As you guys know we have a back catalogue of Automatrics theft recovery operational uploads on there way. These continue in the same format but should anyone have any suggestions to improve our videos then please share them with us in the comments section or please email us a info@automatrics.co.uk - We understand it would be good to post updates on outcomes, such as any arrests or prosecutions. However, this is quite a task for us to chase as we are normally not updated unless a witness statement is needed. Please also consider our theft recovery service is our "Primary Activity" here ... the channel will never take centre stage or be a main focus.
So another operational video from our backlog, a local theft from March 2020 with more to come !!
We received a call at 1am from a customer in Southampton asking for our help to track down his stolen Honda MSX 125 after a friend had seen his bike being lifted into the back of a van. We took the opportunity to check out a GPS reported location a few minutes after the theft prior to activating the Automatrics MTrack theft recovery system. Can we recover this bike from its last reported position ? Follow the theft recovery operation to find the answer and to reveal the final outcome
Unfortunately we had some audio issues on the equipment during filming so we had to jump in and out of the backup microphone, our apologise, we hope this does not interfere too much with your viewing experience.

Miscreants aren't a problem, it's the legal system you have to deal with after that is the problem.
There's a special place in hell for the thieves that stole this bike. To bad we can't bring it to them earlier.
I find myself wishing there was a follow up of some kind, namely a brief comment on whether the cops put the cuffs in anyone, and what their fine/sentence was. That would make your channel even MORE satisfying.

been lucky, where i live, they would have burnt it as soon as they found the fake tracker.

Roughly how much did your insurance drop when you got the tracker?
@@BigDavie2000 u just tell them u have a tracker even if u dont etc etc...
@@chokeizm unfortunately it doesn’t always work like that , some insurers will request the manufacture and model number, I’ve had a van fitted with a system that I could track personally but received no discount as it wasn’t on their authorised list.
@@chokeizm I don't think I would. They can void your insurance if they found out (i.e. When your vehicle is stolen and you can't backup your claim)

I love how you've made the game of radio fox hunting into legit business! This is good fun trying to work out what components you've used to make the devices. Recently been experimenting with bluetooth trackers and they are crap.
Bluetooth trackers are actually a lot more effective than you think. It relies on a large user base to work well.
By giving up with them, you are stifling the progression of the system.
Why not just put a bluetooth tracker in the item you want to track as a redundancy measure?

True. Not so smart of him to only only have third party insurance and not even any theft cover
@@youraveragejoe1 looked like he was a young kid, it may have been a bomb to insure it for the theft cover, or found it wasn't worth it. Due to how often these are nicked, and put the money towards a decent tracker. Which was worth its weight.
he was actually lucky the thieves were clueless as that little bike could have been stripped in minutes. As the guy said they have been found in much worse condition.

Hope they notice the hole in the side cover before trying to start it. Sad story but I know they'll get this back up and running, I've got much worse bikes back alive before :)

What a rewarding job you have, It must have moments of frustration, even if it is on the behalf of your customers. It would be nice to link your systems with photo & video recording and cloud storage capabilities to help with prosecution and recovery. The scumbags get away with too much unfortunately, but happy you guys can help with the recovery and not letting them win. Keep up the good work 👍 and fighting the good fight.

Unfortanely the thiefes damaged it but the costumer still got his bike back and may be able to fix it. Also the AMTrack giving the money that would be used to the tow truck to the costumer to help him to pay for the parts he gonna need it's a nice toutch! When a company stays so close to theirs costumers, understand and do it's best to help it's awesome and not common nowadays. I don't live in the UK but if i did and needed a tracker device on any equipment i would absolutly choose AMTrack. Keep up the good work fighting back the thiefes and stay safe!

I'm always amazed how disinterested the cops are, I guess they are too busy trolling for mean tweets to bother with actual crime.

It's nice to see companies offering a personal touch by offering to put the recovery cost towards repairs instead. So many companies would refuse and hopefully it attracts more customers.
TBH we cannot take the full credit for this idea, it was suggested by a customer some years back and we thought.... why not . We have to say it is a truly great idea and addition to our services, always well received. We do this for all customers these days 😁👍👍

Lot of bike theft in Southampton. I see it on a daily basis. Usually centred around Millbrook and lordswood.
This is my favourite youtube channel, service from these guys is first rate.

Love this channel and watched and liked every video. I know this guy didnt have theft covered in his insurance, but wouldnt that be more affordable than this tracking service.
Sorry just different here in norway where all insurances cover theft so if your car is stolen, youll get reinbursted the amount it would cost for a new or used one after youve contacted police and the vehicle is flagged etc ofc
I do of course see the sentimental part of it and my cars are my babies, however if mine was stolen (which is extreeemely rare in Norway) and i got an equivalent or even better one back id be pretty much happy. As its included in even the most affordable insurance
Bike theft is not included on third party policies in the Uk and in bike theft hotspots like this, the price of a comprehensive policy far outweighs that of a tracker and tracking service. Even then, the spiralling cost of the insurance policy if you made a claim would make it even more prohibitive.
Tracker is the best option in this case for getting the bike back and not having to suffer an insurance claim.

Another great video, and giving the lad the option to invoice for the repairs rather than paying for the recovery is a really good idea. Hopefully that will soften the blow for the repair bill.

Got a BikeTrac GPS tracking device on my 2016 Yamaha MT-125 motorcycle. It was one of the first things I put on it after my 2019 Honda PCX was stolen from the car park where I work around two years ago now. Had no chain on the damn thing, and it disappeared while I was working hard.
I've put so much security stuff on my current bike, along with the tracking device and DataTool Stealth S4 C1 Red alarm/immobiliser, so I've learned my lesson the hard way. Most of us learn from horrible past mistakes, and try our best to avoid it happening the second or even third time.

@@AutomatricsMtrack Cheers, keep the vehicle recovery videos coming, they're very entertaining to watch sometimes, and I do appreciate the hard-work that you do in attempting to recover people's prized possessions. I can understand that you need to go out of your way a lot of the times in order to meet and exceed customers expectations from your recovery services.
So many amateur and professional thieves out there, its unbelievable.. But then again, there's huge business being made out of theft, of course. Year after year, over 80,000 motorcycles are stolen each year in the UK, they just disappear from outside people's home and from car parks and are never recovered. So always chain those motorcycles to something, or use a croclock, just don't leave them about with no security on them at all.

Should easily get that repaired with some money, no problem. Shame that it was found in that sort of condition but when a motorcycle is stolen, you should always expect to find it in a very bad state like this one, various parts bended and torn off, bike itself tossed onto the ground, and covered in dirt, because thieves would very rarely ditch a bike without any damage on it at all. At least it has been recovered, most motorcycles are never found or found somewhere in local woods all burned out.

Fair play for going the extra mile, and offering to help in that way. Something is really wrong with the polices stance on theft recovery, from domestic robberies. I mean there’s umpteen videos of them showing up mob handed to a guy with a camera in a shopping centre, or some poor homeless guy trying to nick a sandwich. Just whatever you do don’t sell your businesses model to the likes of Tesco will you.
I really feel for the lad, 3 years ago round this time, i was dealing with a car theft. One bonus is he got the bike back in one piece, thanks to you people. I suspect it will have been someone local to him, that knew the area and where to dump the bike, if needed. Looks like he could have that back up and running again, for them nicking the battery, i recon that could have been someone passing, or them taking it, just to get something out of it, so it wasn't a full waste of time.
Giving them that second option is great. Definitely can tell this is worthwhile
