That crooked area may have surveillance cameras of their own set up, be careful. Best you have surveillance cameras on your property as well. Also take pics and engrave your name/date of birth/phone number on all your property, mark it inside or out on each item. It's a big help besides having the AirTags.

I am a retired Police Officer with 32 years' service. I have worked in every area of law enforcement, and I have to say this to the Deputy. Sir this was a piss poor effort on your part. I mean damn man at least take some info from those people that live there, write a report and forward it to a detective for possible investigation. It's obvious they are running a theft ring right there; don't you want to shut something like that down in your area? It may be small to you but it's a big deal to the owner of the stuff. You don't always have to have a serial number if the owner can describe the item in detail prior to. I would think the Air tag being present would be enough probable cause. That old man is absolutely part of it, for crying out loud he went around back and warned someone when he saw you pull up. If this were in my state and this were my call, I would have arrested that old guy for Theft by Receiving. Thats his house and he was in possession of stolen property. At least that might make him think twice about allowing those thugs to bring stolen items to his property next time. At the very least write him a Criminal Citation (Summons to court) and write a report. Just because someone is old don't mean they aren't capable of willfully breaking the law. I am sorry but this should have been looked into further. You as the Deputy should have been the one asking all the questions. Since when does law enforcement stand idle and have the citizen conduct his own investigation lol.

You should file charges for steeling your air tag and your tire, as long as the people there confess to who actually brought it there, the home owner could be charged with receiving stolen merchandise and that may make them roll over on the real thief. Even if it is only a misdemeanor charge if they have prior convictions that could lead to a longer sentence in jail.

20 years ago I just moved into the home I am in now and we had some neighbors down the road who thought they could intimidate us. I worked away quite a bit and they would throw fireworks in the yard etc. Then on Christmas we had our decorations stolen along with other people in the area. My decorations fell apart and it trailed right to their yard along with beer cans. The police could not do anything since there was no evidence at the home just on the dead end road leading there. The other peoples decorations were found later by some hunters all thrown in a little creek. I had some time off and they had never saw me before Then one day they came down the road as I was at the end of my driveway and I had my pew pew on me my hunting pistol a 44 mag super red hawk with a 9 1/2 inch barrel. The boys rolled down their window and jokingly asked what do I shoot with that. I said anyone that pisses me off and enters my yard to steal stuff which includes your dumbasses. Its been 20 years and I never had another problem. Of course my big dogs were also a deterrent.

He was out one day hunting and stopped and was in the creek like kids do. An old green pickup with 2 guys stopped and asked if he wanted chocolate. He got out of the creek and picked up his shotgun . One of the guys yelled get out of here. He walked to a neighbors house and they called the police. When his dad showed up the policeman you don't have to worry about him talking care of himself. But if you really want to get even with him, and make sure that they get punished, call the FBI and say that you saw them at the Capitol on January 6th. They'll lock them up as quick as you can imagine, keep him in jail for a couple years until they get their day in court. The FB hired probably even make up some b******* evidence or have one of their confidential informants testify, and convicted of the so-called crime. I don’t know why UA-cam suggested your videos but I’m so happy they did! I’m so very sorry about your property theft. Truly, because I’ve had so much trouble with theft and our local LEO don’t do anything about it. But like I said I’m happy I found your channel because you are terribly handsome and I can come back and look at you as often as I want. Don’t worry, I’m not a stalker. Just a mature woman who appreciates a good looking man. I’d never leave my area because I love it here and have grandchildren who I love so very much. I hope you’ve found a way to keep your property safe from sticky fingers!

As a former Auto Theft Det./Supervisor in Pa. , there is more than enough probable cause to lock this place down and get a search warrant for this place and attempt to identify stolen motorized property, which obviously already has happened here, ( cars, trucks, boats Atv's , tractors etc. ) the owners of the property should then be charged with operating a chop shop which in Pa. is a Felony. I'm pretty sure most if not all states have similar law's unfortunately most patrol officers aren't aware of such statues In addition all of the shop tools and equipment should be seized as evidence and later forfeited if the actors are found guilty. In my opinion this is an open and shut case however it appears that the officer isn't interested in getting involved. And by the way this victims stolen property isn't the only stolen property at this location, this place is a potential gold mine for solving cases far and wide. What a shame...

I was told this by a police officer. He said there's only one set of numbers you need to have on your equipment. It can be stamped in to any part of the item. The number is your social security number. You can buy a set of harden steel stamp. After stamping the numbers in different places, take pictures. Set this guy up, he will be back, air tags will get the cops with you, that number will get the scum arrested. You should still get the state police involved. They would have taken some one to jail. You had proof it was stolen from you. Something is a little fishy going on here. The local police know and not doing anything.

Your politeness and application of not only the cop's workload but also the situation the people that stole it may be in and may have grown up around frankly made my day i watch active self protection videos from the us and the ease the have to mock the death of a human is shocking to me, if a 17 year old kid grows up around that life i'd rather offer him the opportunity to live a good life than shoot them, the thing everyone doesn't see or comprehend is a life of crime is hard very hard imagine everyone around you even your friends would steal from you or anything else like that. Its about treating people like they belong and when the 17 year old kid you give a chance to hits 40 and lives a good life i can guarantee you he will teach his children the same and would have your back until his last breath then his children would as they would understand both worlds. Hold them both in jail as long as you legally can. Make their family so upset over it that they rat on the thief and then BAM you can arrest him. Otherwise Id just take matters into my own hand and since it looks like youre in the country there is lots of places to hide a DB.

When we moved back to the property they constantly stole things from us. Without going into detail we tried the cops and found them to be impotent not doing much of anything. Eventually, I took a more aggressive approach and, I hate to say, threatened them if they didn’t keep their family away from mine. Totally unacceptable nowadays, but it worked. Maybe you need to fence in the area and have guard dogs patrolling the fenced in area.
You could set up something tempting to be stolen, but wired with a trip wire or motion detector to alert you about the theft in progress. Fully document that you own the property, and make sure the value is over $1,000, so that it will a felony charge. You could put a hidden tracker on the thing too. Depending on the gun laws in your state, you might be able to protect your property with firearms. If you don't live in a law and order state or city, then the only choices are to accept being a repeated crime victim or vote with your feet, and move to a Red state or Red city.

Elderly folks are not always innocent. In this case they are part of the theft ring going on on their property. Watch the video slowly. At time frame 12:14 grandpa- white shirt fella comes from the tool shed on the right side of the house to tip off someone. At time frame 12:22 if you watch the small gap between the tool shed and house you can see someone fleeing into the woods. Again, this is judging folks. But who allows this sort of mess around the house and not wonder where it all comes from. Grandma and Grandpaw go to sleep at night and wake up with four wheelers and blowers in their yard the next morning? Also, the dogs probably barked all night when the thiefs brought home the loot. Go to sleep grandma, that's just Timmy coming home with some more stolen junk.
Also, the good ole' boy sheriff deputy didn't challenge the grandpaw. He shouldhave done some verbal investigation on the spot. Well, that was eye-opening. The yard is full of stolen property, and nothing can be done. I'm sorry, but it's called detective work. You have to put in some time. I'm ordering a custom metal stamp right now. Then I'm going out and stamping every piece of metal on everything I own.

Unfortunately it’s what you have to do to try and get back your belongings. The metal stamp is a cool idea!

Should have taken the home owner to jail for receiving stolen property, they would have snitched real quick.

Sad that we’re living among thieves.. and the judicial system just let loose on and on.. With taxpayer money… I despise thieves..

You’re a good guy. I would be tempted to leave my phone at home and take a long walk, might just so happen to come across a house that’s on fire. 🔥 😂

Don't be so nice. That cop should have arrested someone! They had your blower, and it was found with the air tag! So what if it's dismantled! You also identified your 4 wheeler there! That should be plenty of evidence of theft! That's crazy that the cop did nothing!!! You should push this. The cop didn't even fill out a report!! 😮

Agree with you guys! Why when the police show up, would you walk away to the rear and then come back? Why would a home owner allow some random guy to bring goods to thier house? I can hear it now. Okay put that leave blower and golf cart over here and put that 4x4 over there. Oh and the tools can go in the shed there". That cop lacks the most basic skills! What happened to the cameras that were set up?

Amazing, I would have applied for a search warrant and searched that complex. I would have recovered everything and everyone's stuff. Absolutely ridiculous that a thief takes what was worked hard for.

I cought 3 guys loading up my tools and all the cops did was make them give it back but they refused to make any arrest or even sight them they actually threatened to arrest me because I had their car blocked in with my truck and the cops said if I didn't move my truck and let them out they were going to arrest me and impound my truck off my own property and the cops 5 of them said they would make sure I was held without bale for no less than 90 days

Sounds like Canada. Here the cops want you to leave your keys handy for the thieves to grab. It's easier taking a report over the phone than investigate a thief being assaulted.
