'm extremely tired and hurt but I am someone who wants to be a reflection of God's love more than anything. So while I still believe that the idea of unity isn't going to fix everyone and there are bigger battles to be fought (mainly legislatively), I realize I have to work on softening my heart before things get even worse - change is possible and I have to remember that.

I saw Grace's videos on Refinery 29 and how she exposed the Christian music industry. Those who had come out of it were free to be more creative and sing about their emotions more. Like this channel owner I was expected to get into Christian music and found it lacking. I look back and now realise how bad it was. It's like fake perfumes. Even the Body Shop and Lush have stopped making perfumes that smell like fine perfumes and came up with their own formulas and names. The notes in Christian music are too elongated and there isn't much rhythm. At first I could only listen to bands like REM and Blur and couldn't get onto the faster or heavier music until later on. Just before and just after I was listening to synth pop as I couldn't bear to listen to guitars for a while because every Christian event involved singing choruses to guitars even a boat trip or a barbecue..

As a queer person I have been directed to Jackie’s books several times and personally I do find it harmful, unintentionally I believe, but still harmful. It seems to be the only gay persons’ experience the people who have recommended it to me have read, and they then come to me saying, “see this is how you should live! It’s possible to be gay and Christian, just don’t act gay!” And for me that’s not really going to work. One, I would like to find love and have a life partner, and if I were to do the straight thing that not only would be harmful to me but that partner. Mainly because I could never love them in the way they deserve to be loved. My feelings would never go beyond friendship and I would never “want” them the way you should in that sort of relationship, which I feel would be unfair to them. Two, I’m nonbinary, so who would I even be supposed to date exactly? I’m not exactly a woman and I’m not exactly a man, so can I only date other nonbinary people? Anyone as long as they’re not nonbinary? I’m I supposed to just not be nonbinary? Which I don’t know how I would just not “be” nonbinary, even if I was presenting more toward the gender I was assigned at birth I’d still be nonbinary, just hiding.

Ah but Christians forgot trans people exist, and now that they're starting to figure it out, it's scaring them to death. 😂 In all seriousness, western Christian worldviews aggressively rely on binary realities and that includes gender - the concept of Jackie's theology here probably extends to gender (her book says she struggled with gender dysphoria as well?). If you just choose not to live it out, you're doing the "Christian thing."

It sounds like a disease. Sexual orientation isn’t a disease. Religion is supposed to be about love & acceptance. I don’t like how so many religious people judge others who aren’t like them like crap. Why can’t people just accept each other for who they are, so what if they’re LBTGA+ that’s still a human being, that aren’t hurting anyone! Great discussion.

Jackie makes me feel so conflicted. I can see and recognize the sheer struggle and force of will she has had in order to become a wife and a mother, and how much she has sacrificed for this thing she truly believes in. She is clearly a good person, her attitudes towards conversion therapy and her honesty about how you can't just "pray away the gay" show that. And I do respect her immensely for that. But at the same time, I pity her for those same reasons, because that sacrifice was not one she had to make. That guilt, that shame you feel for this thing you cannot and should not have to control, that's something she's dealt with for so long, and I just wish there was something I could do to get her to a space where she isn't putting herself under constant emotional duress. Unfortunately, after all these years and the family she's built because of this restriction she's put on herself, it's not likely anything can get her to that place. Suffering is hard, and suffering for a cause is hard, but suffering for a cause you find out you didn't have to suffer for? That can mentally wreck somebody.

Hello I'm just wondering, did you check out their youtube channel? She is happy. She love her husband and children. Preston, her husband is also a wonderful guy. And also if you read her book, gay girl good God,she explained there why she and Preston had a hard time in the beginning of their relationship. It is not because she is forcing herself to love him. It is because that trauma and mistrust she have for a man in general. She said she was 6 or 7 when a teenage boy sexually abused her. In the book she said,God doesn't asked her to be straight, but asked her to love Him. And trust Him. She may still have a struggle with SSA,but I doesn't mean that she doesn't love her husband. And that she is suffering.

    • @maiarustad5062
      @maiarustad5062 2 роки тому +1

@@purplehatdog5796 Hello, and thanks for responding in a kind manner even though we disagree. I don't doubt that she loves her husband, love and attraction are very complicated things, and building a life with someone is a deep and profound kind of love that is just as valid as any other kind. My worry for her suffering is the shame and restrictions she puts on her own feelings. If she was comfortable with her attraction to women, accepted it as a part of herself rather than having to excise it and disown it from her personality? Then I wouldn't at all feel bad for her for marrying a man. My aunt identifies as primarily lesbian and still married a man and had two wonderful kids with him. I don't feel bad for her, or question how she loved him, even though she was firm in stating her lesbianism and even though the marriage eventually ended for unrelated reasons.
To hone in on two of your sentiments though, that God doesn't ask her to be straight but to love/trust him, and your phrasing that she still "struggles" with her SSA. To the latter, that struggle is exactly where my pity comes from, because I don't think it's something that should require any sort of struggle. To the former, if love/trust in God was all that was being asked for, if she did not feel like straightness was asked of her, then why did she feel the need to forgo relationships with women from then on? There are many lesbians who love and trust God (not me, I'm an atheist, but they're out there), and love and trust that the way he made them was the way they should be.

While I try to respect JHP's position, it's so aggravatingly naive and not worthy of respect. Saying she identifies as ex-gay, or that her marriage doesn't make her holy, doesn't change the harmful ideology that would call Grace's marriage to be broken up, or to prevent any queer person from having a relationship. Asking queer people to respect christians who hold those anti-gay positions is also harmful. We shouldn't respect beliefs that dehumanize people or disrespect their autonomy in favor of a narcissistic god trying to control our sexuality and relationships. Also it's naive because of course other people call her "ex-gay" because she is saying things that modern ex-gay people say. Conversion therapy is out and JHP's position is just the new way Christians have pivoted from their approach without changing their anti-gay answer.

Nah, Jackie's understanding of what it means to deny yourself and carry your cross is correct. You said for people who say the Bible is the only authority. They need to consider the truth. What is The Truth? You said all we have been taught has been from a human beings interpretation. Yet, you offer more human beings interpretations as "truth." How is that different? Also, I believe Jackie's approach to this subject is almost the best christian approach to this topic. In love, kindness, and respect for the other persons humanity and the struggles they face. Anyone who is out their protesting saying "God Hates Gays" is a Pharisee, and do not understand Jesus. However, why do we need more than God's Word? Saying that we do is denying God, He gave you his word to reveal himself to you. And yes somethings about Him are hard to understand and go against our sinful human nature. That's because God is Holy. We gloss over what "God is Holy" actually means, the weight of that is important. The term homosexuality may not have been explicitly said in the Bible. However in the original Greek and Hebrew, for example Romans 1 would be translated "men who sleep/lay with other men." Yes this means sex. It wasn't called that back then, but the action was still known clearly. I have struggled with pornography, and having sex before marriage before I became a Christian. But, now that I am in Christ I strive daily to deny the desires of my sinful broken flesh. And nothing but good has come from it in my relationship with God. Christianity ultimately goes against the Culture of the World. We must live in the World, but not be of the World. Tell me who embraces the culture of the world? Grace? Or Jackie? By this logic, should I start attending a pornography affirming church? Or a Polyamorous affirming church? Where does it end? Your identity should be in Christ, not your sexuality. When Jackie says, "I identify as a Christ because Christ is who I serve." She is denying herself and serving her God, placing the identity of Christ above all things. When Grace says, " I am a Lesbian/Homosexual Christian," She is places her sexual identity first, above her identity in Christ. I am not denying Grace's or anyone who struggles with SSA, that they don't know Jesus. I am not the judge of that. However, just like my sins, Christ peeled back the scales form my eyes so I could see where I was broken, and where he could heal me if I just denied myself and accepted the love of Christ.
Sorry, this logic is flawed, and self serving. God did not make any mistakes, He is Holy, therefore Perfect, Therefore he created perfectly. He created Male and Female for many reasons. But, Marriage, and sex is explicitly between a Male and Female in Marriage. I have said Nothing of my own opinion that is not backed up by Scripture. So, if you took the time to Read this ask God to remove scales from your eyes. I still do it everyday, and nothing but peace and joy come from it.
I understand your heart, but the world's definition of love, is not the Love of God.

Teghan Smith God loves all people. So much so that Jesus died on the cross to pay for everything we have done wrong so we can be free. God hates sin though, he’s very clear about that. Some sins are sex outside of marriage (God defined marriage as between a man and woman), lying, stealing, murder, jealousy, gossip to name a few. He gives us his power so we don’t have to keep sinning because He knows we are incapable ale of changing ourselves.

@@bluemaverick5641 No, we have all fallen short from the glory of God! Exactly, we should believe in Christ and follow His ways! The thing that I am not understanding is, why some gay people think they are an exception to God's Word..... we are ALL in the same sinful boat! Neither the adulterers, nor the fornicators, nor the sexually immoral, etc will inherit the Kingdom of God! Period. No sin is above the other. So a straight fornicator is just as sinful to God as a gay person, in His eyes. How can one identify as a sin? If God is righteous and despises sin, how can one identify as a sin? If I introduce myself.... and I say, "Hi, I'm a Christian and I'm a murderer. Hi, I'm a Christian and I'm a prostitute, Hi I'm a Christian and I'm a robber.... people would look at me like I'm crazy, but Hi I'm a Christian and I'm gay is okay? and Hi I'm a Christian I'm a perpetual fornicator and will never turn away from fornication ever isn't? We are ALL called to turn away from our sin, that is my entire point. Gay, straight, old, young, we are all called to turn away from our sin. How can gay people be brought closer to God by being allowed to marry? If he says the act of homosexuality is an abomination, and God Himself is righteous and Holy, how can the celebration of a sin bring them closer to Him? Unless they are numb and have no convictions or lukewarm, they will feel very far distant from Him. Our lives are not comprised of us constantly thinking, "Oh, how can I not sin today" Once we are transformed by God and His word, we naturally stray away from our fleshly desires. It happens overtime. We are not called to lives of complacency.

YourCreativeDreamer Makes sense. Though I do think a discussion between Brenda and Jackie that allows Jackie to go more in-depth about her views on this issue would be really, really interesting :)

*I like how Jackie says God calls us to Him and holiness, not to be straight. I also love how she says her marriage doesn't make her holy or save her. Especially for me personally I grew up in a culture where marriage is kind of the end all/ultimate goal. I thought this video was put respectfully, that "Diabolos" was interesting too. Although we must remember to seek what God says about truth and who we are, not what is common in culture today. I thought the ending was beautiful, them in church and hugging each other. God is a God of unity* :) James 4:12

I'm not asking this question out of disrespect, just curiosity but if Jackie is still attracted to girls yet she has a husband doesn't that make it unfair on her husband because she's only (I assume) romantically attracted to him rather than sexually? And if she's still attracted to same sex but she just has a husband doesn't that still mean that she has that 'sin' in heart, she's just acting on it. I'm not trying to disrespect anyone and I may have just missed something out in the video but I'd be grateful if someone could kindly answer my questions

People can say many things. I can say "I am a beluga whale from the Dead Sea," but does that make it true? Lots of people commit so something, and when it doesn't work or it damages their mental health, they lie and say it does. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes.
God I hope, for her sake, that she's happy.

All on this Video is about feelings. Where is the Bible? The foundation of Christianity isn’t the bible? I respect all the opinions, but Bible is the authority of my life.

I can't imagine that God would make some one gay and then expect them to marry someone of another gender. I have always been of the opinion that because God created all of nature, going against nature is a sin.

I've come across one of your videos today, and watched three so far. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am a Christian - lesbian - happily married woman. And honestly yes, as it happens occasionally - have been struggling lately with my faith and if God really loves me as I am. Throughout all of your videos, you have made me want to open my bible again and read. To open my heart and my mind and understand things in a different manner. Instead of opening the bible and hating the things that I read (like scary stories of rape, "homosexuality" etc.. The fact that you're flooding my heart to open my bible again and not be scared of my faith - THAT is LOVE. Thank you

Sometimes I feel sooo uncomfortable with what is being preached to me and then all I want to do is walk in love with everybody including the lgbtq community. I love your videos it helps me become more closer to God and taught me how to look for answers instead of relying so heavily on someone else. I'm still sorting through. What my morals are and me theology and i am so sure that the grace and love of God is all encompassing thank you for reminding me of that Brenda!

We are called to walk in love with everyone and correct in love as well. The Truth is the Truth no matter who knows it... and there can only be one Absolute truth. Everything else is deception. So if one person says he/she is a gay Christian and the Bible calls homosexuality along with a multitude of other things a sin, either the person or the Bible is wrong... it's crystal clear. Just as straight people fornicating is an abomination... it's crystal clear.

God is grey?? This doesnt sound right...God is transparent and HE is what He says He is and doesn't change his ways.

    • @nujiarts
      @nujiarts 3 роки тому +2

I don't think it refers to how God defines himself. God IS transparent. What is grey is our individual perspectives of him. Everyone has a different perception of God. Our knowledge of him isn't perfect and nowhere near enough to see ALL of him. So I believe that it means that everyone's perception is different, and that that is what can average to the masses to think that God is more grey than transparent to us because of how little we know about him and how people can sometimes refuse to discover him for themselves.
I hope that makes sense ^_^

Another fantastic video on gay Christianity, Brenda! Thank you for your well-researched, lovingly presented videos.
I’m especially glad you addressed the “ex-gay” label placed on Jackie Hill-Perry by mainstream Christianity. She’s not ex-gay; by her own admission, she is still attracted to women. Since she is (apparently happily?) married to a man, I would consider her bisexual, not lesbian, which matters, because it paints an unrealistic picture that gay women can just suck it up and marry a man if they “love God enough”. Just as Grace Baldridge said, the side of Christianity JH-P stands with is still very damaging to those of us who fall far to the homosexual end of the Kinsey scale and want to serve God.
For me, and maybe for a lot of gay Christians, I either marry a woman (or man if you’re a guy) or I remain single. There is no other alternative. And the concept of being gay and being holy are not polar opposites, nor are they mutually exclusive! They can, and do, go hand in hand. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made and capable of serving God no matter our sexuality.

I was in a very bad position about God and religion before I find your channel, I love God so much, but I was feeling so confuse about Him because of things that religion makes us believe, that I never truly believed were God things, I feel so good to see christian people talking about the lgbtq and God, this is making me so so so happy! Thank you so much!! I would love to know your opinion about transgender people too

You don't have to be in a religion to follow Jesus! When Jesus walked in our world there was no Catholic church, Protestants, Methodist, or Lutherans, only followers of Christ. You can read the Bible yourself and decide what you believe. I recommend people start with the gospel of John.

I think rather than us trying to define who is a Christian, we should study what the bible says. We might be VERY surprised about who God says will inherit the kingdom of God. Certain things just are sins no matter how natural they feel. If we are comfortable with living a life of sin but trying to claim we love God, the word of God says that we are liars and the truth is NOT in us. I love my friends who identify as gay and we have a great relationship but I will never distort the word of God in order to be accepted or make people feel at ease. Jesus’ gospel is very radical. he came to divide with the word of truth and he told us people wouldn’t like it and would make up new gospels to suit their own needs. Please people read your bibles and don’t be conformed to the world Romans 12:2

Jackie Hill Perry was crystal with what she was saying and did not sugar coat this and personally I feel like there's a lot of sugar coatiing going on the comment section or even the video itself which is a risky doctrine to a saint who might watch this and is going through troubles of sexuality. Jackie, in the original video was reflecting total surrender! which means it don't matter how you feel about sex or what you feel towards a gender but it's about you serving God and by serving Him everything about sex is DEFINED IN HIS TERMS!!! and His terms of sexuality are defined in scripture Genesis chapter 2&3!

  • @omeibongos

God calls us to holiness first. Grey is not an attribute of God. Holy is an attribute of God. God would rather have remain single and celibate lives than live in homosexual (or sexually immoral, sex outside of marriage) relationships that leave us at risk of losing eternal life.
Life is short--100 years or so, tops. Eternity is long, endless. God calls us to enduring, persevering trust in Him. That does not include living in homosexual relationships.
Losing eternal life is sooooo much more hurtful to the LGBTQ community than not affirming their same-sex relationships. The most important resource is Scripture. We turn away from Scripture towards other "affirming" resources because they tell us what we want to hear. But there is only one Truth. And it is found in God's word.
God does not affirm same-sex relationships. But Christ died for us all so that by His Spirit, we could live lives that honor him, even if it means lives of abstinence and sacrifice. But we can endure the sacrifice because we have an eternal joy set before us, and no fleeting relationship is worth losing that.
