DUDE, never thought id be able to master my own tracks and literally just finished getting something i made to a product im actually happy with! thankyou for sharing showing this information with us, really quick and easy to understand, i am BUZZING
@@futur_sunds at this point I’m trying to see what educational route I can take to basically be certified to work on post production mastering/mixing for film and television. Starting small by learning to master the music I make for fun is going to help I think in the long run. Super happy to find a logic video and it’s all stock plugins, because really you should be able to master with stock
YOU ARE a Godsend. I am self taught audio recorder, and you just taught me the key to making my recordings come alive! I've been using Logic Pro for years, but I never even knew about a master track. I know, how basic that is. You learn something every day. Thank you sir!
I can't express the gratitude and appreciativeness of your skill and profession. I am just beginning to use Logix Pro X and you helped me through your instruction understand it a LOT more than I did before. Thank you!
I love the tip to mix all songs from an album, then bounce and master the whole album at one time. Tried it both ways and the difference is night and day.
Jake Sklodowski Not at exact same time. But to wait til all songs are mixed and then master the whole album, song by song, after mixing the record. For cohesion. No way to master separate songs at the same time.
Hi thank you for sharing .. im just starting out in logic and all the advice I can get is good. Respect to all who contribute to teaching others . Opinions on style and techniques are all welcome for me. Thank you for this
@@TheBirdHouse Thanks so much. Can you please clarify for dummy, ME? I have 19 songs that will be on my CD. I bring them all to one 19-track mastering session, and do the process explained in this video for each track separately... the purpose of having them altogether in one session is solely to hear them side by side then. You don't actually apply anything to all 19 tracks at once, correct? Thanks again!
What a great video. You get five starts from me. Extremely clear, direct, and informative without getting unnecessarily complicated. I'm a Logic beginner trying to grasp all these concepts. I've looked at a lot of UA-cam videos about mixing and mastering and you really get top marks from me. I really love the way you demonstrate how to use the plug-ins. But the real test is the final result. Your track sounds excellent. Very inspiring. Thanks!
Thanks for this! It is a brilliant checklist, and made my life as a happy amateur recorder way easier. Also: Extra thumbs up for using Logics "in-house" plugins. Makes it more accessible for those of us who does not yet own all the plugins in the world...
You my kind sir are doing the lord's work!! Oh my goodness!! I just MASTERED MY VERY FIRST TRACK FELLOW PRODUCERS!! WOW!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!
Dude, you're actually a legend. I learned a lot from this, and mastering has gone from a black art to something I actually have some concept of. I'm going to remaster some of my early home-recordings (which were mostly mixed in Audacity and not even mastered), to see if I can breathe new life into them.
You saved my song! thank you so much, I've been working on this for days and was getting frustrated about the mixing going back to it everyday but if you know how to master, it makes the biggest difference ever. its finally done (:
I love your videos, just by watching them I pick up so many little tricks and tips, but you don't take forever explaining them, you just say things like "click here and delete this plugin", etc., and you show us how to do it while getting on with the rest of it. Tons of great info here, thanks a lot.
Enjoyed the hands on demonstration with minimal talking. That's the best way to go. Terrific job, and thank you for being so clear and straightforward! It was great, too, seeing how mastering works without a third party app and also without a reference track.
im just starting and tNice tutorials video was perfect.Well explained and easy to follow for a beginner.I never understood soft soft till i watched tNice tutorials.
Amazing video! I am an absolute beginner to the mastering process and I tried an online class that was just confusing and expensive. I learned so much in the short time with your way of teaching. I appreciate that you show every single step at an easy to follow pace and explain why you are doing it! I’ll look into your course! Thank you!
I just wanted to say Tomas George you are the man thanks A MILLION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU helped me single handed helped me Master my project Thanks if you are ever in Cleveland catch up with me!!!!!!
As someone whos very new to the mastering part of music creation, this helped a ton. As Paul was butthurt by your video, I found it very helpful to get my feet wet, understand the plug-ins used to master, and learn what they do. I hardly find tutorials that are this useful so, thank you sir!
Once you have the discipline to work with original commercial reference tracks, mastering your own stuff might work out but most times it doesn't. Having someone else hear your stuff with fresh ears and with a reference directive of your choice, in my view, is the better option. ....and yes, it may cost but it will be worth it.
Hey Tomas I'm starting to get into mastering my own tracks so thanks for the tutorial video. Your videos are always so easy to follow along and learn from! Thanks!
thank you for your help, mastering my second track ever using this video was LOADS easier than my first one just stumbling around a bunch of different youtube mastering videos. much appreciated.
I'm using this as research for my final project in college (I'm producing one of my tacks). Whilst I haven't started anything yet this video made me a lot more confident about reaching the aims I set for myself so thanks!
Thanks for a really great video Tomas. You've really helped me to start to get to grips with a subject I've been struggling to find my way into for a while now. Really grateful to you.
You just added a whole new level to my mix, by step by step process. A basic walk through on this dark art. Great video, I'll keep watching others by you. Thanks!!!
Great video, one of the best I’ve seen using any type of DAW. Zooming in on locations and explaining everything in a smooth process!!! Keep em coming my guy!!
Excellent video !! So easy to follow ! And I learned how to do more in depth mastering in about half hour !! All I did was follow you closely on your video, made a few changes/adjustments based on the track I had - and boom !! A mastered song !! I could probably start a song mastering company now !! Thanks !!
I rarely use a multimeter for anything, but for some reason, it did work for this particular pop track I was working on. I watched you to get some ideas on how to space my track out. Luckily, I understand how thresh, ratio, etc. because I would've been lost! You didn't really explain it too well [empathetically, I imagined being in college for the first time and hearing you explain this, would've confused me] I get your concept, but it is kind of... dry, because truthfully, there was nothing done to 'make the song sound better' you added an exciter at 5.9kHz, just to add a multimeter, which runs off into the highs at 7.9kHz, that you also boosted at 5.9kHz. Suggestion. I know this is a 'Stock Plugins' video, and you did a decent job, but look into a spectrum enhancer. This way you won't need to 'excite' one frequency, you can knock out the whole spectrum of the song and use m/s; this may save you at least 2 plug-ins.
DUDE, never thought id be able to master my own tracks and literally just finished getting something i made to a product im actually happy with! thankyou for sharing showing this information with us, really quick and easy to understand, i am BUZZING
I mean ive still got a long way to go but this has given me some good improsation to keep pushing
Glad you decided to take the time and learn instead of seeing it as something for a professional to do. That’s all to common these day.

The Bird House how do you master every song at once, they’re all separate song/files for me.
