I stopped watching talent shows like Idol after Adam's series. DIdn't see any point in them any more, they were never going to find anyone better!
@@jonnylumberjack6223 He should have won. Didn't because he's gay. That's yet another thing I love about Cher-- she was supportive of LGBT when I was a little kid, and I knew it. Spoke up when AIDS was decimating gay men when few other celebrities would. I stopped watching Idol after his season, too. Still love watching Adam's first audition, like, one verse of "Bohemian Rhapsody" before Simon cuts him off, and then, in the final two, performing with Queen. The show tried to keep a lid on his sexuality but as the weeks progressed I think they gave up-- there was no hiding it, nor should there have been. But it cost him the win. Freddie had to have been shaking his damn head that that shit was still happening. We've gotta do better than this, because it's still happening, and Freddie's neck's getting sore. So is mine. Who DID win that season of Idol anyway? Does anyone remember? I don't.
Until now, I can't understand why he didn't win the American Idol! What an incredible vocal range!

He's textbook Technique and he connects with the song so well, he hit the D5 perfectly at the end but he can hit higher notes on key! and can sustain notes with power with his almost perfect breath control, and hes got great vocal resonance,
even without a mic he could probably still be heard lol. loved it. Hope you do more of his solo stuff and with Queen :) i would recommend The show must go on Live at the O2 or I was born to love you! BTW Cher loved his version so much she allowed him to rerecord his version on spotify.

I just love it when people hear Adam sing for the first time and then are absolutely blown away by his outstanding insane vocal talent ;) In addition to that, he's got that amazing charismatic magnetism on stage and in interviews that makes you wanna hear and see even more of him. Mr Lambert has got the whole package to be an iconic world star and, in my opinion, is the best performer of our generation!
Yes, he's that good live. I saw him with Queen last summer. His voice is flawless & he sings with such passion. He's also a helluva lot of fun on the faster stuff & rock songs. I adored Freddie & I'm a lifelong Queen fan. But Brian May & Roger Taylor chose Adam to tour with them (for almost 10 years now) for good reason. He's an astounding talent.💙🌿🌿

Yes! You need to go on his UA-cam and do way more Adam discovering work! Please don’t miss his Queen+Adam Lambert Who Wants To Live Forever Live at The Isle Of Wight Festival 2016. He is stunning! Also The Show Must Go On at The O2 Arena 2018, I Was Born To Love You Live at Summer Sonic Tokyo 2014. I also love Save Me London Day 1 2015(maybe 2014?). He’s great with all the Queen rock songs too. There’s a lot of him with Queen to watch, as well as his own solo music and tours. His new album Velvet is brilliant, check out his Live Sessions from Velvet, especially Closer To You. It’s unbelievable. He is a masterful vocalist, and can sing Live like no one else I’ve ever heard. His acoustic performance of On The Moon (from Velvet) on the Late Late Show with James Corden is an amazing example of his vocal skill. There are dozens and dozens of incredible performances, I could go on and on. He’s just incredible. I believe he is the finest male vocalist alive and has been for the last 10 years, since American Idol and even before that.
"Who Wants to Live Forever" at the Isle of Wight really shows how incredible of a singer he is.

The most underrated artist today and he is just so so so great. He did this on American Idol quite a bit, took a song and changed it up and it was brilliant. He is so controversial in the Queen Fandom World but he is a class act, so kind and honest, and to see him perform with Queen, with Brian and Roger, well, that is special too. And honestly he is part of Queen’s Legacy now that is just absolutely endless. He is not Freddie, he has said nobody will replace Freddie, and he doesn’t try to be Freddie. Adam, along with the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, brought Queen music to an entire new generation. And it is a beautiful thing, their music is timeless and should be shared through generations. And Adam’s voice can sing Queen’s songs, he is quite possibly the only one who could, he has the talent, the theatrics, the stage presence, and he is just a great guy and does it with grace. Gotta check them out, so many moments of Freddie in their concerts, believe me Freddie is never forgotten. Brian and Roger choose him and to me that is enough and should be for everybody. 💗

Quite by accident I was in Kiev when Adam & Queen performed together - And I was PERFECTLY prepared to mock & ridicule his efforts.
His Vocals knocked me the fuck out!
There's no replacing Freddy, but Adam..? OWNED every last song, note etc. he belted out. And best of all, he did it His Way! (as stated, having been in Wembley back in the day I saw Fred at his most glorious) He's not Mr. Mercury - but he's not too far off, either!
Adam Lambert has an amazing voice. I've been to a lot of his concerts and he sounds great live. I remember at one of the concerts the male security guards were shocked by his voice. They had to turn around and watch the show.

I saw Queen with Adam Lambert in 2019. He really brought their songs to life. He has a wonderful voice. He didn't try to be Freddie and that made the show all the better!

Adam Lambert was born to sing. A great place to start was his iconic performance of Who Wants to Live Forever at the /isle of Wight. He performs this right after the terrible shootings at a male dance club in Miami and he brings every bit of emotion with him to this song.

So glad you finally did reaction to Adam Lambert!! Not only has he been lead singer for Queen + Adam Lambert (QAL) for almost 10 years, he's had 4 successful solo albums. The most recent, Velvet, officially came out in March this year which has a lot of funk and soul - a 70's & 80's vibe. They're all fantastic albums, truly!! Check them out, Superpower track on Velvet is really funky; you can't help but want to dance, and the music video so, so good!! He's a fantastic performer, and his live performances are mind-blowing!!

Superb! Its with excellent reason that Brian May calls Adam the GFG (Gift from God)! Check out Adam's rendition of Led Zepplin's "whole lotta love" on American idol, that was what nabbed the attention of Queen keyboardist Spike Edney who then emailed Roger Taylor and everyone else told Brian about Adam. He's been singing with Queen for 8 years and he still has these moments where he hits those stratospheric notes and Brian and Roger have these looks on their faces that are a mix of surprise and pride for him and they are grinning from ear to ear, its priceless! As others have said, Queen and Adam have released an album "live around the world" with awesome concert footage and performances from them all!

Interesting factoid: this song was released by Cher in 1998, the same year her first husband, Sono Bono (Sonny & Cher), died in a tragic accident....They always remained friends and she spoke at his funeral. I think this song was about that loss, though I could be wrong. Adam did it justice in this performance.

Please, this isn't even CLOSE to Adam Lambert's best live performance. He sang George Michael's One More Try and it was LIT and I never thought anyone could sing that song but George. I'm Queen's biggest fan and was hesitant about Adam, but DAMN he does Queen and Freddie justice, and never tries to BE Freddie, which is great, because NOBODY can be Freddie. Adam is an AMAZING singer, and I saw him live and was just blown away!!

Adam has been my favorite vocalist for 11 years now, I first watched him on American Idol as a kid and I have followed his career ever since, I am a senior in college now. That just goes to show how true talent really sticks with you. I love seeing reactions to him, it makes me wish I could go back and hear him for the first time. ❤️
You should really check out how he covered Smokey Robinsons " Tracks of my Tears !! " when he was still a contestant on American Idol , it's absolutely incredible !! Have you never heard him ? Brian May and the rest of Queen did a guest appearance and Adam performed with them . The rest is history !!

@@mstewart109 what meds have you taken by mistake? On this song Cher famously uses autotune (first time openly used in music history) and that definitely has no comparison with Lambert's live vocals. Well nothing compares to his vocals anyway.

Unbelievable performance, and even more amazing that he was able to sing it following the news of the Pulse Nightclub shooting where 49 people were murdered in Orlando, FL the night before.
