Minor features yet it’s an upgrade regardless playing it at 60 upscaled to 4k, it already surpassed the base ps5 version… and yes there will be more noticeable differences for future games and cross gen ps6 games on ps5 pro to base ps5.
But by that time the PS6 will be out, if it’s not taking advantage of it now and next year you’d be pretty crazy to drop 699 on it midway through its lifes

Just want to point out that the OG Performance mode is 1440p at 60fps....native 1440p with no upscaling. The OG fidelity mode is 4k native at 30fps with no upscaling. The new PS5 pro mode is 4k PSSR upscaled at 60fps (or upto 90fps with the framerate unlocked). You can play the OG 1440p Performance mode at damn near 120fps on PS5 pro if you don't mind the look of the original PS5 version.
just tell me .. coz I am absolutely confused as to what I am actually seeing. So 4:48 minute says that the regular PS5 does SW upscale more efficiently, faster than PS5 PRO does with HW using ML block ???
@gurujoe75 So the video is incorrect....the OG game modes have no upscaling whatsoever.....they are straight forward native 4k or 1440p. The PS5 Pro still has the OG Fidelity and Performance modes but also uses the new ML AI upscaling (PSSR) to run the game at 1440p upscaled to 4k using PSSR at 60fps. This new Pro mode has all the graphical fidelity features of the native 4k mode (so greater textures, better texture filtering, cleaner resolution, etc). This new mode is designed to look indiscernable from native 4k with the added benefit of being 60fps, which it does really, really well. All modes have the ability to unlock the framerate and if you don't mind 1440p you can play the game at 1440p and nearly 120fps by choosing the old Performance mode and selecting the unlock framerate option on the PS5 pro. When selecting the Pro mode with the framerate unlocked the game will run upto 90fps. So yes, the OG Performance mode runs at a higher framerate but at a lower output resolution on the PS5 pro. As a note, the visual difference between the Pro mode and the OG Performance mode is much more substantial than what you are seeing on UA-cam....the easiest way to get a sense of what PS5 pro looks like in this game is to get to visually detailed part in the game and pause the game, turn on Fidelity mode and take a screenshot and then switch to performance mode and take a screenshot....now just compare those two images and that is the most basic PS5 pro upgrade. The actual PS5 pro turns the dial up above that. It's a noticeable difference. Don't get me wrong, base PS5 looks good at 1440p and 60fps, but on a 4k display, the PSSR 4k 60fps looks immediately better. The 120fps is a nice bonus to have, but on my 65inch C4 OLED with HDR the PSSR 4k 60fps mode is a different animal but the same beast.

Demon’s Souls is another stunner, but it already looked stellar whilst running at 60 fps

the only gripe i have with this comparison is that you cant really see the difference because the video is not what you would see in real life actually looking at both tv i have the pro and its sharper less blurry runs faster sometimes alot faster depending on the game...is it a huge upgrade? no but if you have alleady an oled tv that runs at 120hz or higher it is noticable and its going to be the future anyways so your gonna get regular updates from now until ps6 comes out

Also, If you are sitting 2-3 meter of big TV - I don't think that you will see this difference between regular and PRO version)
PS5 base at fidelity mode, 120hz 40fps mode for me. Same visuals as the pro but still a smooth 40fps
Great video where you displayed clear and concise points candidly with visuals from both devices to better show the distinction between the two consoles. I got my brand new ps5 pro for £590 (I don’t need disk drive or stand) and I’ve played a couple of exclusives and they look terrific. The negative commenters are so mad 😂
For those who owned base ps5 in 2023 or later i think they can stick with that until 2026 or later if difference between the two consoles not enough for them but after 2026 games will become heavier and that 2 3 times better raytracing and pssr will make a big difference in games even in corent time games like dragon dogma 2 and dragon age veilguard in performance mode has much better picture quality on ps5 pro
The BEST THING about the PS5 Pro arrival has been searching UA-cam for comparison videos like this. 😂 Then, acknowledging that nothing has changed. But still keep searching the web for more comparison videos ...
It says PRO mode is 1440p "Upscaled" to 4K. I have 4K (2160p x 3840), 120Hz plus VRR, but "not" 1440p capability. Will I still achieve this exclusive PRO Mode?
Yeah! You just dont support 1440p gameplay on the tv!Game is upscaled to 4k automaticly!
This game looks fucking stunning on the PS5 Pro. I’d say that TLoU (1 and 2), Rift Apart, Alan Wake 2 (I’m aware that this patch needs fixing) and Forbidden West (and probably the Zero Dawn remaster, but I’m still waiting on my dumbass disc drive) have been amazing introductions to the potential of the Pro. Demon’s Souls is another stunner, but it already looked stellar whilst running at 60 fps
If the ps5 pro was the only console out and playstation said were releasing another console its called the base ps5 these are the graphics but it's half the price of the pro the base wud out sell it 100/1
I still have my ps4 pro and it still great on my LG FLAT screen... im contemplating if i should get the ps5 pro, or just get a more advanced TV and just get the standard ps5
PS5 pro performance similiar ike rtx 4060 with 16gb vram/4060 ti 16gb, I'm prefer pc for sure
@@henkymukhtar5797 a 4070 performs 25% faster than the pro tho
No its not. I suggest you watch Linus Tech Tips video called "PS5 Pro Killer" as he attempts to build a PC equivalent for the same price. He used the AMD 7800xt and it still performed worse than the PS5 Pro when you actually play a game, instead of watching numbers on a piece of paper.
PC simply is inferior, if you factor in price and game optimization.
AKA: Performance!
@@那人冷靜一點 Nope. It doesnt. When and where?
@@Hypergangnam they're not using the same settings like digital foundry did you dumba$$😂
@@Hypergangnam go watch digital foundry's videos where they tested rx6800 and a pro, under the same game visual settings the pro is 20% behind pc😂😂 and the rx6800 is $300 nowadays🤣🤣🤣
Idk why people say the Pro isnt worth give it time they are still pushing updates to PSSR then we can see more games that show a clear advantage like shown on this one
I play on a 1080p screen I really don't see much of a difference here.
Very very much better review than some " BIG " channel out there called skills up ! Maybe his channel name should called " skill issue " 😂
An image that looks 4K at double the frame rate, you can’t argue with that, may I suggest Demon Souls, another one at double the fps, nice one mate 👍
I use my Pro sinds day one and It is cleaner and sharper which is a big plus. There are a lot of haters that just spit acid because they hate the brand.
I picked up a pro the other day and plugged it into my 65-in OLED TV. I'm sat 6 ft away.
With the games that actually do benefit from the extra feature set that the pro supports, it looks blooming awesome.
If the code doesn't specifically support the new feature set on the pro, you'll only get minimal improvements.
We have not seen the best of what the pro can do yet. As long as you don't expect miracles, it's going to be pretty good.
I'm happy with my OG ps5 not paying £600-£750 to upscale some games .the difference is marginal as best and isnt worth £600-£750 plus i dont have the room to sit 12ft away from my tv to see difference
the only gripe i have with this comparison is that you cant really see the difference because the video is not what you would see in real life actually looking at both tv i have the pro and its sharper less blurry runs faster sometimes alot faster depending on the game...is it a huge upgrade? no but if you have alleady an oled tv that runs at 120hz or higher it is noticable and its going to be the future anyways so your gonna get regular updates from now until ps6 comes out
very very Very minor difference that needs to do close up at every shot to see the the thing , i play on 65inch sony tv and i have been happy, still happy with the performance of my fat ps5 , plus i have been saving money to buy a 2k high frame rate on ultra setting pc , and thats so much value for the money and performance which i will be able to play way more games than iam doing with my ps5 but still i love it and it will always be my main console
The pro pssr mode looks way better than the fidelity mode. At the end of the day it’s all up to the developers and how much effort they put in.
First , i wanna say your test is pretty good and pretty logic . Goodjob !
Second , i wanna talk about how internet/ social media ( X , yt , tiktok ) is making ppl more and more stoopid !
Dont make me wrong ! Its true ! Dont pretend like its not happening 😂
You guys had thrown all you HATE about this machine which made no sense !
Its so simple to see the diff between :
* 4K but 30fps VS Looks like 4K at 60fps !
In the end of the day , which is more important ? Your real experience on your TV or " How they render it " 😂
An important thing in case you guys did not know that FSR ( on PC ) and same here with PSSR on PS5 Pro , its quality is depend on those dev not itself .
Do you guys ever ask why FSR on Cyberpunk looks so shitty but it looks so freaking awesome in Ragnarok ?!
This world now is full filled by BIAS and that is just human basic instinct . You guys just want to hear what u wanna hear ! Not the truth .
Remind : 4K quality BUT 30fps and 4K looks like sometime even better in some good game like TLoU 2 AT 60fps . And they still saying :" Its the same " 😂
Try Star Wars Outlaws
Just got my ps5 pro i havent played the last of us so looking forward to it.
Part 1 and part 2 are actually amazing in my pro with pro mode
@@drachdelcr4702Correction: Part 1 is amazing*
Only first game is good. 2nd game is basically two angry lesbos throwing tantrums through the entire game while all the other important characters from first game get killed for absolutely no reason.
Play at your own risk.
Xdd
Had a gift card for Gamestop and sold my original ps5 from release date so it did not cost me 50 bucks. If i had to pay the full 800 plus price with disc drive and stand. I dont think i woud of udgraded. Anyway long story longer im enjoying it with last of us and BO6.
Yeah....hate to be the one to tell you...but... you'll have to add the base you sold to the pro, you got 200-300 for the base, so add what's left, 500-300=200 then the 200+800= 1,000.....so this actually cost a little over that......😂. But sure, keep telling yourself you didn't get ripped off. 😂
Guys we don't see the differences here because we're watching it on our cellphones ,pc or tv... I too didn't believe it too but when I saw it in front of my eyes when My friend got one and he have a tv with 4k with 120hz.. I saw differences... I will get one without doubt...
Update... I will never get one... My wife will smash the Pro in my head if I buy one... Maybe I'll reserve my money for ps6😢
The graphics do look better.
I personally got the ps5 pro so i can run my games at 4k i have a large 65 inch tv and 1440p just doesnt look as good compared to 4k not a big difference but i also get 60fps
Here come the idiots , "I cant see a difference " lol! Nevermind fidelity on 1 is 30 fps and the other is 60.
Sony's slave there are many videos that PS5 PRO and PS5 are Exactly the SAME .
We dont lying. We actually cant see a difference in God of war Ragnarok
Spiderman and many games .
U gave 950€ or 750$ just to have 10 FPS more and (some games) not even all, with better QUALITY. wowwwww. And some games run better on base model
Are u ok with that?
The difference is too small to notice and not good for 700
@@zerosam5541 and no disc drive
@zerosam5541 imagine to wait for the PS5 PRO for almost 4 years just to have 5-10 FPS more and on some basis even fewer than the base PS5 🤣
@Apost-ux8wm bro wtf are you smoking we have games running at 8k30 and 4k120! Minimum difference.......yeah if you close your eyes 😂
Not a fan of ps5 pro but this is good, ps5 pro will do great when gpu seems to be the bottleneck, but games are very cpu demanding so better graphics at the same fps is what to expect from ps5 pro
fidelity on ps5 looks noticeably sharper and crisp than ps5 pro fidelity.
799$ for a different upscaler is insane and if you are a previous ps5 console owner you need another 120$ dollar to play your physical games HAHAHAHAHA
No, it’s also a better CPU/GPU.
I only paid 412$ for my pro cause I traded in my ps5 so the jokes on you.
Clown
@@chasethechosenone8478lol, that ps5 is worth more than the trade in
@@FBZOMBlES True, but the CPU is not that much better. Dev are able to access 10% CPU boost but it's still the same Zen 2 CPU (shame but not a big deal, because it's efficient enough for most ps5 titles), but it's the GPU that has a major boost compared to GPU of PS5. The main focus is on the GPU and PSSR. These two things are the game changers for 60 fps gamers.

Very noticable difference. Anyone that says anything else just cant afford the pro and thats ok....
PC gaming has stutters in many new games. It's a big problem, and it can't be solved by buying 4090, 5090 and so on. I have 4080 Super and I have traversal stutters in Sifu, even it runs 300fps, but stutters are here. And many games with bad optimization can't run smooth cos of stutters.
PS5 Pro and PS5 can run game smoother without stutters
Best comment, I expent a lot with new computer and still frustated because of these stutters and shader compilation. Have playing with 60 fps and controller but for those who can play with controller and like 60 fps ps5 or xboxseriesx is muh more fun to play, no need to change graphics settings or suttering.
I have v sync problems in some games and don't know how to fix it. Supposedly my monitor have v sync support and my GPU is a 3050, should be fine. Already messed everywhere and the Nvidia software, idk why this happens.
It’s a beast and I enjoy this game so much
Rather nice upgrade in performance
I need this game on PC 😢
I hope, the pssr update improving it and in many more games.
Do The Last of Us Part 1!
Amazing graphics AAA title
the game is really optimized..if its made by unreal engine 5 i dont think the game will run smoothly
I def might play both of them over and God of War. Just to enjoy my Pro 😂
i see on ps5 pro it's little bit clean sharp yes but it's not worth to upprade i will stick until ps6
Its fidelity not Fidility foo.
I love how base ps5 does not have acess pssr 700 for small amount of improvent and sony fork version of fssr
I am not paying 700 for an extra 20 fps and brightes
So basically we got a DLSS mode for 700£
Good video ,God bless you all!
Very nice console, works like pssr native.
If you are a true gamer, you won't demand that the graphics must be perfect and wow, just enjoy the story, it will make an impression on you.
Well said... Up until now I'm playing retro games... Like those final fantasy series 7,8,9,10
Oh great now I’m really gonna see Joel die in 4k*
the graphics in the last of us 2 are very good...
ну в этой игре разница видна графика на pro лучше я про чёткости изображения
My 700 $ PS5 PRO IS LITERALLY THE BEST 😂 dont buy it you cant afford it all i can say
fake 4k. just bring the sharpness up on your tv and play the 60fps mode on the og ps5 .
Yep all the flogs thinking its native 4k lol. Wtf do they think pssr is.. well we wouldn't need Upscaling software if it was native you idiots
Do you honestly think that companies like Sony and Nvidia are heavily investing on AI upscaling technology just to produce the same results that you get for increasing your TV's sharpness?
I dont have ps5 so in this time ps5 pro by far is a better buy for me
75fps to 115=54% plus for pro😘
Pssr looks better than 4k. It’s impressive
Not just so many frames but the quality is better than base ps5 quality mode this console is a beast.
