When you make the original artist cry with your rendition, you know you’ve achieved a new standard.
Adam is under appreciated , that is a fact. He should have way more accolades from the music business with his out of the world talent, and his showmanship. He can sing circles around every vocalist on the charts today. I have seen him perform live, both solo and with Queen and he ALWAYS commands the audience. And there is not a cover that he has not killed. Too many to even list.
He is under appreciated but he doesn't care. He has the backing of Roger and Brian and imo I can't think of any accolade that is better than that.
Ok, I have to say that Adam is so very NOT under appreciated. He has a massive following with both solo and Queen music. He's amazing and deserves every accolade.

I've been to Adam's gigs where he was sick with fever, once he had bronchitis, and when he stepped onstage I swear you couldn't even tell.
Ya he said on an early American Idol interview that he had been in musical theatre since he was about 10 years old and that performing onstage taught him how to sing even when you’re sick. I have no idea how he does that lol
Adam Lambert is a vocal masterclass and Can sing anything his range, mix, transitions and control of his voice is godlike hes this generations best all-around male vocalist/performer
He's textbook Technique and he connects with the songs so well, he hits those 5th octaves perfectly and can sustain with his almost perfect breath control, and hes got great vocal resonance, even without a mic he could probably still be heard lol. loved it. I got chills when he hit the D5 at the end, he spanned 2 octaves in full voice freaking insane. Hope you do more of his solo stuff and with Queen :)

@@HH-vv2sk I will watch, but it will be hard to compare, as I've seen Adam front row, and know how his voice sounds live. It's mindblowing but his voice is even better live. And he sings anything in the Queen catalog in its original key (otherworldly ability).
Best of the best, no one has ever brought out the meaning of that song like that. It was just dripping with sensitivity and emotion.

Adam Lambert is sheer genius. When I first heard his renditions of Ring of Fire and Mad World on American Idol, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Unbelievable!!! And now hearing his rendition of Believe....WOW again...genius!! His vocals are outstanding and the way he feels a song draws you in every time...it's like the world stops for those few minutes while he's singing.

I don't know a lot about music, however, Adam Lambert's voice is always so smooth and clear. No matter what he sings, rock, pop, whatever... His voice is so clear and smooth like glass. I have always thought perfection was unobtainable until I heard Adam sing this rendition of Believe. The best singer of the world by far.
With 4 albums since Idol, you have so many to get through. Different genres, and all types of levels of performance. All masterfully executed. He is the finest performer of our time with incredible vocal skills and consummate entertainment skills. His last album, Velvet, was a nod to the seventies, his parents music, representing several genres over those times. He wrote them and put his own spin on them. Sadly, Covid dashed his touring/promotion efforts for this album, and that is a shame. It is excellent. But, the hardcore fans always keep up with his music, no matter what. He is constantly evolving, so catch up and stay tuned. He is always up to something new and fascinating. The true original who walks the talk with courage and with a genuinely kind heart. 💖

The first time I heard this performance I held my breath and at the finish I gained my breath and a tear escaped my eye and all I could think was “ That was beautiful!” I was truly overwhelmed by Adam Lamberts performance.

I am a late fan, hearing this song and Adam for the first time. Oh my God, I had to find out more about this amazing incredible, man. So that was 2019 , I had lost my husband that year..., well fast forward to now and I am totally addicted to his beautiful voice, commanding performances... I am now a diehardGlambert , and will be at hic Las Vegas concerts in October! No better singer or performer in my mind.

Superb. I love this performance. His songs are incredible too. Pretty much anything he sings is amazing, because he makes it amazing, whether original or cover. And reacting to his live performances should be fun, cause he's never boring. I know this was a ballad and he stood in one spot, but like you said he commanded the space. When he is doing more upbeat songs, he'll move around and have fun with it. So, there is a lot of variety. He can sing anything.

Music awards fail to notice him because his record sales don’t top the charts. His fans might be loyal but they are not buying his music. So many just want it for free off UA-cam. That does not do anything for his chart positions or awards. Glamberts are either too out of the streaming phase of very cheap either way he’s not on the chars.
I buy his music and I also have the Queen and Adam Lambert too. Obviously I want them to listen to him but always in the back of my mind that more Glamberts should buy his music. He really does deserve awards. Amazing Man!!!

Adam Lambert has released 4 albums - For Your Entertainment, Trespassing, The Original High, Velvet. He is my favorite artist of all time. I've been a fan since he first stepped onto the American Idol stage in 2009. Adam is an extraordinaire and gifted performer/vocalist. Unlike most artists, you can't put him into a box as he can sing every genre there is.

Adam did this scaled down, rough version on American Idol also (during the Hollywood week) before the live shows. It proved he already had this ability to go the opposite direction of what you would normally expect and make it work. It's part of why he's so loved by his fans but hated by others who won't even give him a chance.
I remember how I wished they had shown him sing the entire song, it was just a snippet.
I loved his rendition of this song, stunningly gorgeous!
Adam brought everything to that song that needed to be there and moved us all (including Cher) to a new understanding of music!

I completely agree with your reaction. Lambert has set a new standard for this song. "Believe" was the only Cher song that I even considered listening to but after Lambert's showing in this performance I will forever call his the better of the two. It's not only his vocal, it also his expressions, hand and head movement and his choice of inflections as well as the strings filtering in. He's the full package. A well deserved standing ovation.
Pay attention to when the orchestra starts to kick in. Whoever did the arranging for the orchestra was brilliant. Adam always works so well with talented musicians and I would love to know how this version came about.

Adam S--I love, love your unalloyed enthusiasm for Adam Lambert's magnificent performance. I think someone who does what you are doing should first be a fan himself of the art form--and you are! Btw, I was fortunate enough to see Adam L live performing with Queen in the summer of 2019. I think it was the greatest rock concert I've ever seen--sold out arena in Atlanta--such emotion--for the late Freddie, for Adam, for the entire evening. I am a big fan of the original version by Cher. But honestly I have heard the live version and that song gave me most of the time goosebumps and was live even better then the video shows now.
And to cover that song is quite hard, but Adams version, for me, was damn on point...

I was told that this was originally how cher wanted the song to sound but either couldn't quite get it to sound that way or decided to go in a different direction. But the look on her face here looks like she appreciated Adam for doing for her.
Adam Lambert is such a polished vocalist. Hearing him sing in person is an other worldly experience. You know you are in the presence of greatest!

This was such a genuine and lovely reaction :) I'm soo happy that you appreciate Adam Lambert's limitless talent and voice, and yes, I also prefer this version of 'Believe' waaaaaaayyyyyy more that the original :D
If you'd like to check out some of Adam's original music there are basically two different 'eras' you should focus on.
The first one is right after American Idol, when he got a record label, but it was pretty strict and (as Adam later explained) he was pretty much told what to do, what to sing, what to record - so this wasn't exactly the music he would have liked to put out if he was playing by his own rules.
- BUT in my opinion, there were still amazing songs, some of my favorites are: 'Better than I know myself', 'Time for miracles', 'Runnin', 'Outlaws of love', 'For your entertainment' :) - glam rock at it's finest
After this, his album The Original High was a step in the new direction - with amazing songs like 'There I said it', 'Another lonely night', 'Evil in the night' etc - kinda 90's modern pop feels
The second 'era' would be after he left that record label and started to make music that he felt was truly his own. This is when he came out with his double sided album : Velvet - these songs feel a lot different than his old ones, and have a lot more uniqueness and creativity in my opinion. AND serious 70's vibes :D
- from this selection my favorites are 'Feel something', 'Closer to you', 'Superpower', 'Roses'

Blown away by Adams version and always have been by his voice! But something about this just brought in a new level of awe. I love your reaction and how you could really feel how this song should be. At times I could see you barely breathing! Yes Adam should have won AI hands down. You should react to him with Queen! I have seen Adam both solo and with Queen and he is out of this world. When I saw him back in 2010 in Oslo in Norway, I was at first row right up in his face. I was complete hypnotized by him. His voice, presents and aura. I have never ever tried that with other performers and I have been to a TON of concerts in my life, going back to the early 70s. He blew me away on American Idol - what a guy and what a voice. By the way, he is such a sweet person. I have met him twice and he is down to earth, smiling, hugging and just pure joy. Thanks for your video of Adams performance for Cher. I was like seeing him again on American Idol. Taking a song and make it into his own - as only Adam can.

Adam started in musical theater. He sang one of my favorite songs from Joseph & His Technicolor Dream Coat..."Close Every Door To Me". If you're a fan of musical theater, it is from that genre. Ironically, Joseph was written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber when they were both writing church music. I sang this the year it was written in 1973/74. It was later turned into the Broadway musical and jazzed up a bit. It's worth a listen to Adam singing this with the LA Touring Company of the Broadway show.

Thank you Adam. I agree Adam is such an amazing talent. Frankly, I couldn’t believe when he finished second, on AI, however, looking at his career development, it was probably the best thing. He wasn’t as obligated to AI and was able to move his career in the way he wanted to. He is fabulous with Queen, but he released a couple albums, pretty soon after Idol and I thought they were very good.😀

Superb! He also sang "I got you babe" there with Cyndi Lauper. It's with excellent reason that Brian May calls Adam the GFG (Gift from God)! In 2019 during the American branch of their Rhapsody Tour, Brian and Roger also started calling Adam their "new/slightly younger brother"! There is no arguing with that! He's been singing with Queen for 9 going on 10 years and he still has these moments where he hits those stratospheric notes and Brian and Roger have these looks on their faces that are a mix of astonishment/surprise and such love and pride for him and they are grinning from ear to ear, it's priceless! Yes, please check out more Adam! Have you seen his rendition of Led Zepplin's "Whole Lotta Love"? His rendition of love kills is so awesome (live at Iheart radio), "For your entertainment," Adam actually sang some of his solo stuff with Queen on Tour like "Whataya want from me", "Lucy" accompanied by Brian May, "Ghost town" live, etc. He also guest appeared on the show Glee, his rendition of Lady Gaga's "Marry the night" is spectacular!

(The spinechilling chord change under the syllable stand in understand in the first line a hint of things to come! When Paul suggested it apparently John said weve just written our first American no 1 hit!) That Adam Lambert vocal is the greatest thing ever! Wow! He is as good as Whitney.... wish he would get better songs for himself. He sounds as good low and soft as he does high and loud. Rare! And I've decided not to give up on love after listening to his interpretation! And he's almost as pretty as Elvis who takes the prize for best vocal of all time American Trilogy with the London Philharmonic. Makes me drizz (South Afican slang for cry! ) every time! I have loved Adam Lambert since Idol, and just loved the way he burst out of there with "Let Me Entertain You", which was very dramatic and campy, and sent his Idol demographic scurrying away in horror. I had seen him front for Queen, but this performance, and his performance of "Girl Crush" with Leona Lewis have popped up (to my eye, anyway) fairly recently. Thanks Adam. Anything live from his velvet album. I love that album. The concerts at the Roxy he did at the beginning of the year were really good too. Best day so far this year watching them. (Yes I was naughty spending money I didn’t have to watch them both live). Demo version of original high and hearing a loaded smile live again.....wicked.....and velvet live....
