I had this problem with my cam sensor. It did stop working and the car wouldn't start after it got warm, and when i finally figured it out it ended up being a pretty easy, simple and cheap fix

Do you have hitachi Pn for the other cam sensor? I can’t find the metal one.
just bought 4 camshaft sensors since i have the 06 model but i didn’t buy a crankshaft. do those need to be swapped together or for that code you got? or am i good with just the crankshaft sensors
You should be OK with the camshaft sensors only, but you will need to replace the crankshaft sensor eventually!
The throttle response on my z is really slow, both tcs and slip lights came on. I have no reader, can it be the cam sensors?
Your local auto parts store will scan your vehicle for free. Do this first and let me know what codes appear!
Should i replace these cam sensors..i own my z for almost a year now ..not sure if the previous owner ever did..i have no codes or any issues yet...so should i wait for a issues to happen or change it for a peace of mind?
You can wait for now, the previous owner may have already changed them out. How many miles does your z have right now?
168,000 still runs like a champion
i scanned my Z and i thought the camshaft code would appear but it didn’t. what should i do because i don’t know any other reason why it won’t turn on other than jumpstarting it?
Will it run after being jump started? And what other symptoms is your Z giving you?
@@Zspeedit does run after being jump started but it stalls out very easy and once it does, it won’t turn on again unless i jump start it.
@@Zspeedsometimes if I just turn it off and try to turn it on again it simply just won’t start and i have to jump it again
You should go ahead and change out both your camshaft and crankshaft position sensors.
