I just started following you guys. I'm a 48 year old white man who's served in the military since I was 18 years old. I'm currently a First Sergeant in a field artillery unit as a reservist and I'm a police chief in the civilian world. I've served in Afghanistan and Iraq and lived with white, black, hispanic, gay, straight......you name it! Whether or not someone thinks you are a racist depends on what you say and what you do. Own your own behavior. Which apparently is the enjoyment of shocking people. My parents never talked about racism and discrimination with us as if we were responsible for the behavior of particular white people. That is with both my parents experiencing the ignorance of racism and exclusion themselves growing up in Texas. We learned how to treat anyone of any color or race or faith by their example. Which was not tainted by their childhood experiences at all.

That woman came from NOTHING - I mean, absolute rock bottom - and pulled herself up by the bootstraps, as a young single mom of two, and ended her teaching career at Vanderbilt when some snot nosed ignorant kids pushed her out because she was too conservative for them.
No one pushed her out of Vanderbilt. The university took her side against the students. She retired of her own accord. She also called on George W Bush to apologize to African Americans for the institution of slavery, to “remove the scab of racism” from the Republican Party.

The north was largely Republican abolistionist, and the south was largely Democrat (slave-owning states.) Both parties literally split over the issue of segregation and civil rights and rejoined. People who believed in civil rights and equality became Democrat across the north. and people who wanted segregation became Republican, largely in the south. Today's Republican leadership is 99 percent white and actively trying to limit the black vote. FACT The Party of Lincoln" is just a PR phrase to try to win back some black votes. However they do seem to target black Americans and I see a lot of brainwashed people who refuse to even try to learn history outside of what a school is allowed to teach them. I was born in the early 1950's and I have the memories of the 60's and the integration, and Johnson and others that kept the black community from living freely. They broke down the family unit, brought in drugs and still kept them confined by using the welfare system. Nothing is free, not even welfare. Welfare was not a hand up, it wasn't even a hand out. Welfare was used to keep the black community in their place and keep them as one politician said, "useful idiots". I am a Norwegian and I knew this as a teenager 50 years ago, my father told told me a lot about historical events that were important to learn and the American history was one of the most interesting because of everything going on in the country, I never understood why the majority of people of color vote for the Democratic Party since the party was racist, were members of the KKK, supported slavery Jim Crow laws, segregation and everything negative in the American society back then and today in other ways.

That woman came from NOTHING - I mean, absolute rock bottom - and pulled herself up by the bootstraps, as a young single mom of two, and ended her teaching career at Vanderbilt when some snot nosed ignorant kids pushed her out because she was too conservative for them.
No one pushed her out of Vanderbilt. The university took her side against the students. She retired of her own accord.

People who believed in civil rights and equality became Democrat across the north. and people who wanted segregation became Republican, largely in the south.

I feel like they keep everyone down, not just black Americans. However they do seem to target black Americans and I see a lot of brainwashed people who refuse to even try to learn history outside of what a school is allowed to teach them. I was born in the early 1950's and I have the memories of the 60's and the integration, and Johnson and others that kept the black community from living freely. They broke down the family unit, brought in drugs and still kept them confined by using the welfare system. Nothing is free, not even welfare. Welfare was not a hand up, it wasn't even a hand out. Welfare was used to keep the black community in their place and keep them as one politician said, "useful idiots". As much as I hate to play devil's advocate here, that is probably not the chief lesson to take. It's to NEVER make the mistake of trusting media and blindly voting as directed. Your vote is the most powerful thing you have as an american, and for decades we've neglected to teach people civics and ensure their involvement in perhaps the most important thing we can do as a citizen.
Pay attention and KNOW what you're voting for. Do not be distracted by labels like republican or democrat. You think I'd vote for Romney, McCain, or McConnel? I'd sooner see them tarred, feathered, and paraded through the streets! Just because I have yet to find a democrat I'd vote for doesn't mean I immediately vote for their opposition.

I am from Maryland. When I learned all this history & watched the race bating from the Dems it made me sick. I am 65 yrs old now. I try to vote for good policy & by the bible. I had the same look on my face when I learned THE Facts. I now vote with my knowledge & not my feelings. I have allowed the democrats to keep me pissed off far to long. Malcolm X also said, "if you vote Democrat, you are a trader to your race!". I didn't understand it when I first heard it, but after many years of making observation of people when Trump was president until now. Todays Democrat Party is not the same party of 100-200 years ago. Republican policies today suck for anybody not super rich. It’s as simple as that. That’s why they have a tough time winning elections. Americans see right through them

I am a Norwegian and I knew this as a teenager 50 years ago, my father told told me a lot about historical events that were important to learn
and the American history was one of the most interesting because of everything going on in the country, I never understood why the majority of people of color vote for the Democratic Party
since the party was racist, were members of the KKK, supported slavery Jim Crow laws, segregation and everything negative in the American society back then and today in other ways.

The short answer is they don't really teach history...and haven't for years. Several years ago a neighbors grand-daughter shocked me when she couldn't do a simply multiplication...7 x 11. She didn't know how to do it...she didn't know her multiplication tables. Seems nowadays they teach how to be a victim, CRT and CGT.

One because it was a white family that helped him once he got their and two he realized that whole republicans may be wolves they do not try to hide it. I am white and was raised democrat, but after going to court for custody for one of my kids, i started looking into politics and finding that I lean more to the republican side. Now i am blown away as I learn about the history of the democrats and republicans. Wow.
Gents, I appreciate your efforts to learn the truth about history and our country. One young man made a comment that "it wasn't too long ago that these things happened (e.g., the Civil Rights Act of the 1960s) - yet how can people not know the truth?". This shows two things that are in conflict with each other: 1) The corruption of media (who is controlled by radical liberal socialists and the Democrats - who want to control all Americans regardless of color or ethnicity), and 2) The power of the internet to find the truth (if people don't waste their time searching the internet for nonsense/BS). Again, I commend you all for searching for the truth - God bless gentlemen....

@@jp2586 Christian abolitionist's were the ones mainly responsible for ending slavery and many in the Republican party were Libertarians who couldn't abide the South seceding from the nation, they considered it theft of part of the National patrimony that belonged to all Americans. The Democrats of today are indeed more of what they think is progressive though destroying norms and traditions just to destroy norms and traditions seems more regressive to me.

This type of information needs to go out on other platforms as well.
They need to go viral, many of those of voting age will never see or hear about this unless it shows up on their phones.
It is an unfortunate reality, but many young people do not ever find this type of content unless they search for it.
