You are really the only person on UA-cam who can explain all subjects with incredible details. I thought I knew everything about this verb until I watched these four Piacere videos of you. But there is only one thing that confuses me, and that is that you change what you write while telling more. It'd be easier to understand if you write them by adding instead of changing. :) As you erase, our amateur minds get confused which one was right and which one was wrong. :))) Grazie mille, Manu!
22:58-23:07 no apology from you is necessary. Those of us watching you are definitely here because we WANT to be. It’s the best alternative to not having you to teach us in person for longer! 🤗 As always, ti ringrazio per la lezione. ❤️
Manu you are incredible!!!!!! I speak spanish so it is easier to me but you are such an excellent teacher…. Thanks I am so grateful for all your explanations. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Grazie mille Manu! I have been over using “anch’io” and I will start practice saying “anche a me”.... I always learn things every time you speak! Che meraviglia!
I am a beginner student of italian at the university of Oslo, Norway. Thank you so much for all those marvellous videos! They are such a great resource! I am so grateful and will of course share my knowledge of your existence to anyone interested.
Thank you for this incredible lesson! It's been sooo helpful. I tired to simplify how to approach answering a "piacere" statement and want to be sure I'm correct. Does this seem correct? "Anche a me" is for agreement w/ a positive statement. "Neanche a me" is for agreement with a negative statement. "A me invece si" is for disagreement with a negative statement. Tante grazie! "A me invece no" disagreement with a positive statement.
QVD Italia is an excellent suggestion for passive listening, Manu! Grazie mille! Only thing is, there's some German guy on and even though he does speak Italian, his accent is hard to understand. It's easier to understand the announcers!
Hi! There are 4 lessons and 4 practice (so there are 8 videos) in Piacere Masterclass Playlist : ua-cam.com/play/PLUcDBadaP5IUjOaM0mJpcy84HsXxSAB7a.html - Italy Made Easy Staff -
Don't be afraid to talk. Making mistakes is part of the process of learning. What matters is that you are understood. Just go for it. You'll learn a lot from it.
I think an easy way to think of it, is that you're giving an OPINION rather than just a simple preference. After all, opinion always implies that there are other opinions, too. Even though you aren't using the Italian word for 'opinion', it seems to have the same function. Right? So, "Mi piace..." is simply "I like...", whereas "A me piace..." is like saying "in my opinion, this is nice".
This is kind of funny because, in brazilian portuguese, my mother language, we can express the verb "piacere" in exactly the same way spanish, french and italian speakers do. But we can also express it just like americans do, because we have a verb that have the same meaning as "to like", which is "gostar". To sum up, we can say that in the "latin way", since portuguese is a latin language just like spanish, italian, french and so on..., or, we can say it in a more american way, since we have the verb "to like" in portuguese. Here's some example: these two setences mean the same thing. 1-Eu gosto de estudar italiano( I like to study italian). 2-Me agrada estudar italiano( Mi piace studiare l'italiano).
@@italymadeeasy It's like they say: That way, I'm killing two birds with one stone, right?🤭 I'm glad we use the both way to express it in portuguese now hahaha. By the way, it's been only one week since "Io ho deciso di imparare l'italiano" and I've been learning a lot because of you! thanks for helping me with it! keep being this amazing teacher you are!
at 14:00 you have "a lei", and describe it as "do you..." however I would think with the small L in lei, it means "does she like Fellini films.." not you. E guisto?

Grazie per i lezioni e comprendo migliori come usare piacere
Le lezioni ti aiutano a comprendere meglio come usare la parola piacere? Molto bene! 🥰
Thank you for this. I have said anch'io before and no one ever corrected me so I didn't know that it was wrong.
grazie Manu! uso i suoi video qualche volta nelle mie classi d'italiano. Domanda: farai un capitolo quinto sul piacere nel passato!? ; )
Mi piace questo serie da "Piacere"!!!
QVD Italia is an excellent suggestion for passive listening, Manu! Grazie mille! Only thing is, there's some German guy on and even though he does speak Italian, his accent is hard to understand. It's easier to understand the announcers!
Thanks alot
Mi piace tua canale 💋sei molto molto bravo
E molto ultile! I could never understand why people don't say, for example, 'Piacete.' But this makes total sense. Grazie mille!
Grazie Xander!
Does all of this apply to a phrase like mi interessa also? It's the same type of construction isn't it?
What are the cases where you use A me and Mi in a sentence at the same time. Thanks!
Come si dice, "They like me." or "They like you." Wonderful lessons! Meravigliosi!
Hi Jackie I find the Reverso Context that Manu suggested really helpful for contextual translations.
?i can't find lesson number 5, can i get a link pls

I am one of your fans who really needs to understand stuff Manu, but sometimes it prevents me from speaking because I always want to get it right!

Buonissima lezione, Manu. Ho una domada: si può usare al contrario? ie. A me, al contrario, si.
Grazie . Un abbracione
Yes, italian is flexible with this stuff

2 solutions: perfect 😉

Due piccioni con una fava, in italian 😉
So what do esso, essa, essi and esse mean?
at 14:00 you have "a lei", and describe it as "do you..." however I would think with the small L in lei, it means "does she like Fellini films.." not you. E guisto?
Question! If someone says “Non parlo Cinese” and you want to say “us neither,” would you say “neanche noi” ? Grazie mille Manu :)
Esatto! 😀 Brava
But "Us neither" is incorrect in English. :) You'd say "Neither do we." You can say "ME neither", but "Us neither" is wrong.
What happens if the subject of piacere is first or second person - "He likes us". Is it "Noi gli piacciamo"? Or I like you - "Tu mi piaci"?
Esatto!! Bravo Richard! "Gli piacciamo" e "Mi piaci" 👍 😊
How can I say it (piacere) in the past? Non mi è piaccuto??? (I didn't like it?)
Esatto, Misael Galindo, puoi dire : non mi è piaciuto (attention to past participle of Piacere, it`s Piaciuto) un abbraccio!
Doesn’t matter what you ask me...Nope not gonna like it🤣
