Happy February! Maybe you can block your daughter’s cable jumper before lengthening the sleeves maybe the sleeves will grow enough or you will have enough extra yarn after all.
I love your podcast so very much. Your lightness and humor are very appreciated. Just a thought on the bobble issue...what about threading a needle with some yarn and creating the singular bobble using your sewing needle instead of a knitting needle...same method...then weave in the ends and tweak the bobble if needed.
For nearly three months I am searching for a jumper I saw on a woman in Norway. Thanks to you I found the shop that sells it (sadly no pattern). I have to draw it up and make my own pattern. Thank you
I am making a coziest memories blanket. I am very addicted to making the squares. The corners don't join together 100% perfectly but I don't think anybody will get close enough to see.
Oh, Sarah....I love your videos! You are beautiful, smart and funny! Love love the pillow! Love the brown and black together! It will be a wonderful sweater! Just love everything you do! Gives me much inspiration! ♥️
Another great episode from Sarah - love your podcast!! The pillow is simply beautiful and I’m sure it will be put to good use. I love your dress and I may get back to my sewing sometime in the future. Your daughter’s sweater is exceptional - so much detailed work. Looking forward to Friday! ❤
Hi Sarah! My mother was a seamstress. She was a perfectionist. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t see. I hate sewing on a machine!! She always wanted to teach me. We made it through enough lessons that I can sew basics if I have to. I’ve always felt I was from the covered wagon era. I prefer to sew by hand. Your dress is very nice!! The plaid lines are straight. Again, I think you are too critical of yourself. You have made so many sweaters! This one is one of my favorites! I was thinking that if there was an occasion where you wanted to hold it shut, you could use a belt. I’m so sorry. I’m only 3:46 into this taping and already had to pause to comment.
The colors of your dress are excellent on you. Take it from a blue lover here!! Also why not add a thin lining skirt to your dress so it’s not so see-through. And your English is excellent, you’re very clear and even colorful! Your sense of humor comes through! 😅
Lovely video! Peruvian highland wool does pill (somehow manageable with depilling). Also, you do well to lengthen the sleeves. The sweater will grow with blocking BUT the yarn will shrink significantly afterwards with wear and friction. The sleeves on my eclair sweater knit in HPW reached the middle of my hand; now they barely reach my wrist.
Yes, Nøstepinne 😁 The umbrella is right, also called a swift. There is another design with moveable pegs in arms, also a swift, but not umbrella style 😁 Your wound ball is awesome for a first try! You can wind when it’s attached to a project, but still continue to pull from the inside, just start with the strand coming from the project 😁👍🏻
Love your episodes! With my hinterland dress, I used pleats instead of gathers as I don’t like gathers on my figure. Also, with your daughter’s sleeves, maybe you could shorten the length of the rib so you get more length with the yarn you have.
Just a great podcast yet again and I never get tired of your posts, your projects and your fun nature. I think the word you are looking for when you say something has substance is not that it's STEADY but it's STURDY. (maybe you are saying sturdy but it's just your accent if so, I'm sorry.) I'm with you about carnivals, I'm not the dress-up-in-silly-things person and I don't drink so I'd be happy to sit at home while the rest of the family went to the carnival - quiet time to knit without them. hahahahaha
Hi Sarah, I would have loved to see you do your February everyday vlogs again this year. For someone who lives out in the middle of nowhere and doesn’t drive you boost my spirits immensely! But I will enjoy whatever you give us. Thank you. 🥰🌸🌷🌻🌹
Your dress look great! I am also sewer. I would suggest that you don’t ever buy cheap thread. It is what holds all that fabric together😂! The folds are called pleats (sounds like pleet.) That sweater is spectacular!🎉🎉 wish you would have put it on!
Always a lovely episode and I look forward to my Monday afternoon knitting & coffee with you❣ Your daughter’s sweater is amazing….remember you will gain some space with blocking.
Hallo Sarah! Beautiful video and garments and thanks for the uplift. I live in Namibia and afrikaans is almost Dutch so I do understand you and love the way you explain yourself. It is also hartwarming to have a friend on the internet who loves knitting as much as I do. Enjoy every stitch❤
The jumper for your daughter is beautiful 😍. I’m from Australia and we call the seam ripper a “quick unpick” because you can quickly unpick (cut) the threads. Have a wonderful week 🧶
Sarah, your hinterland dress is beautiful! Many congratulations on the progress you are making with your sewing skills! You are doing great!!😊 The cabled sweater you are making your daughter is inspiring me to knit an all over cabled garment! I look forward to your wonderful podcasts....thank you!! ❤
Your pillow came out so nice! And that's a great idea for good back support, I think I'm stalling it 🥰. Also, your daughter’s sweater is stunning and is going on my list. Thank you for all your episodes. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
I love your podcasts. You always leave me with a smile. Your dress is wonderful. Don't point out errors or mistakes in your work. No one else will notice them. Good job in being determined to sew well. Your Knitting is already perfection! I love the mitered square pillow. Stay happy!
Isn't it amazing how all the knitting projects that came before can lead to new crafting adventures (eg a zipper in a cardigan for yourself). It's wonderful how you want to keep learning and growing.
Hi Sarah! The folds are called pleats. Your dress is beautiful. Your sewing skills are great!
Happy February! Maybe you can block your daughter’s cable jumper before lengthening the sleeves maybe the sleeves will grow enough or you will have enough extra yarn after all.
The dress is lovely as is the cable jumper for your daughter. 🇬🇧

I love your authenticity. Thank you for being so honest about your journey to slay your 7-headed dragon 😍
I am making a coziest memories blanket. I am very addicted to making the squares. The corners don't join together 100% perfectly but I don't think anybody will get close enough to see.
I just realized it's February again! If I may, I believe I'll watch all your daily February episodes again this year! Thank you!
Your humour is so funny Sarah! You make me laugh 😅
Your dress is beautiful ❤❤
The implement you bought to wind yarn is a nostipine, apologies if it is spelled incorrectly.
Oh, Sarah....I love your videos! You are beautiful, smart and funny! Love love the pillow! Love the brown and black together! It will be a wonderful sweater! Just love everything you do!
Gives me much inspiration! ♥️
My favourite hour of the week at the moment. ❤❤❤

Yay! You "love to sew!" Congratulations on finally growing into confidence with it. 😃 The yarn winder stick thingie is called a Nostepinne.
Your dress is beautiful
You making me want to make a dress
And your lovely dress 😊 Excellent

Lovely episode.. everything you shared was just beautiful.. I feel very inspired by all your crafty makings. 😊

Folds at regular intervals = pleats. I’d call yours more “gathers” 😁 Looks fab anyway 🤩

We call it a stitch unpicker here in the UK. At least that's what my mum always called it. Your dress looks beautiful, by the way.
Love your episodes! With my hinterland dress, I used pleats instead of gathers as I don’t like gathers on my figure. Also, with your daughter’s sleeves, maybe you could shorten the length of the rib so you get more length with the yarn you have.
I just smile when I see a new podcast from Sarah. “It’s a Sarah!!” 🎉❤
LOL I feel the same about my ugly plastic yarn winder! 😳

If you wanted to wear your dress bare legged, you could make a simple linen slip or half slip to wear underneath. Love your crafty adventures!

Kutovakika's patterns are all beautiful ❤ I have crocheted a jumper from that yarn Peruvian Highland Wool, it was very lovely yarn to work with ❤
I love your dress.

Thank you Sarah, as always a very pleasurable pod to watch. You are so genuine and natural
Always nice to see you Sarah. The thing for handwinding the wool is called a Nostepinne. 🤎🤎🤎

Oh you’re going to want a cabled sweater of your own and you will probably want to knit cables again. They are very addicting ❤

Kate from the Last Homely House podcast says “get out of our heads and into our hands.” 😂😂😂

Ps...to your colorwork choice. .you work for wear and not camera optical sensitivity. Well chosen, the black!
I always look forward when you come on every Monday. You are a delight to me. And I get beautiful ideas❤❤❤

🥰Sarah loves to sew!❤
Oh nice..a new episode..look foward to watching while I knit..😊 Beating the dragon..yep sums up my sewing skills! 😁
So many fun moments from the seam ripper to the pullover. Love the salty days sweater. It's on my list.
Your dress is beautiful .
❤❤❤
Just a thought, maybe you could see a small trim ( like ribbon) over the thread that did not take the dye?
They are in English pleats or folds.
Corrected, Nostepinne
What‘s the Song at the end of your podcast called? Thank you very much ❤
Bare arms and legs is right 👍🏻😁
Lower back or lumbar area
pleat
