Strop Suggestion: Use a thin piece of leather on the wood. That prevents the edge from crushing (pushing) into the leather which then creates a more rounded edge. A thin piece stays "flatter" (no crushing) and gives a better edge.
You can see the edge dip into the leather when you strop it.
That has to be the most creative, inspired and unnecessary thing that I’ve ever wanted so bad to make!
Between drawbridge and dark horse you guys have not only taught me new skill but you've kept my sanity through covid
Where is this guy. I just realized this was his last video
I don’t smoke and I hardly ever use a small lighter but this is so cool I want people in my life that do smoke to have one!
I ended up buying the template. It is great quality and simple to do.
I did veer off some a bit by adding a second piece of leather in the middle and cutting out the center of the two middle pieces. I got two large flat fishing jigs, cut the hook off and put them in the cavity in the handle. Lastly I did not cut the dip in the handle to expose the lighter. I ran it all the way back to enclose the weights.
Final result is a pair of weighted leather knuckle dusters. Fun little project
Would love to see pics. Tag me at @drawbridgeprops if you have any pasted on social media.
Hi! I couldn’t find the template on Etsy. Could you share me the direct link please? Thank you!
Need vent holes for the lighter to work. That's what the holes on the metal cage are for.
You can use a circle cutter to cut out the holes like a olfa circle cutter.
I am sooooooo making this for my friend!
haha, need one of these with my Schott 613. Nice job.
This is sssooooo cool!
If you've got a friend like Ricky from Trailer Park Boys, this would make an excellent gift ;p
Awsome!

Yes, the isolation hawe not realy affected the life on the farm and forest much.
I purchased this pattern off of antsy and failed so many times to get it right because of the holes. I wish I could watch this video first and just bought the gasket maker. Thank you for the instructions
Hello, i've been thinking about getting into this type of thing. What do you recommend when it comes down to learning how to handle the machines and overall. Moreover, where do you recommend a beginner to start
Very nice lighter case ! Coolest one I've seen yet . Will definitely make theses can I get that pattern from you? Reddoc leathers...
Can't access the blueprints on Etsy :(
The song at 4:00 sounds like Victor's solo from corpse bride

Hello, Im ccoming late to the party i guess. I just watched the video, it was awesome. How do i get a copt of your pattern? I went to your Etsy shop and it was not there. Thanks and best of luck.
I just checked out your Etsy store.I don't see the weights on there.
I’ve been sold out for quite a while. When I finish setting up my new shop I will build some more.
I'm a little surprised that this is legal in Canada, even made of leather.
Just dont use it as a weapon and you're fine.
The second you use it in a fight its automatically assault with a weapon.
But owning a leather item that looks like brass knuckles but actually serves another function(ie lighter case) is totally legal in Canada
Ha can you ad the flames to the pdf 😉?
The pdf downloads have the flames on them on both Etsy and www.drawbridgeprops.com. Where did you see them without the flames ?
