~Tapping into Your Potential Where Others Saw None~
One of my all time favorite songs. Ever.
Lead singer: Ronnie Van Zant. May he Rest In Peace. Gone way, way too soon.
As I sit here in 2023,I wonder what we missed out on 😢. Gone way too soon🙏🏻
All of them gone way too soon
Pick anything by Skynyrd to react to and you just simply can't go wrong. Not a single bad song in their entire catalog. FACT!!
Amen to that! They’re not the possession of just the South anymore, rather a world-wide gem of a band related to any person with a genuine soul!
This is by far the best rock band ever in my opinion How many bands can you say every song they sang was a good song in such a short amount of time Man These boys knew how to to it They have so many songs that tell the stories of their music and life kinda like country music but with the rock and blues sound with a little soul to Great band
Thank You Brother. Not sure why people don't understand the truth! WOW
All I Can do is Write About It is my favorite Skynyrd song ❤❤.
Much Love ❤
My fav song of all time
Same here.
Ronnie Van Zandt was a master poet. He wrote to relate to the every man. He never wrote down a lyric, he said if you had to write it down it wasn't worth remembering.
That's right. And every word he "wrote" was worth remembering. There's a wealth of knowledge in Ronnie's songs. One of my favorites is I Had To Write It in a Song.
~ aLesa on my husband's account ✝️
Your so right!!
He said "too bad i dont got any wiskey" lmao bro the soul in this song brings tears to my eyes. Most modern music is missing soul.
This is my favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd song right here... Just that guitar intro gets me every time. Great reaction brotha, keep em comin'.
Love Skynyrd! So many great songs! Try Gimme Back My Bullets.. That Smell is a great one too...phenomenol guitar work!
OOOOOH Look at you doing the BEST SONGS others think they're too good to do!!!...NICE!!!!...THE BEST BAND EVER .73-77,,YOU NEED TO HEAR ..WAS I RIGHT OR WRONG.....I know it really dont come down to race but Im biracial and this is the first band that ever got to my soul and is still #1 to me....FOUR WALLS OF RAIFORD is bluesy as hell too
They really are awesome, aren’t they?
I get annoyed because people rarely request anything but the most overplayed and well known songs of the bands I love when there are so many great songs that are overlooked. This was was a breath of fresh air!
@@shawnj1966 Agree
Four Walls of Raiford is great! (as is Mr. Banker) If you have never listened to Jamey Johnson's cover of 4 walls of Raiford , please do so. He does a masterful job of covering the song and the Dobro player, Cowboy Eddie Long is off the charts awesome!
"One More Time" by Lynyrd Skynyrd is another classic
Give me back my bullets is a badass tune by them also..
They have a really badass song named : gimme back my bullets.
No I NEED YOU THE BEST SONGS
This band was so good They opened up for the band THE WHO in 1973 and when they first started playing people started throwing anything they had at them But they stuck with it and kept on playing and by the time they got threw they got a standing ovation and There was no bands from the US playing any concerts at this time and after people started listening to their southern style of Rockin Roll and Blues mixed together People everywhere started to take notice of this band and now they are legends I think about all the music we all missed out on When Ronnie’s life was ended way to soon I guess that old saying Only the good die young is true
Ronnie VanZant. One of the most creative song writers. He sang about real life growing up in shanty town
Staying in Southern Rock, you need to listen to Molly Hatchet - start with Flirtin' With Disaster, and Fall of the Peacemakers. Both jams, and the 2nd one has a great meaning in its lyrics.
Play a song called SWAMP MUSIC by Lynyrd Skynyrd, backwoods upbeat in the southern swamp. I'm old school , was a young Jr high kid
in the 1970's
If you have Netflix, IF I LEAVE HERE TOMORROW just came out. This is a Skynyrd documentary that you may enjoy.
A great and deeply emotional song. Real feelings... and some great bluesy guitar work. THANK YOU for this video reaction!
I’m digging the Skynyrd deep cuts
They are THE BEST!!!
Do a reaction to Mr. Banker by Lynyrd Skynyrd, I think you’ll agree that this is the greatest blues tune ever written!
I agree!
👍
The best southern rock band ever Maybe the best Rockin roll band ever I mean they don’t have a bad song and the most incredible thing about them is they didn’t start performing live until 1973 and the plane crash happened in 1977 and in this short amount of time These boys made some of the best music I have ever listen to The first time I heard LS I knew at that very moment that this was my favorite band ever And the main reason is because it’s like most of their songs it’s kinda like they wrote them about me
This song is top notch, in my top 5 LS songs list, maybe top 2 and possibly #1
I love this song and it doesn't get any attention! Thank you for reacting to it!
I just watched a new documentary on Netflix last night called If I Leave Here Tomorrow: A Documentary About Lynyrd Skynyrd. I highly recommend you check it out. I learned so much about their start and how they came to be. It had voice interviews with the Ronnie Van Zant and the surviving band members told the story throughout. It was amazing!
I watched that as well. That was the first time I heard the song If I’m Wrong.
this is the first time Ive heard this song as well. I really like the guitar in it. and the vocals are always great with Lynard skynard
all Y's... Lynyrd Skynyrd!
My all time favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd song,a tough love song. Perfection
I love watching and listening to everything you do. I'm a 60's 70's lady. Music is my weakness all types. It can lift me up, settle my soul and give me energy. LYNARD SKYNRD are one of the best. There SOUL is oh so soothing. Please listen to There song Curtis Lowe if you haven't already.
Ronnie VanZant is the original lead singer. RIP. No one can replace him as far as I'm concerned but his brother has done a good job.
I really broke down when I got the news. They had so much more to offer yet They stepped up their game when acquiring Steve gains !
Lynyrd Skynyrd, the greatest Southern Rock Band.
Oh this is one of my favorite songs!!
I'm so happy your enjoying this..
Best song by them, love it.
I've seen quite a few of these 'first reaction' type videos, and you're the guy that seems to have a real gut feel for the what the instrumentation is doing. First time around! I like your vids for that reason. Anyone can dissect the lyrics. You seem to have an ability to break it ALL down accurately. Well done!
Check out Skynyrd:
I Ain't The One
Swamp Music
The Needle and The Spoon
Gimme Three Steps
Poison Whiskey
You Got That Right
Thanks!
The Steel Woods/Ashley Monroe cover is hands down my favorite version of this song. Steel Woods are an AMAZING band with a lot of influence from Skynard and the Allman Bros.
Just one singer on this beautiful song
This is mine and my husband's song. ❤️
Mr Van Zant had the swagger .... RIP to the greatest Southern Rock and Roll band
That band was ONE OF A KIND!
Four walls of Raiford by them. Needle and a spoon by them. Mr. Banker also. Can't go wrong with these.
Listen to all of them. No suggestions. All of them my friend!
Smooooth, boys had some soul…
If you like that southern blues you should check out Blackfoot highway song you'll love it
One of their best! Soulful Rock was a perfect description!
You may have already done it but their oft forgotten tune, "Coming Home" is another one you won't want to miss. Great reaction!
On the hunt is another one
Seen them right before the plane crash.it doesn't get any better .all of their songs are good ones.rip Ronnie steve and Cassie.knew i girl in citrus county who grew up with them.she had a picture of Ronnie signing his last autograph.she had shirts printed up that said i cried the day Lynyrd skynyrd died with him signing his last autograph.
Check out Things Goin' On, some incredible piano and great song!
They are G.O.A.T's R.I.P. everyone that parrished in plane crash. I love the line "your much more than a piece of leg"
soul rock...never heard that before ...but it fits...they do put their all it to it!
Please react to Give me 3 steps it's an upbeat Lynyrd Skynyrd sing. I really think you'll enjoy it.
Yes lol I use to play give me 3 steps every weekend when I was in highschool 🥰
@@jennytf6503 Me and my husband used to dance to it, in a little 16 and over club,, every weekend when we were dating.
Go listen to Four Walls Of Raiford by them
That one makes me cry.
How did I miss this video? This is one of my favorites from Skynyrd
Love
LS has backing vocalist on some tracks. Ed King, Leon, and Steve Gaines are all instrument players that harmonize with RVZ on some tracks. I think I've seen Billy Pyle on the piano singing into a mic sometimes. And then of course the ladies, the Honkettes
Me & hubby's song back in the 70s
The name of the singer from the band Lynard Skincare is Ronnie Van Zant. Keep on Rocking Dog...
Grown people music..yes sir👏🏼
Ronnie Van Zant was the lead singer and founder/leader/driving force of the band. Killed in the infamous 1977 plane crash along with band members Steve and Cassie Gaines. You’re right on the two voices in the Chorus, Ronnie’s over-dubbing himself there.
Singer is Ronnie VanZant who it is said never wrote down the lyrics to any of his songs saying :"that if you have to write it down to remember it then it ain't worth remembering"
Songs to check out :
You got that right
Double Trouble
I Know a Little
Swamp Music ✌️♥️
Trust, Double Trouble & You Got That Right, you'll not be disappointed in
Ronnie Van Zant is the lead singer never wrote anything down, he said if I have to write it down it's not worth remembering,
Every show he did he did it barefoot, said he wanted to feel the band make the stage burn
The best love song ever!!
Leon Wilkeson ( bass guitar ) often sang backup, along with the Honkettes. Ronnie Van Zant is the lead singer.
Yes, T.G. most likely Leon singing backup, although it could have been Ed King as he sang backup on some songs.
@@jamesmontgomery9523, that’s true, he did sing, too.
I dedicated this song to my soul mate Michele that past away I miss more every day 😢
Good music is just good music no more no less
Thanks fam, i sing this song to my wife everytime i drink too much. Great song 🫡🤙
Please react to was I right or wrong... The demo version is the best.... It's up beat and deep lyrically
Banger!!!! I’ve requested these on many diff reaction channels
Thank you
Since we are doing deep cuts. How about a song called On the hunt!
Well done on the choice of song! This is definitely a Deep track by Skynyrd, want a more fast tempo song, try "Give me a T for Texas, give me a T for Tennessee & "What's your name?"
CRANK IT UP! Skynyrd Baby!
soulful bluesy but hard driving rock
Them blues 🤘
Check out "On The Hunt" it's a different type of love song
Dude this song is the S%#t. Check out “I Know A Little” for some funky chickin pickin boogie’n rock n roll !
I ain't the one, Call me the breeze, Swamp music
Check out “Georgia peaches”, “things goin on”, and “ on the hunt” by them
And "Poison Whiskey"
If you like soulful rock you should check out some rockabilly 1 - The Reverend Horton Heat, "In your wildest dreams" 2 - Social Distortion, "Dear Lover"
And also the song "Daddy was a Clydesdale" by Tenderloin
Glad you like skynyrd your reactions are great you gotta listen to a song called MR.BANKER
Van these boys knew how to get down Ronnie always said if the music don’t make your feet shuffle around that he didn’t care for it
Thank you for the good review LFR!!
Hey LFR, very astute breakdown of this Lynyrd Skynyrd gem. For something upbeat try Things Goin On from the Pronounced Lynyrd Skynyrd release. Or Poison Whiskey. Thumbs up. You a cool dude 😎.
R.I.P. To all Skynyrd. Gary Rossington died the other day. The last original member.
Give "I know a little" a shot.... guitar licks unlimited.............
Great song
Hell yeah 🤠☝
Mississippi Kid by Skynyrd next please.
Hey, I just noticed the thumbnail is a band called, The Steel Woods! They are my favorite band. Should check out straw in the wind!
Was I right or wrong is an amazing song
Southern Rock at its Finest
You asked the name of the lead singer. The lead singer's name is Ronald Wayne Van Zant! I would also like to mention as a sound engineer it doesn't get any better than the original Lynyrd Skynyrd. I will say though Cody Cannon of Whiskey Myers has his own damn mules! John Jeffers and Cody Tate give it hell. This is the only band in history that I can honestly say has the same level of talent. This is my opinion anyways. Whiskey Myers has EXACTLY what Skynyrd had. I know it took me a while to discover these kats. The wait was well worth it. I will say if you or anyone reading this loves Skynyrd, listen to Whiskey Myers! You will not be disappointed. The first track I would recommend would be 'Stone'. The second track would be 'Broken Window Serenade'. You also got to check out 'Bury My Bones'. You can't leave out 'Virginia', 'Dogwood Tree', 'Headstone', 'Home', 'Bitch', ' Gasoline', 'Die Rockin', 'On The River', 'Early Morning Shakes', ' How Far', 'Guitar Picker', 'Ballad of A Southern Man', and etc. The list goes on and on and on! These guys have never written a bad song! Pound for pound, note for note,....Whiskey Myers brings it.....!!!!!
Thanks for this ! Check Out Mr Banker, On the Hunt, Needle and the Spoon, Mississippi Kid, Poison Whiskey ETC ETC
🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤
Love you BIG!
Fun fact Ronnie Van zant did not write down lyrics on paper. they were all in his head.
I forgot “ Mississippi kid” that’s another good one that’s not “mainstream”
Lead singer is Ronnie Van Zant
Call me the Breeze or Gimme Back my Bullets for upbeat
