I love your granny square blankets 2018 I believe is the year for granny 👏👏I’m a new one back in October but still a greenhorn and called nana😊 When I did research I didn’t realize how long granny had been around and they did not originally come from USA. I made my daughters baby blanket from an historical big one square the original was made by a wounded soldier in the Crimean war who lost some fingers he was taught by a woman.probably more information than you wanted to know. I love your videos. There making me feel better ❤️

Hi Jayda, I’m a very seasoned crocher (50* yrs!!, self taught!! Lots of stitches!!), and tge granny is my fav also because there are so many varieties and ways to join the squares!! And use different borders!! I always used #; acrylic on all the many blankets I’ve made throughout the yrs, gave everyone of them away as gifts!! I think I want one for me now!! Easy is top on my priority list!! And! If I have time, if I have time, I’d love to make a throw for my sis in law for Christmas and a granny for my son. For his, I’ll orb as boy go w/the tutorial u did with the solid granny because men have big ties n big feet n he’s 6’ 8”!!!! So, He has BIG FEET!! Lol
I already bought yarn a long while ago, hysterical never got motivated
He’ll love it n so will she
For her’s, I’m thinking an off white, cream color, with 3 dimensional roses n leaves cascading in one corner, thicker st top end n much less st bottom with smaller roses there., in deep red color. She had s red couch…
    Thanks for all your tutorials..

I have learned so much from your clear explanations. I have a question. Where can I find a yarn needle like you use with the flexible wire eye end? I am from South Australia and a Facebook member of a popular Australia wide crochet community. Weaving in yarn ends is the bane of my life when yarn is thick. Is such a struggle to thread the eye. I have found something similar on line but your needle looks much narrower than the KnitPro variety. Many thanks in advance. 😍😍

Based on your pattern for the 2016 calendar blanket, I'm doing a 2018 temperature blanket in 2 row granny squares, BUT in 2 colors, the center in a color dictated by the low temperature, the outer row in the color for the high temperature. I want the months to be uniform rectangles, so I'm doing 'filler' squares to fill out the weeks to be an even 35 squares per month. I'll stitch together, then do a border of granny shells around the month. When they are all done, I'll piece the months together much like your 2017 blanket, and do a similar outer border.
I started learning to crochet from your channel about 3 years ago, with 0 ability to even chain stitches, let alone make sense of a pattern or tell a sc from a dc, and I feel like I've come pretty far already. Thanks, Jayda. :)

I wanna make like this blue blanket as a present for my mother 🥰 it's very calming 🐣🏵️😊🧡 I think about using all kinds of crochet stitches in this 🙃 first row: double crochet
    Second row: treble crochet
    Third: half treble
    Fourth row: double treble 😅
Trying to practice the four of them at once over and over 😄
My grandmother used to be a very talented knitter 🧓 and crochier 🧶🤍 she lived 70 or something like that 🐣...... My mother always tells me she did a lot of great stuff with her mother 🥰🤍🧶
Now I am trying to teach my mother crochet 🙈🍀

Those naughty Amigurumis always hiding things from you. But they are sooo cute. Thank you for doing another granny square. I already done a solid square with your old tutorial. Anxious to see this one though. You're a good teacher. I like the way you end the rows, and then slip stitch those two next stiches and space. I didn't do that but I will now.
Also, thanks for the great tip of weaving in tails.
