He waited for the shark to tire itself out so it couldn't bite them.
There you go!! A man after my own heart. Thank you for helping him!
Yeah, I wouldn’t call them a hero. They waited a whole minute and 18 seconds to decide to do anything and just video taped it while it struggled and couldn’t breathe. Yes they saved it in the end but think about this. Imagine you were drowning and were unable to save yourself and somebody comes along and saves you but only after they take a video of you drowning for a minute and 18 fucking seconds. How would you feel towards that person after that? Would you still consider them a hero?! Sharks may not have the same thinking capacity of human beings but they are still living breathing creatures just like us. Screw the fucking video and the likes you would get from it you are prioritizing content over the consideration of the agony another living organism is expressing. That goes for the person who took this video as well. It’s just selfish allow someone or something to continue suffering longer just so that people can recognize you as some sort of hero for doing it. It’s absolutely disgusting.
@@yog-thaquasleeperofrlyeh2816 you would be scared as well to go near a struggling shark, because the shark doesnt know if you want to help or eat him.
@@Sijakura exactly
@@Sijakura actually I would not. I have had plenty experience working with larger reptiles in the past while volunteering with the herp society with a friend of mine. Snakes, and large lizards may not be the same as sharks but when working with them you have a good chance of getting bitten while working with them, especially when they have been abused. I will tell you, with some animals like water monitors and bigger tegus it really does hurt like a son of a bitch to get bitten, but that is also just part of handling them and and after some time it doesn’t really frighten you as much anymore, and I doubt that would change in this circumstance. Also, even if this isn’t the case for the people in the video, there are plenty of other good ways to go about this that don’t include the risk of getting bitten, like in this case, he could have easily found something long to nudge it with that wouldn’t hurt the shark like a surfboard or something else and it wouldn’t be too hard to do that if he timed it with the tide. But no, he was too busy with his head up his ass thinking about the views he would get to consider such an easy solution so don’t give me bullshit about me being afraid to so jack in that situation because this is just stupid. Besides the only time he looked scared at all was after he was finished taking pictures, you could see his entire attitude change.
shark is really tired and he is trying to survive .

Right! I am so glad they helped, but was SO difficult to watch them film it, and wait to help. Swim lil guy…
I'm just saying, you shouldn't rush to save wild animals especially if they can bite your arm off, how they did it was perfect to wait til it's exhausted and than move in to rescue it, I've seen plenty of videos where rescuers get hurt helping an animal because they rushed to help, just fyi

Good job getting that blue dog back in the ocean. Such a sad sight to see this fish in distress. I grew up at sea on my dad's commercial fishing boat. Every chance I got I would go out with my dad and the crew. Blue Sharks are one of the most common of sharks off the coast of southern California. They eat the same thing tuna eat. We would hook onto them all the time. We would get the hook out of them and release them. Seen some huge blue shark out there. Some 8 to 10 feet. Once again. Great job getting him back out off the beach. Shark are very intimidating to say the least. It was a dangerous rescue.
It's not a damn dog it's a shark. Not everything is cute and cuddly in this world.
@@magilla2282 No shit. A lot of fisherman including myself call them blue dogs. I don't know the origins of that nick name, but that's the handle they've been given by some commercial fisherman. Dogs can be vicious and deadly, but I don't want to see a dog suffer either. No living thing should suffer when it can be saved. No telling what this shark did after this. Could've been caught in a net and hour later and finned, gutted and thrown down in an ice hold of a boat. Could still be swimming. People that can watch something suffer and do nothing about it not even at the very least ask for someone to help are the type of people who wipe their ass and sniff the toilet paper.
