Idea: You could do something called Fleet Friday or something, where on Fridays you can release a video that includes a look around all the apparatus for the stations. It could be a twice a month thing you guys do, for example: 2nd Friday of May you look around Station 42's apparatus or something! Great video ya'll, I have a huge amount of respect for you guys, keep up the great work!
As a firefighter getting to hear the radio traffic Is great for seeing how large departments handle large multi dwelling fires. Thank you for the great videos.
Thanks Eric and Connor 👏👏this has been very informative and interesting. Seeing the actual action on scene is interesting. I think it's quite a coincidence that there were two fires at the same property , I thought the information on all the apparatus and fire calls in relation to the firefighters health and well-being is also quite interesting and very informative as well😎👍.
METCOM video please! Definitely one of the best comm centers in the US! Also video about speciality teams at south metro. Great channel and awesome content!
Love the videos you have and put on here the SAFD had a fire a few days ago because i'm a San Antonio firefighter and we see a lot of bad things in a apartment complex fire it was a bad fire and had about 30 units on scene including SAPD.
im out here in Florida about to do my Fire, EMT, and Paramedic, but I am thinking of moving out there, I just want a new taste, I am an explorer as well, do y'all have them over there?
At around the 3:24 or 3:25 mark, I received the answer to a question I had, does South Metro have “Auto-Dispatch Mutual Aid Responses” on incidents. I would have loved to have heard what the second alarm assignment was to this incident, just to see how it sounded. I have dispatched a few second alarms over the years, but I never worked with the “voice” doing the talking for me.
Hey love the. Vlogs, I’m a probationary/Cadet firefighter in my hometown in Alberta Canada. I don’t know everything but I can tell you in Canada we inspect fires differently than you guys. To me and what I learned while on my 10-01 those fires look suspicious. I don’t think it’s arson I actually believe it’s in the construction and design of these apartments. I attended a fire just like this and later on it was discovered that there were unprotected wires next to heat ducts in the ceiling. By no means am I questioning your investigates it’s just a thought
South Metro Fire Rescue PIO that makes sense. That also sucks. Isn’t there a code in the NFPA where if any modifications to the area it also needs to be up to code? I can’t name it off the top of my head but I’ll definitely look
That is crazy and correct... and something most people don't understand - just because your mailing address says Denver, doesn't mean you live IN Denver. Just as Columbine High School is not IN Littleton as it is described. Glendale is another odd one - completely surrounded by Denver but is in Arapahoe County and Cherry Creek Schools.
They actually looked Luke the old style globe version either way it wouldn't matter as the snow would cover both sets of globes it's not the light itself that is the problem it's actually the light frame and globe cover that was the problem being iced up seen it before so I am sure that was the situation mate
I have the pulse point app and I noticed that on one of the house fire calls you guys just recently had that there was a couple of people on that call that said bureau 5 and bureau 3 and I was wonder what their job was
It is part of Station 12's history coming from Littleton. They are known as the "Pirates of Broadway" and Ladder 12 is affectionately named "The Black Pearl".
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO - In the early 70's I was a ACSD deputy (Sheriff's Posse) and lived on Bridger Ct., very close to what is now South Metro Station 12 (then Littleton Station 2). I frequently visited the firefighters there and became friends with several of them. One of my favorite memories is when we got a childbirth call about midnight from an apartment near Broadway and Littleton Blvd. We got there quickly and on our arrival "rescued" a rookie Littleton cop who was holding a newborn and was as white as could be. We thought he was about to pass out. He asked the lady if he could use the phone, called his wife and woke her up and said "Honey, guess what I just did!" LOL. My how things have changed since I moved away back in 1986! Great video! Well done!
You two are doing a Great job informing and educating the public who know very little of what we do, GREAT JOB , KEEP IT UP !!!

It's one place I would gladly move >1,000 miles in order to work for! It sounds like a top-notch place!
Thank you for sharing South Metro fire procedures.
Great job guys! What a big worker wow.
That building manager must be pulling their hair out with the displacement of residents from now TWO buildings. Good luck to all of those involved
I wouldn’t wanna live in those apartments after 2 fires in less than a year.
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO it is kind of odd.
Looking forward to the fleet vlogs. Keep up the great work!!
I'm so glad you save people from fires

Loved the power call!

How do the crew members view the PIO’s?
How did that fire start if the chimney was on the other side was it some form of electrical faults

The LED bulbs put off no heat to melt the snow. Someone needs to invent a heater for the lights on snow days.
They already have... and most if not all LED street lights have them equipped.
@@CancerousContentProductionsLLC They don't have heaters in our area, but we don't need them but maybe once every three or four years.
really good South Metro Fire Rescue PIO what thing fire house people help them good job people men and Lady
let me guess those stoplights were led

Thats what I thought but I really wasn't sure. Thank you for answering my question
Do you as PIOs do ride alongs or does the fire department do them like police do?
Need traffic lights with heat elements.
