I think it has something to do with the fact that this was recorded in February of 2021. In case you hadn't heard or don't remember that far back, there was a global pandemic going on.
The day this was recorded, something like 3,000 people were dying every day in the United States.
If you never heard about it until now, don't sweat it. You didn't miss anything.
