Pask Makes Bondi Bond: paskmakes.com/boni-bond/ I've been working out the details of this project for a couple of years. I kept putting it off because I knew it was going to take a while with filming all the steps and I knew there would be a fair gap between uploads. I decided to just get on with it as it's what I really wanted to make. As well as thoroughly enjoying the build I'm super happy with the outcome. Hope you like it too. :) If you're interested you can find my 2nd channel here www.youtube.com/@PaskMade
I can only speak for myself, but projects over numerous uploads is perfectly ok. Even with other projects mixed in. Just make sure you finish the project, I hate seeing a great build only to never see the finished product. Maybe that's because I never finish anything and I know the pain. :)
That was an awesome build and the wait was well worth it!! Re attaching the vice to your work bench, when you made the bench I know that you left the narrow sections so that they could be lifted out for clamping parts. If you have another piece of the wider sections of bench, you could permanently attach the vice to it. When you need the vice, you would pull out the "plain section" and place the "vice section" in it's place. This would also mean that you would be able to put the vice anywhere along the length of the bench. If that doesn't make sence, I'll try to work out a better way to explain it 😂
Please keep doing videos in one single part. I'm sure most would agree that we would rather wait for a long video rather than having to wait for more parts! Such a cool vice!
I think I will. I've done a few 2 part videos in the past but I always prefer to finish the video in one. This one had so much work which meant I didn't get a video for a long time but it's probably a one off anyway. :)
Hello, dear teacher, I saw your clip from Iran, and first I will say that I am a tool lover and I think we are the same age, and then I will say that I was very depressed because I had a stroke, but I enjoyed and became happy after seeing this art show of yours. ❤❤❤❤
“ Next week : I needed a train to take me and my projects down to Sydney but I couldn’t find one that exactly matched my needs so I decided to make my own … “
I was thinking as I watched this that I'd love to see Blondihacks make this from his plans (not least because it's metric). She's currently making a steam train...
Since I prefer UA-cam over TV, my vote is definitely for longer complete-project videos. Now, that's easy for me to say, since I don't have to do the editing. I just want you to know they're appreciated. I've been a fan for many years. Please keep up the good work!
i`ve said it many times before and i'll keep saying it, this is one of the best maker channels on youtube, from the ideas to the execution and video editing, everything is top notch
Honestly, that looks so professional, I wouldn't believe it was homemade if I hadn't just watched the entire video. I truly admire your skills, you are amazing.
For someone who has never watched anything like this before, I'm awestruck at the content, delivery, quality and craftsmanship involved. Subscribed as soon as the video concluded. Great evening's entertainment. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wow! I always think you could never surpass your previous projects, but you prove me wrong EVERY TIME! I just love the attitude of "can't buy it then I will have to make it"

I am in awe of your skills. Whether timber, concrete, or metal (of all kinds, sheet metal included) you turn out incredible builds. You are THE most versatile & competent maker I have ever seen.
I know I'm not the only one in the comments with this sentiment. Pask, it wouldn't matter if your videos were 2+ hours long. We will still be here watching them all. Your attention to detail is why you should keep it in one video and make it as long as you want. Trust me, we will still watch them.
This is easily the 10th time I have watched this. It is so great to know that there are people like myself who can put the effort in to making incredible things. You sir and an inspiration :)
I've never skipped a second in any of your videos, 10 minutes or an hour, doesn't make a difference. They're always enjoyable and never a dull moment. You keep making the videos the way you want, we'll keep watching. You haven't steered us wrong yet. You're delightfully clever, humble and humorous, a true treasure in the Maker's community.
Longer videos are absolutely fine by me. It's getting harder to find quality long form content. Everyone's focused on Shorts, Reels, TikTok and so on. You learn so much more by watching longer videos!
I'm almost speechless, what a superb little vice. Thoroughly enjoyed the video Neil and as always, so fascinating to watch. I love the many angles the vice can position in and a really fantastic design indeed. See you on the next one my friend.
You should be so dang proud of yourself, Neil! This is such an amazing achievement to say you made this from scratch. I'm flat out in love with it's design, paint colour and charm. I feel like you could sell this gorgeous item for $15,000+. But I totally understand not selling it, it's too precious!
I'm always blown away by your ingenuity and you sometimes breeze pass little ways you solve problems. Like at 8:40 when you used the shim to make an interference fit for the drill press. Whether it be wood or metal, your methods are just so awesome.
Having it done in one video is the best ! Also a fantastic job on a true custom Vice , it looks like it’s worth hundreds of dollars, I would be very proud of this job , truly a craftsman!
Shoo Neil you keep finding ways to outdo yourself. It's truly remarkable. Not only was this build absolutely brilliant but as usual your videos are entertainment of the highest order for me. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea but it's right up my alley. I am very glad you released it as a single video and I did not even realise it was so long. In fact I felt slightly disappointed that it was all over. You truly are a master of many crafts. Woodworking, metalworking, designing, videography and editing. You are by far my favourite UA-cam channel and when your notification pops I drop everything I'm doing to watch it.
Neil, yet another masterpiece! A truly functional and gorgeous finish! I adore your videos no matter the frequency so keep making what you want the way you want and I will be there to watch each and every one of them!
I am always floored by the sheer breadth of your skills. So many people would be so happy to come anywhere near the level of aesthetics OR the level of functionality of your work, whereas your work has both in spades. As always, thank you so much for sharing.

When I’m boring 25mm I will use 3 steps or 4 at a maximum. As the size goes up, the speed comes down. I hope this helps. Cheers, Stuart. Canberra.
I don't mind the long format videos. Especially when they come out on the weekend. It's a great way to start a Saturday. Amazing vice! Your work is inspiring!
I really enjoyed that, even given it's length. It was good seeing you work through the various issues to end up with something I'm sure you're proud to put in the workshop and use frequently!

It reminds me of my grandfather, a mechanical engineer who built airplanes in his spare time, and created/ developed some of the very first "Numerically Controlled Mills" after WWII. What we call CNC today. And my great-grandfather, a watchmaker. Both of them, if they "needed a tool," they often just went and fabricated it.
Very well done! Your filming was amazing. The vise looked giant! It is always cool when you give it a go and work through problems! A casting video would be awesome!

Amazing. What I learned today.? I had not thought about using a small brush to apply the cutting compound/coolant, instead of using a spray can, now my diy jobs will not be so messy, and my drill bits will last longer. Thanks.!
That was awesome. Great job. The vice looks great! A tradesman who makes his own tools is a true master of the tools. Well done! I also have no problems with longer, single part videos.
Amazing project! I'm so happy that you've put it all into one video - just shows how much you care about viewers more than the numbers (looking at you Alec Steele). I love the brass bushing addition, glad it works great!
What a superb piece. Great job and great video. I think the subject matter needed to be covered in one video and you did that informatively, educationally and without dreadful fill music. All round a fantastic achievement Neil.
Beautiful work - thanks for sharing! I would prefer a multi-part series over one long video. It's easy to slip in a short video when taking a break in the middle of the day. And if I happen to doze off or step away it's easier to find where I left off.
This is AWESOME! And you said you designed it yourself -- just wow! I'd rather watch a long video and wait for it than watching a build in two or more parts.

I had not thought about using a small brush to apply the cutting compound/coolant, instead of using a spray can, now my diy jobs will not be so messy, and my drill bits will last longer.
Thanks.!
Long videos are great, details are great and machining is right up my alley!!!!
That was awesome. Great job. The vice looks great! A tradesman who makes his own tools is a true master of the tools. Well done!
I also have no problems with longer, single part videos.
You're definitely in the top 3 best maker In all UA-cam. You're work is always sooooo professional and perfect.
When I saw this vise on Instagram a few days ago i had no idea you made every part from scratch. So impressive. Super nice. Great result!
Best Super Glue commercial evah! 😉 I am constantly in awe at your patience when it comes to the filing work. I would never get past that. Well Done!
That's going to be really handy for all the hand filing you do. Plus its beautiful and ten times better than anything you could buy. Nice work!
A work of art. I as a viewer I like the long form video. I can chop it up if I have to. Thanks again for your craftsmanship.
That was brilliant. I don't care how long your videos are I could watch them all day mate.
What a great project and well worth the wait. The length of the video is not an issue with me. Thanks for sharing.
A thing of beauty (again). Well done. The long video is great and much better than several separate ones. Thank you.
Real handy vice to hold virtually anything . Theres no limit to what can be made with your own vice and talent .
Neil, great work as usual. I loved the functionality and the color you chose. Thank you for sharing with us.
Beautiful work - thanks for sharing!
I would prefer a multi-part series over one long video. It's easy to slip in a short video when taking a break in the middle of the day. And if I happen to doze off or step away it's easier to find where I left off.
Great looking vice! Please do keep projects as a single video as much as possible.
The more time goes by, the more bloody impressive your builds get! So precise and complex, mate!
This is AWESOME! And you said you designed it yourself -- just wow!
I'd rather watch a long video and wait for it than watching a build in two or more parts.
Your work is always incredible! This one is awesome! Please keep your videos in one part, they're never too long.
