I'm tired of the Adirondack region not seeing any support from our Governor. The city just sees it as an asset that rich folks vacation to. Public education districts in the Adirondack region got a sizable budget cut because of her actions funding money for swimming pools. I wish New York had a border running horizontally through the state right below Syracuse or something.

This old vet has amazing respect for you young men. I have been watching you for the last several years and just love how you take the things which you have learned through educating yourself and actually applying it to your life and how you walk in it. So many will just go on the attack and not reflect on who they are and what applies and what doesn't. How you perceive what you see is very important in growth. Being an old white vet that has long hair and loves to have it braided, I have been questioned on cultural appropriation. In which I smiled at the young black man who questioned me and asked him how can you live in white European style house, drive a vehicle which was originally created by white western / European man living in the USA. Wear clothing designed around white western/European culture, walk up to me speaking a form of white European English( which was the only language he spoke) and want to discuss my cultural appropriation of braids, when my ancestors are German and French, which has been wearing braids going back thousands of years. No they didn't get the idea of braids by visiting Africa back then, in fact, they didn't even know the continent of Africa even existed back then. This idea of cultural appropriation doesn't even make sense on either side of the table. When you spend so much time on things like I mentioned above, all the effort and energy is just waisted on false narratives made to separate, with ideologies that have no basis of fact.
Gentleman I've been here since those days of music reactions. I'm proud to say I've seen you young men grow. You are very thoughtful men and when you struggle with a subject you do watch several sides of it which I also do. They get angry because something you've said has put a hole in their belief. @@Hismana-oi4yx I don't speak for all white folks but it's my guess that most of them don't feel responsible for something that happened over 150 years ago of which they had absolutely nothing to do with. If the roles were reversed, you might possibly feel the same. You don't hear white people demanding to be paid for the 100's of thousands of white lives that were lost fighting for the abolishment of slavery.

I'm White, but my vet and dermatologist are Black, as well as have been some past medical specialists. I chose them because they are the best, not because of their color. As a therapist, I counted on my female Black counterpart because she was the most knowledgeable, not because she was Black or a woman. I don't want to fly on a plane that is piloted by a diversity hire. I want the best, not the barely trained or good enough. I want the best and most experienced. When my very life is on the line, I can't let my race, ideology, friendship, or even family influence my choices. Guess this guy never heard Biden say " If you don't vote for me, you ain't Black". Who is putting a Black face on the party?

This old vet has amazing respect for you young men. I have been watching you for the last several years and just love how you take the things which you have learned through educating yourself and actually applying it to your life and how you walk in it. So many will just go on the attack and not reflect on who they are and what applies and what doesn't. How you perceive what you see is very important in growth. Being an old white vet that has long hair and loves to have it braided, I have been questioned on cultural appropriation. In which I smiled at the young black man who questioned me and asked him how can you live in white European style house, drive a vehicle which was originally created by white western / European man living in the USA. Wear clothing designed around white western/European culture, walk up to me speaking a form of white European English( which was the only language he spoke) and want to discuss my cultural appropriation of braids, when my ancestors are German and French, which has been wearing braids going back thousands of years. No they didn't get the idea of braids by visiting Africa back then, in fact, they didn't even know the continent of Africa even existed back then. This idea of cultural appropriation doesn't even make sense on either side of the table. When you spend so much time on things like I mentioned above, all the effort and energy is just waisted on false narratives made to separate, with ideologies that have no basis of fact.
Gentleman I've been here since those days of music reactions. I'm proud to say I've seen you young men grow. You are very thoughtful men and when you struggle with a subject you do watch several sides of it which I also do. They get angry because something you've said has put a hole in their belief. And they get scared it invokes their fight or flight response. Because they don't want to be proven wrong. That means your opening eyes so keep doing it
