What makes this video useless is the lack of followup. Every de-thatching video on youtube shows the process. No one ever shows how it looks one or two months later.
What I would do if I had this much thatch is core aerate the bejeesus out of that and top dress with compost then come back through with humic acid and biochar and molasses and some alfalfa. I would also release some worms to do some work. I might even come back through and core it again, keep applying molasses and some microbe packs to any usually dried spots. KBG can be undercriticized in this regard. With warm season grasses they can tolerate a scalping and you really never build up this mat of thatch. Rizomes can also be brutal this way if there is not heavy management through coring and top dressing to restore some soil content.

Did it work?
I put my third application down last week and my fourth will go down on the 16th. I feel like they are all making some progress but each section still has a ways to go. Ill be pulling cores on the 16th also to compare progress visually, hope you check that vid out when its released.
