Okay this might be strange, but any chance your name is Sean? I remember a Sean from the old DD forums who lost his wife. He was a kind person and we all grieved when he broke this horrible news. You will meet her again!
I am 53 and my son is 21. I have made sure to pass down my love of Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, the Cure, the Smiths, David Bowie, the Clash, and countless other epic artists to him…it’s our duty as parents
My Sister passed away a few days ago at the age of 53 from cancer . She was a massive Duran Duran fan ever since we are kids . This music will always remind me of her and us growing up
It’s a terrible, awful song. It’s like Bryan Adams’ Everything I Do (I Do It For You), a 90s slow ballad that’s stuck in the 80s and can’t adapt. There is literally no difference between the two.
(My personal top 10 Duran Duran songs) #10: Girls on film #9: Is There Something I Should Know #8: Planet Earth #7: The Reflex #6: The Chauffeur #5: A Matter of Feeling #4: Hungry Like the Wolf #3: Rio #2: Ordinary World HM: Come Undone, Careless Memories, Notorious, Hold Back the Rain and My Own Way #1: SAVE A PRAYER

Thanks for the playlist. So many great hits and memories. We all have our personal favourites and there's some amazing material to choose from. Save a Prayer, Ordinary World, Come Undone, Rio, Reflex, Is There Anyone Out There ... it goes on. Just grateful I lived through this music.

Man, those exotic locale videos from the Rio album really bring back memories of waiting for MTV to play a Duran video in the early 80's...when a Duran video came on, everyone in the room stopped what they were doing to watch...glad to have been a teenager back then and happy that Duran Duran was there to make it special! :D
Those videos were shot in my country in 1982. I could not believe I only found out a few days ago. I found new love for Save A Prayer, Hungry Like a Wolf and Lonely In Your Nightmare, haha. I'm glad the videos brought back memories, and Its so nice to hear the comments by you, and watchmojo as well. Even if Sri Lanka didn't amount to much in international pop music this is quite huge :P.
I remember watching these videos when I was a kid. I lived in the middle of boring cornfields in the middle of wisconsin at the time. Their videos gave me a chance to see really neat exotic locations that I probably would never see in my life. It was such a joy to see one of their videos on tv.
Rajith, absolutely...I am sure that there are many more people out in the world that know about Sri Lanka's fame as the location for the best Duran videos. I remember learning about Sri Lanka as a 13 year old because Duran Duran shot their beautiful videos there. :)
Wolfen, oh yeah, I can imagine how wonderful that must have been, as a kid in the cornfields of Wisconsin! For me it was being a kid in the overcast rainy dreariness of Seattle! ;)
I love Duran Duran. I would've put a couple of album tracks on there, but all in all that's a pretty good list. My favorite DD song is 'Last Chance on the Stairway'.
I have loved Duran Duran ever since I can remember. Their music is outstanding, they have excellent, beautiful voices and the men are so handsome it isn't even funny. They look like princes in a fairy tale book. I wish I knew them personally. I'm sure every young woman in the world would love to have one of the Duran Duran guys as a boyfriend or husband.
Josh Hales ditto that! They started right at their best. And then, it just got too big to hold it together. But they were a great band - still are - but they have not topped those two albums yet.
Not one of their best songs but the best ever song alongside COME UNDONE I was 7 or 8 years when that song came out although my introduction to them was “hungry like a wolf”
I didn’t expect Save a Prayer to place so high. That’s my favorite Duran Duran song and for a while was my favorite song of all. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it.
H8erade9 Especially since it was an evolution of their music, not just in reducing the synth-pop, but in emotionally charged lyrics. It should have made the top 3.

Wow. Top 10 plus honorable mentions and no sign of 'Is There Something I Should Know?'? That song had as much to do with establishing them as rock stars as any other single tune.
Yeah, it's a tough one. Back then it was so rare for a song to debut at number one.. but I wouldn't place it in their top 10 songs. My fave DD song is New Moon On Monday and it didn't get a mention either
First heard of them in 1982 when I was 14. Became a fan and have been ever since. Saw the original band play in concert twice. Great show. LeBon is 61 now and is aging well.
Great list, Duran Duran for life!;) loved them as a kid, and still a fan now. As a kid I loved the sound, the exotic locales, adventures, costumes, and all the pretty girls, some of the videos were like mini movies, what great memories. Thanks WatchMojo;)
Oh and if you just so happen to so cool as to be a fan of both Anime and Duran Duran, then treat yourself to this very cool Anime intro: "Speed Grapher op Girls on Film" it's so freakin' cool, but unfortunately it's only in the Japanese Version, enjoy;)
Awesome Duran Duran, I love them sonce 1980 when I first listen to them , I was a teenager. In 1985, I remember, they had a kind of experimental group called Arcadia, it was really good as well. DD is great; Hungry Like the Wolf, Union of the Snake, New Moon on Monday, Planet Earth, Wild Boys, Girls on Film, A View to a Kill, some of their best songs.
My Personal Top Duran Duran: 1. Ordinary World 2. New Moon On Monday 3. Come Undone 4. Falling Angel (It was a Crime to leave It off The Wedding Album) 5. The Reflex 6. Union Of The Snake 7. Of Crime And Passion 8. Rio 9. New Religion 10. My Own Way Honorific Mentions: Notorious, Hungry Like A Wolf, Girls In Film, Breath After Breath
Hmm, I thought "Is There Something I Should Know?" would have at least got an honorable mention; you called #1 right with "Hungry Like The Wolf", which is still one of my all-time favorite tunes...
Duran Duran a terrific pop band, with memorable tunes that I recall my childhood-teen years. Top alternative tunes from the 90's list and/or top New Wave tunes of the 80's if you ain't them done already!
Come Undone at #9 is unjustly way underrated. #1 on my list. Lyrically brilliant, and beautifully mixed. Ordinary World also needs to be much higher. Those two, along with Hungry Like The Wolf are their best three songs imo.

Cool video! Duran Duran is one of my absolute favourite bands of all time and always will be! Also despite different opinions on rankings, I think that they were good choices.
I love Duran Duran. Their music really reminds me of the more.....artsy, decadent scene of the 80's. Listening to their music makes me think of being in LA or Miami, in an ultra-modern house or condo overlooking the ocean, with white walls, white carpets, and black furniture, surrounded by very beautiful and sleek mysterious women who always look as if they just took a shower or came out of a pool. If anyone is familiar with the artist Patrick Nagel, you'll understand the type of woman I'm talking about. In fact, one of Nagel's women was on the cover of the Rio album.
“Artsy decadent” was my experience in the 80s. It was an amazing place in time. I was blessed with so many outrageous things. The music is legendary. Need I say more? X
I DON'T agree. But here's my Top 12 from their recent live concert here in Las Vegas. 12: Universe/Save a Prayer 11: Anyone Out There 10: Planet Earth/ Space Oddity by Bowie 9: Last Night in the City 8: The Reflex 7: Rio 6: Wild Boys 5: Come Undone 4: Ordinary World 3: New Moon on Monday 2: Hungry Like The Wolf -This got me started listing to Duran Duran. 1: A View to a Kill Agree?
TOP 10 (in no order): Girls on Film Skin Trade Reflex Last Chance on the Stairway Careless Memories Rio Hungry Like the Wolf Hold Back the Rain Planet Earth My Own Way
Probably one of Watch Mojo's best top 10 compilation lists ever. There really aren't many of the songs listed that i could argue with on this occasion.👍🤝👏
10. Girls on film 9. New moon on Monday 8. My own way 7. Is there something I should know? 6. Wild boys 5. Notorious 4. Hold me 3. Save a prayer 2. Hungry like the wolf 1. Rio
All Duran Duran songs are great, but the best in my mind were 2 album fillers on Rio. Just listen to the great writing of the songs 'Last chance on the stairway' and 'lonely in your nightmare'. Truly best Duran Duran.
Electric Barbarella Is There Something I Should Know Careless Memories Should be also mentioned Wild Boys is overrated at #6 while Planet Earth is underrated at #10
silebon Yeah, Wild Boys shouldn't even be on here. Musically rote, and strained singing by Simon. Clearly a list made by people who barely know DD at all.
figured what the #1 would be before even watching. sorely overlooked tracks are: "(Vertigo) Do the Demolition", "Do You Believe in Shame?" and "Careless Memories".
Hold Back the Rain is my favorite. It has the fast pace “running” sound of Hungry like the Wolf, enhanced by a rocking guitar, raindrop-sounding synth and the haunted, echo yelping of Simon Le Bon. We’ll have to wait till a movie or commercial grabs it before it becomes popular, cause it truly is an overlooked jam.
Planet Earth is my favourite, because this was my introduction to the band & I was the only one at school who liked them back in the New Romantics days, before they became huge, I was a massive fan but when Roger and Andy left the band wasn’t the same for me anymore, and I’d started to listen to different bands by then, but I always have a soft spot for them because it brings back memories of my youth.
Congratulations to Duran Duran for being inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame 2022. So well deserved.
Long overdue.
My wife loved Duran Duran. I listen to them now and think of her. I miss you every day, Kim. Until we meet again. Love always and forever.
You shouldn’t have killed her

Hungry Like the Wolf
Hold Back the Rain
Planet Earth
My Own Way
Probably one of Watch Mojo's best top 10 compilation lists ever.
There really aren't many of the songs listed that i could argue with on this occasion.👍🤝👏
Save a prayer is my favorite :)
From their vast catalogue of great songs, I think we can all agree, it's too limiting to choose just a 'Top 10'!
10. Girls on film
9. New moon on Monday
8. My own way
7. Is there something I should know?
6. Wild boys
5. Notorious
4. Hold me
3. Save a prayer
2. Hungry like the wolf
1. Rio
Love them still.
The reflex, Friends of mine, Planet earth and careless memories are my favourites.
Mi respeto y admiración por DURAN DURAN y excelentes vídeo musicales . Sin lugar a duda de la mejor música.
All Duran Duran songs are great, but the best in my mind were 2 album fillers on Rio. Just listen to the great writing of the songs 'Last chance on the stairway' and 'lonely in your nightmare'. Truly best Duran Duran.
Last Chance on the stairway... and it's xylophone solo!
Going to see them live this Wednesday! So excited. Hubbys birthday present. Must say he made an excellent choice this year ❤
Electric Barbarella
Is There Something I Should Know
Careless Memories
Should be also mentioned
Wild Boys is overrated at #6 while Planet Earth is underrated at #10
Careless memories is a heart breaker
silebon Yeah, Wild Boys shouldn't even be on here. Musically rote, and strained singing by Simon. Clearly a list made by people who barely know DD at all.
Well, its simply should be top 20, too many nice songs even above 20👍
I love you Duran Duran
No mention that the hit version of The Reflex was remixed by Nile Rogers.
I know, right? Good thing they told us how long some songs were... Jesus. Put a little effort into it.
Duran Duran hizo mi 2020 increíble en tiempos de lluvia y salia el sol🌿🌦️
Ordinary World is one of my all time favorite songs. But I also love "New Moon on Monday"
Same here
Great band can’t wait to see them Live in Vegas this September!
Come Undone #9? What the hell? By far their best song.
Yeah would have been higher for me.
I dont even wanna see it now that I read that...Come Undone ont of the greatest songs ever of any genre
Shadup, thicko. :p
come undone is my number 1 song , 2 is hungry like a wolf and 3 is view to kill, 4 ordinary world
Of Plagues nah it ain't
Come Undone is my fav Hungry Like A wolf and Save a Prayer. Great music love love .
You guys forgot "Is there something i should know?" and "new moon on monday"
not that they forgot, its just there is alot of really good duran duran songs
right thats what im saying
Fantastic songs, wonderful and great group. DURAN DURAN
New Religion/New Moon on Monday/The Chauffer.
Save A Prayer is my all time favorite.
figured what the #1 would be before even watching. sorely overlooked tracks are: "(Vertigo) Do the Demolition", "Do You Believe in Shame?" and "Careless Memories".
How many of us 80's kids were singing along? :)
You dont need to be 80's kids to know these legendary songs and be able to sing along :)
I saw these guys live when i was 12! I'm now 14 and I still love them!
FarfalleAlfredo 🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋
i went to there concrete in 2007 we were still singing along they still do a terrific concert
New Moon on Monday
I'm a huge Duranie! I don't agree with the list, but having said that I'm just happy they are being talked about. 💖
My fav, Girls on Film. But, good list. Hungry like the Wolf . . . well, it's hard to argue with that pick for 1.
Adore this band . Save a prayer 🔥 my fave
I would have included Hold Back the Rain - abolute class. However, can't argue about No 1. Ax
