    I today's episode I show off how to make hand carved metal beads with only a few simple tools. The beard beads in this video are inspired by viking pole carvings and made to put a decorative end on a viking style hair braids! Using solid brass rod, I drill the rod and carve a viking face using a foredom and metal polisher. Check out some of my other viking inspired builds like the metal viking comb!

    The braids look good! Better when you leave some beard behind them. The thing with braids though is the longer your beard gets the better they'll be since braiding shortens it up so much and a short braid looks funny. A trick for getting the hair through the bead is to take some string, wrap it around the hair once so there's a loop, then feed the ends of the string through the bead and pull the hair through.

      @@gprock7222 without seeing or knowing more it's hard to say but most likely there's not enough hair going through the bead. You need to have enough in it to fill it and apply enough resistance to sliding.

      I don’t sell these. Belt line beard??? Amazing!! I used little clear hair elastics to tie off the braids and then I pulled the bead down tight over the elastic.

    Really cool! Question - how do you keep the beads in place? By just threading them on and leaving them, surely when you swing your head around they'd whip off and smash someone in the face? OK if that's their purpose, but seems a waste of effort ... ! 😊😊
