Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

It’s always that one line “I’m in breaking bad and you’re not”
bravo vince
I cried when Lyle said that
The interior decorator 😂
Its so sad the characters that die in this never get to watch Breaking Bad.
I love how when all of this is going down Walter is probably grading chemistry exam papers.
As a mass grows in his lungs
As his son eats breakfast
you love it huh?
As Skyler getting knocked up
@@dangerousko11 I love that.😂
Just imagine Lalo survived Better Call Saul, he would've eliminated every main character of that universe. Walter and Jesse wouldn't survive their first week cooking
The Salamancas have no way of getting product over the border, he probably would've used Walter like how the Skinheads used Jessie
Walt and Jesse were too useful for Lalo to kill. If Gus kept them alive then so would Lalo.
Lalo wouldn't have killed them, he wouldn't have to. The reason they had such problems with Tuco was because he was a druggie and a psychopath...too erratic and violent to deal with long term. Lalo, on the other hand, has the mind of the leader of a criminal empire...not to mention the skill and patience of a calculated hitman.
No, Walter and Jessie would have been his bitches for a long time...and likely willingly.
heisenberg too smart for lalo
@@JWlittlereddIf that happened, Walt would do to the Cartel what he did to Krazy 8 and Emilio. However, a potential meetup between Lalo and Walter would have been epic. Lalo may not underestimate Walter like others did. Walter would have to find another way to overcome Lalo.
Somehow this scene is so intense despite knowing that Gus was gonna win anyway.
Lalo was so dangerous we all thought he was gonna erase the breaking bad universe
@@Oooooooo797well, with that quote of Gus "with you the Salamancas will disappeare" to Hector we knew that somehow Lalo was going to die, the question was how and when
Exactly!!
@@nicolasdiez7688 I was joking ofc we knew he was dying
Its called good writing and direction. Something the world desperately needs in entertainment.
bro imagine if they had facetime back then? This would be over so quick.
😂😂😂😂
Bro I just made a similar comment only to see someone already did lol
Breaking Bad would still happen, Walt and Jesse would just have to keep cooking out of a motorhome. Gus would be hiding out in Africa somewhere.
Actually, Don Eladio would just see dollar signs from this. In a shocking twist he’d probably just let Gus run it the way he was planning lol but all that money goes back south.
😂😂
Finally they got an actor whose first language is Spanish to play a character whose first language is Spanish.
Which one? The guy born in Texas or the other one born in Denmark 😂?
@@Whereiscovid texas, famous for never having had been mexico or anywhere near it 😂
Just like Oberyn Martell, Lalo played with his food.
Good link there
Damn i never even thought of it like that. Funny how both Oberyn and Lalo showed up in the 4th season of their respective shows, and became fan favourites for their flamboyant charisma.
Actually no, Gus is under the protection of Don Eladio , If not Salamancas wouldve killed him a long time ago. they need evidence thus the video
@@asahel980 He still let Gus go on and on ranting about how he hates the bosses of the cartel. As soon as lalo got footage of the lab room he could have shot Gus
1:50 “Whoops, sorry about that.”
Lalo put fear in Gus and Saul. Would've love to see Gus and Saul in a conversation talking about Lalo
Tbf putting fear into Saul isn't really a challenge
@seb17702 True, but I think Lalo traumatized him the most he didn't even want to talk about him when Jesse mentioned his name
@@seb17702putting fear into saul is easy for short term but in this case that fear lasted 4 years
Lalo was the main villain in bcs he’s the main villain in Saul and Gus eyes that tells you how much presence Lalo commanded
The immovable object meets the unstoppable force.
Normally unstoppable force wins, unless Gus is the unstoppable force
@@Soulful_Sorrow Since Gus is on the defensive for most of the story line I'd say he's the immovable object
@@epicfan1598 since gus won, I'd say he's both
@@idkidk503Yeah because he had plot armor. Basically invincible given how he shows up in BrBa
@@jeffpenus9201 nah he was smarter and had literal body armor
Jorge De Guzman the vlogger
underrated comment
Ding !
Ding...Ding...Ding !
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding ! !
If only Waltuh and Jesse met Lalo instead of Tuco they'd be toast
Nah they"'ll just go to Mexico and work for the cartel that's it
If ever that were to happen, Walter and Jesse would still probably get into trouble. Worse is they'll be facing both the Salamancas and Don Eladio

This scene was so suspenseful and awesome to see, especially the shootout between Gus and Lalo that its one of my favorites
1:50 "why real time cutscenes are superior"
Things that are "chingón" for Lalo: Nacho and the lab
This is probably what Vince Gilligan was referring to when he said the end of Better Call Saul will satisfy fans more than the end of Breaking Bad. Lalo Salamanca is black comedy gold & the noir aesthetic is impeccable, how it ultimately plays out is beyond satisfying.
Lalo saying that he had a bathtub that opened like the idustrial washing machine is probably a reference to El Chapos secret bathtub entrance to one of his escape tunnels.
I believe they show it in the episode where the assassins go to his house.
@themanwithnoname639 that's it. I wasn't sure if it was in a previous episode or not. you are absolutely right. I totally forgot.
if BCS would have been made first im sure the writers would not have killed Lalo.... he may not be the best... but is my fav character in this universe!!
Perfect description on this video
good thing he was wearing plot armor
04:10
Is this on script? 😂
I'm a simple woman. I see Lalo, I click.
so many lesbians I know are obsessed with lalo lmao
This is the moment Lalo Salamanca became a vlogger
Bravo Vince
"Too bad they don't make armor for your head"
What did Lalo mean by this? Obviously helmets exist. So he must have meant it metaphorically, saying that there was no armor for your "head", meaning he was insulting Gus's intelligence and implying he was more intelligent than him. Vravo Bince.
Imagine gangsters walking around with helmets on their heads...noo suspicion there
helmets won't stop bullets, they're designed to stop the shrapnels
@@aboutblank2270
They're designed to stop rifle shrapnel so there's a decent chance they'll deflect a 9mm round.
@@richardplinkett4956
Even if you had some sore of ballistic helmet, there is a high likelihood that you would still suffer severe injuries to your skull either from fracture or just the brute force of a bullet hitting the helmet.
@@richardplinkett4956 No they're not and no there isn't
El videoblog mortal de Lalo Salamanca
Props for swapping out Gus' actor for his stunt double during that continuous camcorder shot
2:35 “i had a bathtub that did this” just realised hes talking about the underground escape system in his mansion in mexico lol
Flynn enjoying his breakfast
I think this episode was the most reactionary and best episode in the series(6x8)
1:51 this reminds me of when the twins shot the arms dealer in the chest to see if the armour plates actually worked
This is one of those moments where i wanted both sides to win, but we all knew how this was gonna go down and it wasn't gonna be Lalo walking out alive.
Lalo was twenty years too late to the streaming game, he would have made a great vlogger!
Not long til Gus vs Lalo then some of the amazing scenes from Fun and Games are uploaded
Jump forward this scene a couple years and he could be streaming the video, eladio would have seen everything despite lalo's death
Lalo is the first IRL UA-camr.
Why does the lab during mid construction look like the vault building dlc in fallout 4
"Like I was saying" Was pretty funny actually
4:11
Just imagine lalo had a iphone with tiktok installed, broadcasting live with eladio
I was worried BTS would ruin the BB legacy but after the very first episode I needn’t have worried. Vince Gilligan and his team operate at such a high level it was always going to be brilliant.
Lolll
Y HE DO DIS!?
Top 10 Villian of all time...
Silly gus, you didn't need body armor with the plot armor you already had
Is better call saul a prequal or a sequal to breaking bad or just one in the same tv show?
Prequel. But half of the last season is a sequel.
Don’t worry Lalo didn’t die he survived he changed his name to jack Duquesne moved to New York and met hawkeye
All that happened before Better Call Saul.
Just like Nacho became MacGargan and was taken down by Spider-Man
LALO SALAMANCA IS ALIVE
Lalo just another NPC who paid too much attention to his selfies
When will villains learn to just kill the person and not play around with them 😬
I doubt there will ever be another series/franchise/universe with better characters than this.
💯 Agree!!!
Correct ✅
Nahhh they cut the best part of the scene
I never understood why Gus was hiding the new lab.
Naah i just want all the lalo recordings
He was my favourite character. It felt so bad to know that he were going to die at some point.
Gus would instantly get exposed had this taken place in 2024. Lalo would go LIVE instead of recording and cartel would be aware of Guses intentions
it's amazing how dumb Lalo looks in this scene, his arrogance finally got the best of him.
Hes a Salamanca. They all have a bloodlust
Should have went insta live 😂
The way they did Lalo’s death was so disappointing.
Fr
Inch by inch, tou now americans make this show, none mexican would ever use imperial system measures, centímetro por centímetros
If video calling existed Gus would be somewhere in africa right now hiding
Thirteenth attempt of asking for los pollos harmanos scenes big compilation to watch while eating kfc 🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓
hi
I thought Gus escaping by cutting the power was so badly written and performed. Both characters deserved better.
Was he supposed to dodge bullets or quick draw Lalo with some hidden gun? How would you do better exactly?
@@MysteriousTomJenkins I've no idea, vince gilligan has the experience to come up with something better than the way it panned out.
