Yep. Been using vinegaroon for years. It's great stuff. I'll also add. Even with that grey look you can make it super black just by oiling the leather a little.
You clearly know your stuff, but looks like far too much work. I was just trying to age a watch strap. I’ll probably just end up buying one that’s already been “distressed.”

What if you want a light Grey
Awsome as always! Thank You for sharing!
can you water it down and get a lighter gray? may try this on a pair of shoes I have been trying to dye gray.
I have a jar of that for aging wooden items. I guess I need to start doing it with leather.
That's a nice short tutorial! Any plans for your next armor?
I was thinking about doing some game of thrones armor. :)
@@DrawbridgeProps Sounds good, the Lannister helmet was magnificent
Could this color be done to a wallet? Does the steel woolale the color black? Let me know thanks
Yes. The steel is what makes the black colour.
Can you control how light or how dark you want the grey to be with this method?
Would I be able to do this on already dyed black leather?
Test a small area.
I want to dye my leather jacket Is vinegaroon safe for leather jacket?
Does the leather already have a finish on it ? Vinegaroon on is for unfinished leather only.
@@DrawbridgeProps yes its has finished polish on it but it's 2 years old
