is it possible that ECU faults can’t be fixed? And have to scrap the car?

I don’t think you’d have to scrap a car, but definitely scrap the ecu. He fixed his for about 300-400$ … so a whole ecu for your car specifically would probably be near 1200

What are the symptoms of ecu failure?
could be loads of different things depending on whats wrong with the ECU....mine was water damaged, my water pump ran all the time draining the battery, start stop didnt work, id get misfire codes, codes for missing things like water pump, injectors, o2 sensors etc.
