I loved all of the dutch food, especially bitterballen, harring, kibbling, stamppot, and raw beef sandwiches. Glad you guys enjoyed it!
Claire has a unique giggle that radiates positive vibes!
Very refreshing You Tube Vlog! I am enjoying the tours and you really go into detail on the food which makes us seem like we are there with you!!! Thank you!! Look forward to your videos!!!
This was so fun to learn about Dutch food! Thanks for sharing with us!
That all looks delicious! Especially that Appeltaart and Stroopwafel 😍😍
It was! You guys would love them!
Oh wow can't wait to follow in yall's footsteps soon!! Everything looked soo unique and yummy!
Yes!! Safe travels on your epic adventures over the next few months!
For people with a budget visiting Amsterdam,, visit a local market and you will get a fresh caramel syrup waffel just as good for like 2-4 euros. And for that same price you can also go to a local supermarket and buy a package of 10 which you can heat up in a microwave for 10 sec if you want it warm !
Love love watching your vlogs , you guys made me want to come back to Amsterdam . Looking forward to your next one. Take care 😘
Thanks for watching! Hope you have a great next trip to Amsterdam!
Great video, I love Amsterdam and haven't been there for many years. The food looked delicious. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! 😊
We Wisconsinites are busy cutting grass and prettying up our shrubs and flowers...but i have to save then watch Chad and Claire's adventures because you guys are so good. This was no exception....never been to Amsterdam but feel like I have just toured it with you. The food!!! We cook/bake so many dishes similar to dutch cuisine....so much shared heritage with germans here. On, up and forward! 🖐 ❤ 😊
Great job and I love your content and congrats on reaching 50 country goal🎉🎉🎉 and I’m looking forward to your 100 country goal and then hopefully your 195 country goal ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, but we have not yet reached our 50 country goal! Still got 24 countries to go! :D
Stops everything to look up a recipe for Snert because I love pea soup but the addition of celery & leek sounds divine 😋✨!! Also, I have some Dutch heritage from my mom's side 😄so will be fun to try some recipes related to my ancestors ☺!
That's so cool!! Ahh i am really craving some Snert right now 😂
Great video 😋
The name of the tree you saw near by Nemo science Museum is in Dutch: ruwe iep. In English it's called: mountain elm or wych elm. The chips you saw on the ground are the seeds.
I’ve been a huge fan of you guys since the van life days-love your videos always. Going to Amsterdam in a month and I’m stoked after watching this. If you’re ever in NYC, I owe you a drink!
Thanks for following along since the start! It really means a lot. Safe travels to Amsterdam and we are definitely visiting NYC sometime soon! 🤭 But no drink required hehe
I had a trip booked to Amsterdam in spring 2019 & then the pandemic happened & I never got to go. A few years later I decided to go to Sweden & Denmark. But after watching this, I am extremely motivated to book a trip to Amsterdam! The food looks amazing. Great content. I’m a fan!
Oh wow! Sweden and Denmark sounds like a great trip as well, but you should totally visit Amsterdam!!
It was nice to see you both enjoying a less busier city! Looked like you both had a wonderful time 😊
Thanks for noticing! We did have a great time in the city and cant wait to visit again!
As a Dutchie, next time should also try: a tompouce, pasteitje met ragout, oliebol, frikandel speciaal, kapsalon. You'll love them.
We are taking notes! Thanks for your advice! So much more to try.
those are the Dutch foods. That bitterballen stuff was invented for tour groups
What a moronic take, snackbars are woven in the fabric of Dutch culture, you will find a snackbar/car where no tourist comes
Thanks for the video. We just came back from my trip Amsterdam. AMS is such a unique place to visit. The new bike parking facility is huge. My favorite food in AMS is actually the tapas from a Spanish restaurant Duende Dos. :) The most unforgettable activity is the King’s Day party throughout the city. The most beautiful place is Keukenhof.
Peak season for Amsterdam is more like August. I’ve been Amsterdam in March, August, and December and the crowds in August are so bad you’re basically shuffling through the streets because you can’t walk any faster. You’re lucky to see Amsterdam so quiet, that’s when it’s the most charming.
aaa dude I just saw my appartment.......love your vlog hope you had fun in A´dam
woahhh that's so wild!! Small world!
Finally catching up and WOWWWW did this make us hungry!! We grew up eating literally all these things and it's making us miss home 🤤🤤 Except the raw herring... my Opa used to eat herring out the can and I could not handle it as a child hahaha. Maybe I'll have to give it a try in a sandwich one day 😉
We were there almost 10yrs ago…. Really like the herring sandwich, aged Gouda & the Fries with different sauces.. love taking the trams and relaxing walks around the streets
Wow funny how things have and haven't really changed.
The herring is salted. Not like sushi where the fish is usually raw.
Oh wow Netherlands 🙌🙌
You should do a video on how you two met ❤
Raw haring is still for most tourist a brave thing too eat . So , you are verry brave.👍
ooo you guys are nuts in a good and lovely way.....BUT STILL NUTS....LOL love your vlog
Hahaha i dont really know what to say. Thanks! We try our best I guess? haha
Love the series and the dutch food, not so much the prices 😅
I Found it more expensive than France
PS
Did you guys try the dutch meat balls?
Cheer
👋🏼 Small struggling Travel Channel here. I love your content, thanks for this great video! You inspire me to keep grinding my channel, maby one day I’ll grow as big as you 🥲
Hi Claire, what type of camera and kit do you use for recording, which one do you recommend? thank you
Hey! Gear is linked in the description box of the video! :D
Arc De Soleil - The Thief in Marrakesh Got Caught in Amsterdam Trying to Escape, good choice of music, and a good vlog, u know when u have a good taste of music when u listen to
Arc De Soleil, love that band, since u guy's know about arc de soleil, here's a tip of another good band called ""Khruangbin"" and if u do check out, check out the song Dern Kala, its almost the same as arc de soleil, maybe u guy's like it, ""Khruangbin - Dern Kala"", greetings from the netherlands
The guy is weird for me but Claire is AMAZING...............
the seed pods are from Elm Trees
Woah! We have not spent too much time around Elm Trees! Thanks for letting us know.
Pancakes and poffertjes are considered childrens food in the Netherlands, and for tourists.
Goddamn, those prices are definitely tourist prices. Insane.
Lol those seeds falling from the trees, no fun when you have an outside pool. I've been cleaning my pool for days on end every hour.
You two are so cute with good attitude waiting😁👍♥️
You are so kind! Thanks for watching!
Hi Chad and Claire. Could you please travel to Chine one day and give us some tips to travel there? I've heard China is such a difficult destination to go by not using GG maps or any common apps like we use.
Ah, the 5 tourist food groups.
Amsterdam Prices are ridiculously high.
Great guys! I need to get your faces tattooed on my leg!
I call the right leg! 😂 -Chad
@@ChadandClaire How about one on each leg? Claire gives the go-ahead😆
just a little tip: Bitterballen are not meatballs, they are a meat croquette. the base is made with a bechamel and meat then rolled in balls and fried.
Bitterballen is Not with mashed potatoes it’s a ragout in it
How the dog?
you got ripped off for the stroopwafel... 7.50 euro is too much.../ AND at markets are better (and cheaper)... and 16,50 euro for stampot is also a rip...
This stroopwafel is far too expensive compared to other Dutch cookies and pastries.
You are paying a price that is ridiculous ,even in the Kalverstraat 13 euro ? A Dutch person will not easily pay that much for a regular stroopwafel. With chocolate is no longer original at all. If you want to eat a delicious fresh stroopwafel go to the Albert Cuyp markt. The stroopwafels are still affordable there.
When you get ripped off in amsterdam
7,50€ for one stroopwafel? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂only in Amsterdam.
7.50 is a rip off for that stroop wafel no Dutch person in their right mind would pay that
They should have bought it at the Albert Cuyp market 😉
There are so many better cheeses than Gouda cheese .
i dont know why dutch food gets such a bad reputation. okay it's bland and basic, but it's not awful.
Verschrikkelijk duur allemaal. Loop is naar de mindere toeristische plekken of beter nog...ga is weg uit die smerige stad en bezoek is het echte Nederland. Wel een leuke vlog trouwens hoor.
Thanks Guys 💑 for sharing food tour of Amsterdam.🏚 As all ways you made me smile.😊 Broodje Haring go with beer.🐟 🍺🍺Stay safe and happy travels. the channel 💖Cheers 🥧🥧🍺🍺😎
Our pleasure! Thanks for always following along and cheering us on!
