I just finished watching this video, and I found it very informative. I bought a Stanley plane years ago at a swap meet, and never used it until just recently. To my surprise I discovered that it was a # 4 Type 7. I love old tools so now I also have a # 5 Type 6, and I'm looking forward to more planes in the future. It's good to know that people like you are making these tools and their history available to woodworkers. Thanks!
My mom just gave me my Grampy’s planes last night! There’s a no 7 , corrugated sole that was my great grandfather’s. Thanks again for your videos ! They’ll be users even though they are from initial examination, in great shape !
Although I have never purchased from you, I should because Finland is a tool dessert, I really appreciate your videos and what you are doing. Keep up the great work!
Man MJ that is one hell of a haul. Wish I could find one in Michigan, but haven't found one. Like to see what I'm buying or just buy from you. Everything I have purchased from you has worked just as I needed it to. Stay safe and as always Semper Fi bud.
Nice group of tools. It sucks when you find cracks by the mouths. That excelsior No 9½ was beautiful. If you're giving out stickers for sticking it out to the end, I'll take a V logo! You have my address. 😊 I already have your JPF and SW. Great vid!
Your videos are interesting, I'm sure I'm not the only one that doesn't know a lot of this stuff, If you ever come across a Record 43-44 let me know even if I got into a Stanley 45 I'd only need 2 of the smallest irons for making box grooves.
I’ll definitely keep an eye out for a Record 43 or 44. If you want to try out a Stanley No45, we can make that happen anytime. Only downside is that I don’t have the micro-adjust fence on one
@@justplanefun I suspect few people have had to really take down something large before. I picked up a 9 foot long 8/4 board of waterfall Bubinga that the figured grain would have come out of the machines horribly, so I took it down entirely by hand starting with the no 6C. Handled it in no time and had two flat/smooth parallel faces in highly figured grain
You have type 11 stickers? That’s so cool. That would look awesome on my toolbox. I also like those beaders. I don’t yet have a metal beader but could use one and wonder what you will charge
Wow that's an awesome purchase!!!! I have several hundred planes myself I would be interested in that number two body I have six or seven I don't even know but one of them has this ugly repair on the body just kind of bothers me I'd sacrifice for a chewed up out of quare opening rather than a big blob of solder lol that would be the lesser of two evils for me

I still owe you that Millers Falls hand drill, just gotta figure out the chuck situation
@@justplanefun Thanks bud. Really miss mine now.
Plane maker here. Yes, there is overlap with blacksmithing. I also do leaded glass work.
Great stuff / love the vids
Thanks Bud. I know I can always count on you to watch em!
20:21 I recognize those bags/labels. MJD tool parts. They set a steep price but they do deliver
Yep, I bought them used from someone else. He had purchased them from MJD previously

Free sticker for sticking around. Nice. What would you need for that roached 4 1/2? Is the back of the iron too far gone?
Let’s chat via FB messenger or email me. I think you have my contact info, eh?
Yeah, I'll hit you up on fb.
I was wondering where you got those Stanley SweetHeart stickers, very cool!
I get them made and sell em for $2 each. Sometimes I give them away 😉
The proceeds help fund this UA-cam channel

16:20 what?! I love my No 6
I mostly hear people talking 💩 about the ole No6s. And Lord help ya if you’re trying to sell one. Folks don’t want to pay 💰 much

Nice haul. Those stickers are awesome. I'll connect with you on FB about needed parts, and stickers.
I sent a message back with some pics of the plane you asked about

i have picked up 4-5 #3 recently. Just haven't gotten motivated to clean them up and flip yet.
It can sure be an involved process. Good luck!
i am looking for a #5 type 11 cap and iron in decent shape. And yes I watched the video all the way through the end.

The JPF patrons get first crack at everything but if no takers there, we can definitely make it happen.

@@justplanefun thanks bud I never went on patreon I'll try it, great videos!!!
How much for the Box of Stanley Level vials. Thanks Sean
I think I’d like to be at $60 on it with all the vials in the box. If you want it with fewer vials, that’s an option too
Im lookking for a user Stanley No 7. How much?
All the ones in the video are in the $75-100 range, plus shipping
