lol! You pick the one thing not on my list! I love pofferjes so much, too. But I see them as a festival and market food which is why I didn't mention them since to get them on a normal day you may have to go to a restaurant who over-charges. I'm sure they are in another video of ours somewhere 😄 Thanks for watching!
@@aWanderlustForLife haha yeah I know, my favourite poffertjes actually were the ones in Cafe De Prins, they serve them with maple syrup there...! Van Stapele was my first thought when I saw the title of this video as I take all my visiting friends over there.
When you say regular baked cheesecake I have to laugh because I grew up with the no bake ones and the only baked one was the New York baked cheesecake.
The cycling rules: you must cycle. Basically, cycle everywhere unless its typically a tiled pavement or busy road for cars. Red, typically narrow lanes are cycling lanes. They are recognizable, but not red 100% of the time. Though its not restricted to these lanes only. Blue/black broader ones for cars. On motorways, sometimes there are white lines with a cycling sign on them. A section for cycling. If its clearly not too much of a motorway and there are no other ways to cycle by red lanes, you just imagine this section. Also for cyclists, you get to rig everything (solely try on own risk or do not). Or it has already been rigged for you. Basically you get everywhere here by bike. "Terrorize" the footh path and mind them, which is very well possible instead of riding on motorways that don't seem right. To know where to cycle, probably most important: talk to people about it at any (right) opportunity. And take it slow while cycling, or even very very slow, as the majority here is a cycling artist, having done so from youth.
To the Dutch people in the comments do you have sultanas as well as raisins? In Australia sultanas are smaller than raisins, and that apple pie/tart looked like it had sultanas in it, which is what we would use here.
Which sweet treat would you like to try most?
Key Lime Pie Cheesecake!
definitely the cheescake and sweet bob
Thank you so much for the reviews I cannot wait to check some of these places out!

This is great way to discover Amsterdam, thanks guys another great video!

I love poffertjes! Thanks for showing all these cool places, my sweet tooth will be satisfied for a while now :-)

I hope you do! We just went to Polaberry again this weekend...still lekker ;)
Macaroons are hugely popular here in lots of flavours - yours looked and sounded yummy, particularly the gin one.
Thank you for doing this when I travel I always like to check out the sweet spots. I have a serious sweet 🦷
I knew there had to be some fellow sweet-tooths out there 😉 I'm so glad it was helpful!
The glaze on appeltaart is mostly just wisked eggs on dough. But recipies vary from baker to baker.
Dat is onzin.

Do a bread tour for something different
Interesting thought! Would you be searching for a bread tour? I want to try and make videos people are interested in watching, and searching for.
I’d like to hear your partner’s thoughts on the tastes of each of the items as well.
He doesn't like to be on camera 😔 Only Patreons really get to see him since we do a livestream every other month and he joins me for that 😊

Stop speaking so fast and you also mumble .
This was filmed over a year ago, so I like to think I've gotten better...but I'm only human and learn and grow with the process.
@@aWanderlustForLife Speak clearly and slowly, project and don't mumble, one word at at time .
