Jeff Durbin is practically a liar. He found an old man and then played word games with him. Thinking that gravity will be the same tomorrow as it is today is not the same thing as having faith in a skyman.

Just out of curiosity, how many people do you suppose are converted (the TRUE CHRISTIAN™ kind) via presuppostional apologetics? And why do these presuppostional apologists like Jeff spend so little time addressing the Bible itself when interacting with unbelievers?
@Clear Sky News Agreed. This type of individual will go down with the sinking ship even if proven wrong. Their pride and ego are too valuable. Unless a miracle occurs - and we all know Christ is well capable. We're miracles ourselves. :)

(2 Cor 10:3-6 )" By destroying their false foundation, The Spirit uses Jeff's witness to force them to face their error and open rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ so that "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:20-22). GOD BLESS

Are you high? I never heard any logic and reason coming from Jeff Durbin. All I heard is presuppositional apologetics. Science works regardless of philosophical world view. We see through practical experience that science via the scientific method is the best tool humans have to understand the world around us. It's not our fault that most of you YEC believe dinosaurs were on the ark, humans are only like 6000 years old, and that the earth is only 10,000 years old...which contradicts science worldwide. This circular argument is pointless. IMO the atheist should just walk away because you can't reason with the unreasonable, anti science deniers.

As a humanist, you believe that every human being is to be treated with dignity, that people’s rights not be trampled upon, that we not oppress people, that we share our goods and our power with others and not exploit them. But how do we prove that? Not only is this a set of beliefs, but those beliefs take more faith to believe. If you are a Hindu, you believe that the world is such that you will get off the cycle of reincarnation and go into eternal bliss if you live a good life but, if you don’t live a good life, you keep getting reincarnated. If you believe the bible, like an Orthodox Jew or a Christian believer, you believe that God made the world, a loving God made the world and you should love your neighbor so that you’re like God, you can know him and be saved. In other words, to live a good life of humanistic values fits in with the Hindu view of what the universe is like and it fits in with the Christian view or Jewish view of what the universe is like. What is the secular view of the world? It’s called a materialist view which says there is no supernatural. There’s only natural. There’s no soul, there’s no heaven, it’s just everything has a natural cause. To illustrate the problem with that, or the amount of faith it takes that humanistic values with that view of the world, this is from a letter to the NY Times. "There are 30,000 galaxies of over 13 billion years old with many trillions of stars and many, many more trillions of inferred planets so, how significant are you? You are not special. You’re just another piece of decaying matter on the compost pile of this world. Nothing of what you are and what you do in the short time you are here will ever matter. Everything short of that realization is vanity. SO! Celebrate life! In every moment, admire its wonders and love people without reservation.” Now, the word, SO, most of us think the word SO means “this logically leads to that”. Most think that the word, SO, takes whatever comes before the word, SO, and logically leads us to what come after it. The first part of that statement is a bracing, wonderfully honest look at what it means to believe in a materialist universe. You’re not here for any purpose, no one put you here, you came up through evolution, red and tooth and claw (the strong eating the weak). You are only here because our ancestors killed weaker organisms and, eventually in the end, you are going to die, the sun is going to die and civilization is going to die. Whether you were a genocidal maniac, an altruist or philanthropist will make no difference in the end and since nothing we do now will matter, therefore, the writer says to love one another. Here’s the question: If that’s the case of the nature of the universe, why should I love other people? If my ancestors got here by destroying and eating the weaker organisms, why should I now suddenly become unselfish. The answer to that questions is this. If you want to believe in humanistic values-it doesn’t follow from your view of the universe at all. It’s an unbelievably HUGE LEAP OF FAITH. It doesn’t take huge faith to go from the Hindu view of the universe to humanistic values, or from the Christian view of the universe to go to humanistic values but it does from a materialistic, secular view to humanistic values. Friedrich Nietzsche wrote, “If you say I’m an atheist, and then you say but we should not starve the poor and we should honor their equal rights, you’re still a Christian, whether you admit it or not because those ideas came historically into the Western society when people believed in the Christian understanding of the universe-that you’re here for a purpose and you’re made by a loving God and you’re made in the image of God and all human beings are children of God. Those values made sense when we believed the Christian view of the universe but we don’t believe that anymore and therefore, if you hold onto those values, you are actually being a Christian and a very, very inconsistent person, though you won’t admit it.”

lol, no.
This is probably coming from a Christian person who smokes weed and drinks alcohol and says only my God can judge me type of person because there is a shit ton of you out there...lol.
In every moment, admire its wonders and love people without reservation.”
Now, the word, SO, most of us think the word SO means “this logically leads to that”.
@@rickdavis2235 I was with you with all the humanity thing...but an Atheist thinks not believes there is no God...thinks keyword...and so people always tie end that if you have morals you believe in God etc...no stop reading so far into it...it's very simple an Atheist is someone who thinks there is no God or evidence of a God...PERIOD!!! Michael Muskett I don’t know if it was just me but he seemed to be doing way less talking and started listening and thinking of what Jeff was saying nearing the end of that dialogue.
Jeff did cut him off quite alot, Would've been nice to have a nice long dialog, In the end i think jeff could've really put a big meaning in his heart, I think the guy was starting to listen abit.
OrahhFFA in today’s day and age, this was a long dialogue. There was no yelling, and Jeff shared the gospel, it was great.
Goggle products you definitely gave yourself the “thumbs up.” Flat earth...really?
@Goggle products I love when flat earth apologetics provokes presuppositionalists into invoking evidence. In my subjective, non-ultimate, and and autonomously absurd opinion, flat earth apologetics is the conditionally dependent _best_ method of making presuppositionalists mad.
Bravo Pastor Jeff. Those two at the end will be thinking about this conversation for a very long time. It will burrow into their souls. Seeds planted.
The girl wants to run away because she's getting uncomfortable
Fatality. 🤯 Well done Pastor Jeff!
UpLifted Performance Atheists are not the enemy who Christians are to destroy, they are enslaved to their sin, just as you were if you are in Christ. Yes stand for the truth but do so with compassion, grace and mercy as Pastor Durbin did here.
Thank you for your example Jeff Durbin. You are gifted at reasoning, exposing the flaws of atheism, and showing others their need for Jesus. God bless!
This is probably the MOST epic creation debate I’ve ever watched. From you or anyone. You took them on a complete adventure through truth logic and reason while also showing them the beauty of the gospel but also exposed their contractions and how ridiculous their foundation in 15 minutes. Once that foundation was obliterated by logic and reason they checked out, which is sad.
Reduced to absurdity
Reducto ad absurdum
19:50 "What if I don't need a basis" yeah she just didn't realize she shot herself in the foot and admitted that she has no idea why she believes what she believes. No point of her arguing if she has literally nothing to stand on.
Pastor Jeff’s ability to ignore “Miss Straw Man argument” and focus on the lost soul at hand (the South Bend Shovel Slayer) is remarkable
WOW! Absolutely amazing debate, hands down the best I've ever seen, that poor old man was drowning from the start! Pray for him and his granddaughter!
Man i love jeff durbins reasoning
They had no idea who they were about to engage! Jeff you motivate me to have these types of conversations and in order that God's gospel will go forth. Ty
We’ll done Pastor. Your love and faith shines through. God bless you and your church.
I feel so sad for these empty people.
Yea, religion made me so empty too. I was mentally ill and only until I let go religion could I get better
@@patpawlowski7635 sounds like you never got better if you are still fighting your inner demons.. otherwise this wouldn't bother you enough to even come and comment on. People who truly do not believe in an creator, don't bother with people who do. One day I hope you can have inner peace. Try philosophy. But be careful, it often leads you back to God.
Whisper Gray thanks, yes philosophy was a big part of helping me get better. I find Jeff to be a bully, thats why I watch these videos and comment on them.
@@patpawlowski7635 I find him a little obnoxious too. I can imagine however what Jesus was also like, talking to the pharisees, irritating the hell out of them talking about peace and forgiveness. Good night ! Hope you find good in your life and the ability to be happy.

Keep fighting for those babies Jeff, we need to pray for those babies and those protesters 🙏🙏🙏
Very powerful! God had truly spoke to them of their folly! Praise Jesus for He is our king!
God doesn't exist.
Ok, then.
Prove it
@@JoseLuisGarcia-vv6yg Time is a necessary requirement of existence and god is timeless. Therefore god doesn't exist.
Elrog3 I actually agree with you, I was saying prove it to the top comment, durbin imposes so much presupposition and seems to truly believe that people can’t be moral without a template/religion
Jeff and Apologia, thank you so much for this. I have learned so much by the grace of God about apologetics and the glory of God through your ministry.
I pray God keeps you safe and on fire to keep preaching the good news of Jesus Christ.
Jeff does a great job. He understands the truth and catches the wise in their craft. Thank you for allowing people to think critically.
@nickj14711 did you just assume my religion 😁😁😁
@nickj14711 there you go again assuming Im christian just because I support Jeffs points. As an atheist, arent you suppose to be more careful how you begin a basic disagreement. Also, you want me to answer a question without stating what the question is. Why cant you calm down first from assuming things.
@nickj14711 Those arent even questions you genius. They are rhetorical opinions that NO i wont agree with.
@nickj14711 Just because you put a ? Doesny make it a question dude.
1. Opinion that does provoke a question, in fact it makes ME want to ask a question by saying How? Explain.
2. This is an opinion.
3. Is this a rhetorical question or do you honestly need me to cite the dictionary of people I can choose from?
@nickj14711 lmao. Youre the only one here playing childish word games. Way to go. You played yourself. Calm down.
Dang Jeff, be nice to the old dude from Home Alone.
I believe that the gentleman probably never knew (or he forgot) why he became atheist in the first place. He also was probably blown away by Pastor Jeff's references to Bertrand Russell and also couldn't respond (in-kind) to reason and logic in his own world view.
That's where it always breaks down.
I guess my 11 year old nephew isn't a human yet because he hasn't hit his growth spurt yet. He's not a real human, cells are still dividing.
Amazing and this is the true church needs to be ready to give an account. This pastor is very intelligent and gifted. He did an amazing job. He knows the truth.
Thank you Pastor Jeff ❤️🙏🇦🇺

Great argument. Really sharp this pastor .
Jeff truly cares for everyone and wants to see god win over lives. By doing so he will go to the extreme to some in order to achieve this. This does not represent arrogance to me as some have claimed. This represents courage and love that most of us “comfortable Christians” wouldn’t dare attempt. God bless Jeff and his ministry.
This was brilliant! Praise God!
Bet this guy was considered the 'clever' one in his group... Keep up the good work, Pastor.
I need to memorize this.

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Graceful?! Polite?! Jeff is a complete a-hole!
@@Elrog3 and yet, you are the one cursing the one you call this fowl Word?
Have you debated atheists and had as much patience with them as Jeff, and still remember to present the gospel to them before it's over? That seems like it would be loving to me, to care for their souls enough to not just stop at being "nice" when the gospel tears down their ideologies and false atheistic faith.
What is your specific problem with Jeff?
@@randycadkins I'll be polite when its mutual. With Jeff, it isn't.
Presenting the gospel doesn't make it graceful or polite. My biggest problem with Jeff is he aggressively tells people what he thinks they actually believe.

"Jeff Destroys Atheist" ... would have been a more accurate title for this video.
Yes, but not a very Christ like title :P Gentleness...love...
@@jacobjasch4397 Are you kidding me? Christ routinely destroyed the pharisees in his debates with them. XD
@@baymeosplit8537 Yes, and even Paul said "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ."
But, that does not mean we go around parading to non-christians "We destroy atheists! we destroy your arguments!" Jesus was relentless, and never lost a confrontation with a Pharisee...but he didn't finish by saying "I destroyed you!"
Pastor Jeff you reminded me of The Apostle Paul I imagined him talking like that to people
Dear Jeff, on your absolutely worst and most discouraging day of your life, I hope you stumble over my comment and be stranghteded and encouraged to continue what you do in Jesus' name!! Don't stop! The way you explain things - even a 5 year old should understand it. Thank you!!
@nickj14711 respectfully, I admit that my worldview is based on faith and I BELIEVE in God. Your worldview is also based on faith and you BELIEVE that nothing can, and did explode to produce everything ... The only difference is that you don't admit that you also have faith in your worldview. Both are religious. Yours in tax sponsored, mine is not.
Best video I’ve ever seen between a Christian and Atheist. Shows the full collapse of the atheistic worldview and the beauty of a worldview filtered through and built upon the lordship of Jesus Christ.
Talk about going into a gunfight with your opponent holding a straw and a hand full of spitwads.
Sad: when we hold words to a specific meaning it is a game to those whom do not understand the words they use or the foundation upon which the crucial meanings stand. If the meaning of the word does not mean anything-what on earth are we talking about?! Godlessness is madness.
You started off okay. But then you got it completely backwards.
"This Atheist Votes" girl has nothing to bring to the argument! Silly!
Oh dear! I think this man is going to need a good lay down and a cup of tea. May God open your eyes and heart sir. We would love to see you in heaven.
Well done, Jeff. God bless you and the ministry!
@nickj14711 Your worldview doesn't even allow evil or good.
Oof, Jeff. This is so good.
Defining words based on root is "word games" only when they go against what an atheist is trying to prove.
Show me the laws of logic so I can see them, have them jump on the table and sing in this microphone.
Cop: "You were doing 90 in a 30 zone. It's against the law."
Guy: "Show me the law."
Cop: "It's written here,look."
Guy: "I see that it's written that the law says that but I want the see the law, hear the law and touch the law. I want the law to tell me that what I did is against it. Have the kick me in the balls if it's real."
Cop: "You're free to go."
Guy: "What is freedom? Can I hold it in my hands? If not, then there is no freedom. Take me to jail."
Excellent. So encouraging to see God’s truth prevail!
Jeff, you do a brilliant job of following his answers to your questions. Always be prepared to give and answer...but do it with humility and love. We must be gentle as we are shattering worldviews! The only thing that separates us from the unbeliever is understanding of the grace and love of God.
"MY OWN understanding of the world." Sounds like an atheist alright.
I wish the pastor can use simple words and talk to the people as if he truely loves them.
If you loved people you would stop teaching them that 'sin is over'
@@MrWitwortel what do I mean by sin is over?

This “pastor” isn’t making sense but also didn’t pick the best person to debate. A “belief” in gravity is not the same thing as a “belief” in a god.
Adam Wilson why not?
It kind of is, i.e. it’s a word we use to explain effects we see in reality. The main difference is that the idea of gravity can provide accurate predictions, but the belief in God does not, i.e. prayers not being answered, the problem of Evil etc. Calling it belief or faith or science or magic doesn’t make a difference to the results and evidence.
