- In September 2021 during a week of sailing and diving off the catamaran SAILDIVE we were lucky enough to dive with a majestic blue shark.
The SAILDIVE, owned by Paolo Gaspar, is departing from the island of Faial in the Azores, Portugal. A special thanks to him and and his fantastic crew - Rita's food will be long remembered.

Such a beautiful and graceful creature! Amazing footage
This looks like pure magic to me. Bluesharks are my favourite and prototype of every shark. Just watching their deep blue back is awesome for itself.
Was ein wunderschönes und elegantes Tier.
No signs of aggression, pectoral fins flat, no sudden movements. This shark is 100% curious and 0% angry or hungry
Majestic and elegant animal
Thank you 🙏 What a majestic creature 😍 so peaceful and beautiful
The scene and music just gets me so emotional. Like the shark is trying to tell us something or waiting for us to tell it something. Beautiful footage in every way. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful 😍
I can see why many people who dive with sharks say the blue is their favorite.
amazing video and beutifull blue shark
Nice footage
Incredible! I wish I can meet one someday.
Love how its just cruising around for the photo op.
Wow 🤩
footage is amazing, but personally i don't like the fact that you're making them associate humans with free food. it can be really dangerous both for us and for them.
How so? Blue sharks are pelagic and very few people ever encounter them. With such little and infrequent human I interaction, it won't affect them in anyway and won't pose a threat to people. It won't change their behaviour. Once they realise the food is gone they'll move on an do what they've always done
famous shark
Shark thinking , bait on a line , which one should I eat lol lol lol
As bad as this may sound, i hope you fed that blue. Im sure he or she is very hungry and the open ocean is mostly empty space. Great footage, hope a reward was given lol
They always leave one of the divers behind for the sharks.
@@g00gle5ucks5 phew that's a relief.
He winks at you 2:16.
Yes :)
To protect the eyes, in close encounters.
Hi,
I am working on a small documentary project where we are diving around Europe. We are observing trends and highlight questions as marine protected areas and overfishing. Blue shark is one of the species that is mentioned and I wonder if we could use any of this material in the documentary?
Let me know if this sounds interesting.
Best regards

Hi Mattias, thanks for reaching out! Yes, this sounds interesting! How can I contact you?
@@moniadventure That sounds great! I have tried to write my email but youtubes algorithms keeps deleting the message so you can ad me on messenger instead. Mattias Granberg, has a picture of a dog that catches a frisbee as profile picture.
Hi, I do not have a Facebook account, so no access to messenger, maybe you can add an email address in this form, e.g.: mattias.granberg at g.mail.com and delete it later on for privacy.
The blue shark's eyes make them look like they're high on meth.
BLÅHAJ
;)
Baiting sharks to see them is dangerous for them and humans. If you see one naturally diving fine. If not, do not encourage them to associate humans with food.
Shark won’t eat you ?
Thank you for your concern. There are some rules and tipps on how to safely interact with sharks 🦈. But of course, it is safer to stay out of the ocean 😉.
You've watched too many movies if you think a blue shark is dangerous
Blues aren't the type to attack human's.
