Rav Bhagdev take the pain killers right after it . I had it two days ago w/ local anesthesia, and it wore out before I took the pain killers, worst pain! swelling might occur the next day (mine did ): )
@@cruz7499 Thanks! I got it done day before yesterday (with just a couple of local injections). It was surprisingly painless. I wanted to see how much it hurt after it wore off, so skipped pain killers completely. No pain at all, just a bit sore for 4-5 hours. No swelling, no pain on next day as well! Just doing salt water thing 2 times a day (should be doing at least 4)...
May F that depends on your case each case is different if it’s more difficult unit to remove your teeth then the harder the recovery. Some people can start eating normal 3 days after surgery that’s the standard time period. Worst case scenario is a week of recovery.
im getting my teeth out tomorrow and i watched this video while crying the whole time bc im so anxious about it lmao but your voice is really calming and ur really cute and it calmed me down a little so thank u lol
I am on day 3 of wisdom teeth removal. I got 4 impacted & infected wisdom teeth out 😭😭 still swollen and in pain for sure. I swelled up more the next day I woke up...the surgery, I didn't feel anything because I was put to sleep too
I’m so glad you mentioned the bad breath 😂 I was worried that I was doing something wrong but it makes me feel better that it happens to others. It’s not something I’ve heard anyone else mention but thank God it’ll go away haha I’ve been doing the saltwater rinses (in my case, it helps with the bad breathe/bad taste) and I’ve been trying to brush my teeth and tongue as far as I can in order to get rid of it lol
DON’T BE SCARED! I just got mine out yesterday and man was I FREAKING out to the days that led up to me having them out, I even cried in the dentist chair telling them I didn’t think I could do it. The nurse was very soothing and helped me calm down. I laid back in the chair and they put the oxygen mask over my nose, I did not want the gas and she told me they usually only do that to calm the patient down during the IV stick. I have lots of tattoos and have had lots of IVs so I am used to needles. I just breathed in the oxygen and looked at the ceiling and got myself together. It was very soothing. Then she said okay we are going to start the anesthesia and you’ll feel a little sleepy. Girrlllll or boy lol I was OUT! I woke up in a new room wondering how tf I got there 😆. I wasn’t loopy like you see in the videos I was just a little out of it. I was walked to my car by a nurse and my husband and I could feel slight pain but I was pretty good and numb. I’m on day 2 and my pain level is a 2 out of 10. Do research and find a good oral surgeon! Mine had 5 stars and the patients had the same experience after theirs were pulled which was NO PAIN. I had 2 impacted teeth and they had to cut one out and I feel no pain what so ever even after the numbing wore off and I’m only on Ibuprofen right now. I had all 4 taken out total. ITS GOING TO BE OKAY!!! You got this. I was freaking out for no reason.
I just took 2 of mine few hours ago(wide awake), the pain med really helped when my numb went away but my gag reflex was super sensitive so basically when they numbed me, i literally kept gagging and throwing up. and then now im going to take another 2 in one month again
I wouldn’t say “high” I felt really good! It makes you feel very good and it lasts for maybe 10-15min after you fully wake up. It’s not like the videos you see. There was a point I was awake that I don’t remember at all but they were telling my husband information about my after care and I just came to in the middle of their conversation. I woke up in a chair in a different room with a blanket. You won’t remember anything and you won’t be present enough in your mind to freak out. Just enjoy the meds because it’s a feel good feeling not a scary one and it didn’t even last the whole ride home. Like I said about 10-15 min
@@brittanytaylor2863 ok good! Thank you so so much for actually replying with in depth info! This has definitely helped ease my mind a little! I have to get two pulled next month and am really worried about not feeling myself, having an out of body experience, etc. again, thank you so much!❤️
I got my wisdom teeth out today along with 4 other teeth that hadn't grown in yet. I thought I was only getting two teeth out but NOPE my oral surgeon said they were getting them all out (because there was a problem with how my teeth were growing in- similar like how yours were going to damage your other teeth) and I was so surprised because I had to get 8 teeth out- I was terrified. Thankfully, they had put me under anesthesia and I went to sleep and felt no pain (except when they put the needle in my arm but that's it.) I woke up and felt a little pain on both sides of my mouth and an hour later, the pain tripled. I took pain medication and other medications that they prescribed and it was very helpful. My mouth swelled so much I looked like a chipmunk lol. I'm only in 8th grade and this was my first time getting oral surgery but I'm glad I got it over with.
Had 4 impacted wisdom teeth out Saturday, worst week of my life so far. Swelling was huge, and i got very sick at about the third day. I have no swelling but i still cant eat and im still sick. If yours are impacted be ready for hell.
I think it depends on the person. I had four taken out the other day. One bottom one partially impacted. The other bottom completely horizontal. Three days later and I’ve had no swelling so far. No pain either. I’m on regular ibuprofen just in case but I haven’t had to take my prescription Tylenol with codeine
I had 4 horizontally impacted wisdom teeth removed 3/9/20. My nerves were also very close to my wisdom teeth. I had an excellent surgeon. Each case is different. Don’t let comments like this scare you. I had a great experience. I was numb for approx 12 hours after the surgery. My surgeon did this to manage pain. I was also prescribed strong pain killers, anti inflammatory and antibiotics. My anaesthesiologist was excellent. I was VERY anxious having this surgery. She gave me a pre med and communicated with me prior to the surgery. I also was scared to have severe nausea from general anaesthetic and I had no nausea. This video was great and very informative. Anyone anticipating this surgery, you’ve got this! Stay positive and know this isn’t forever.
Elle Musilli yea it goes surgeon to surgeon, and my laughing gas wore off an hour after the surgery. Which was not fun because my prescription of hydrocodone wasn’t ready yet lol, so that was a nice 2 hours of pure pain before i got the meds. But yea all my sisters only took about 4-5 days and were almost back to normal, i just had a bad case. Also if any of you feel nauseous from the meds or just in general from the surgery they will prescribe you nausea medication that helped me so much.
How was the recovery? I’m about to schedule my removal and I am so scared. Getting all 4 out. Mine are all impacted and one actually came through my gums a little.
I had 2 wisdom teeth out yesterday on the same side. They pulled them at the dentist office, no laughing gas, just shots. And i was sent home with gauze. Thats it. No pain meds. I was told to buy otc ibuprofen for pain. I woke up this am. All the numbess was gone, and OMG. hurts so bad. Even my throat hurts half way down my beck. Nope neva again!!!!! Very very painful. I can bairly open my mouth to even talk
make sure you're icing it!! That can help with the pain and swelling. If it doesn't get better reach out to your doctor. See if they can prescribe you some better pain reliever.
I got my wisdom teeth removed and it's been a week ... The pain is almost gone but The hole is not closed completely ... How many days does it take to close completely? Salt water rinse gives me a type of numbness in the extracted area...
When you have an immense phobia of throwing up or illness in general though, it makes the fear a million times worse. (I have at least two impacted that need to come out, but I can't think about it too much without spiralling into a complete breakdown, the last one lasting for 4 days until I managed to pull myself together).
Alicia Rose Same. My teeth are so ugly and the Ortho doctor said I have to get my wisdom teeth out first. I also have a phobia of throwing up and I know how you feel. I have had some breakdowns thinking about it too. We can get through this together.
This is the same for me. I think I’m going to have to have all four out but there’s no way I’m staying awake for that but I’m scared of the side effects of that and also the heavy painkiller and antibiotic use 😭
I was laying there, nose mask thing over my nose to breath in. Smelled the notorious and knew oh boy here we go woohoo! Then the needle prick from an IV, I was super chill. In the span of I would say 3-4 seconds I went from totally normal, to mask going on my face, to my hearing getting static sounding and louder, to waking up. Within a few seconds you are out. I loved it. It's like you just blink and wake up with them saying hello are you awake, we are all set! Good job! It's an awesome feeling. Pretty dam sore for a few days but nothing even close to the pain wisdom teeth give you when they are in your face. So much better to get them out. The pain was nearly nothing compared to what they feel like when they bother you. Swelling peaked around day 3 or 4 and then went down. Soooooooo worth it. Remember, wisdom teeth never will grow back ;)
This was very descriptive! You’re definitely right about needing someone to get the medication on the way home. I just had mine done a day and a half ago. I’m really worried because of the swelling but this video made me feel a lot better . Thank you so much for making this ☺️ !!!
I’m getting all 4 out tomorrow. I was concerned that the pain could possibly be as bad as the time that I had a tooth abbess although completely different which was dreadfully painful I was in so much agony I didn’t sleep for a night. I think it will be fine now as I also have a strong threshold for pain which is why that happened because I ignored my toothache. My dentist even told me this once because I wasn’t in that much pain when my wisdom teeth got impacted. It will be uncomfortable but I will be fine.
i had to have my bottom right pulled Monday at 1230 so it has been 48 hours and half after it has been done at this point. but i needed my bottom right wisdom tooth extracted. my worry was I am 48 and the older you are they say the tougher it is. it was however a fully erupted tooth. the reason for gong in was i had a cavity a year ago they filled it but on jan 1st a piece of that tooth broke off and it was decayed so could not save it. i dreaded this wathing every youtube video. every single one sounded painful. but i do wonder if all of them were impacted teeth. anyway as of yesterday i actaully went the 2nd half of the day with not even over the counter stuff albiet the pain did start comnig back only mildly so i took some over the counter just before bed and after i woke up today. but it was not as awfu as i thought.
I got all 4 out and 1 other molar out 3 days ago. I had my surgery done at 9 in the morning and I was numb the whole rest of the day. Have had a little pain since then but nothing too bad. All four of mine were all the way erupted though.
I got mine out today an as soon as I got my pain meds I took them and it doesn’t hurt at all with minimal swelling not so much chipmunk for me💀 but I had 5 wisdom teeth someone tell me how it was a mini one on the bottom right 😭
Nora ridell -nope! I have noticed that from my more intense surgeries, but with wisdom teeth that shouldn’t happen! Of course you can look swollen for about a week (2 weeks most) depending on the surgery!
I'm 40 years old and I got 3 taken out 8 days ago. It's really not that bad at all. I was very good about following all the rules and taking the meds because the thought of dry socket scared the sh** out of me. Everyone heals differently and your body will tell you when it's time to eat tougher foods etc. On a positive note, I lost 6 lbs in a week from not eating as much and not drinking. 😂
I had IV sedation and let me tell you when it knocked me out it literally KNOCKED ME TF OUT i almost remember thinking they didn’t do the surgery yet and I was so tried and the nurse had to pull on my arm to help herself help me get in the wheelchair and car not to mention he did it under 30 minutes and way overdosed me with meds so I was sick on top of it woke up pale dizzy and nauseous basically high my first time taking them so we had to start doing halfies then we realized I was allergic to one of the percs I’m still bleeding after a week and have major blood clots which is one of the most uncomfortable feeling I’ve ever experienced I can’t get rid of them due to getting dry socket so I just have to deal and I looked like a straight chipmunk Nono not even like the man filter on Snapchat it was HORRIBLE I literally started praying to god for my healing to come fast I just wanna eat a burger and not feel the gross slimy blood in the back of my mouth ughh one of the worst surgery’s I’m so happy for those who had a fast recovery I literally cried for days I still do oh my lord
Some doctors give you laughing gas first, and then put the needle in you (the needle is how they 'put you to sleep'). The laughing gas makes it so you don't know what is going on though.
I got one lower wisdom tooth out today..im 30 yrs old... it was the most pain ive went through in quite awhile..whether it was from my age or the anesthetic not working that well i have no clue but it was horrible..i was sweating and shaking..they didnt put me under or anything..it was noooo fun..goodluck to you all.. get knocked out if you can!!
It’s been a week and two days since I’ve had mine removed. The first five days were the worst. All I could do was sleep and take pain killers. The worst parts for me were the swelling and the pain. I feel like I’m at 75% healing and should be done by this Saturday
GVOSOUL question how are you sleeping???i got my teeth removed Thursday is it fine if I lay on my back with 2 pillows keeping my head elevated I wonder how long untill I could sleep like I normally do hate sleeping on my back
I’m on the fourth day after surgery and I’ve had a really bad experience, my mouth is so swollen that I can’t open my mouth to eat and I can’t eat regular foods yet. The pain is still pretty bad. Hopefully it gets better soon
Well that is her experience! If you wait till your older then it is so much harder!! I had two pulled in my 20’s and it was not bad at all( and I wasn’t put under). I then had the other two pulled 20 yrs later and it was horrible. It took a month of pain before it started to get any better. I thought I had dry sockets ,since it was so horrible, but I was told that I didn’t. I’m pretty good with surgery’s and my pain tolerance is pretty high. I also had the whole side of my face bruised. It has been 6 weeks and still, every time I eat something where I have to chew it, I get excruciating 😖 pain where my wisdom teeth once were! It causes me to have headaches as well. If you are older ( 40 or more), and they are not problematic, I would NOT get them pulled! But if you have to, be sure to take a week of work and have someone to help you , just in case you have the same type of experience I had the second time around! Everyone definitely has their own recovery time. Depending on so many things. Unfortunately, I also have systemic lupus, which also causes a lot of problems within itself. Also, my surgeon wasn’t very thorough or updated , so please make sure you have a good surgeon and team. I live in a small town, so there is only one surgeon in our area. If I had to do it over again , I would’ve went to a bigger ( more updated) city instead of just going to our local one out of convenience.
I got two impacted wisdom teeth out 5 days ago it hurt so bad the first 3 days hydrocodone and tramadol did not work I have had a ear ache from hell that has not gone away
@@morganmiller5413 You just go in, get your injections and they pull them out. Once the anesthesia has kicked in and you're numb it only takes about 5 minutes to pull them out ☺️ It's good because I think most of the sick feeling afterwards is from the iv sedation rather than the procedure. Like I felt fine after having mine out ☺️
Yeah! I’m confused why people get general anaesthesia. If you have an local anaesthetic you don’t feel anything and it takes like 2 min of actually getting them out
Got all 4 taken out during shelter in place order which made it easier to just be bedridden. Only 2 were growing sideways which was causing more and more pain as time went on. The pain is tolerable with the pain meds and being put to sleep is always scary to me but not as bad as I thought it’d be as I woke up before they finished
I got mine removed 3 days ago and I have been panicking about getting a dry socket ever since. I literally brushed my teeth and I spat this little clotted blood and I panicked. I texted my doctor and he was laughing at me telling me it was normal lol. I didn’t go under it was just local anesthesia they first numbed my gums and then they injected the anesthetic. They took out all 4, 3 of them were impacted. The whole removal took 35 minutes. I got 3 stitches and I have to get them removed after a week. My face is swollen but it’s starting to get down just a little. I’m just hoping for a speedy recovery where my mouth remains clean, my blood clots remain in place and I don’t get a dry socket or disturb anything. I hope everyone who’s going through this to have a speedy bumps free recovery ❤️
I think it really depends. During my first oral surgery I did choose it when it was offered to me. I believe for my wisdom teeth I was just given it. I think laughing gas is a good option if you’re bad with needles or just have bad nerves going into the surgery.
Again totally depends. Some people can handle it with just laughing gas. Some doctors will only do the surgery with one or the other. Personally, I don’t like to “go under” unless it’s necessary. If your wisdom teeth aren’t impacted, it won’t be as necessary to get the IV. If you’re only having 1 or 2 wisdom teeth removed, it’s not as necessary to get the IV. My surgeon recommended the IV for my comfort, and because I was getting all 4 removed at once.
@@JoannaSophia Thank you for the info. I have an appointment to get mine removed. I have 4 and they are impacted mostly. The oral surgeon I am going to said that he generally does not prescribe oxycodone. He said that Tylenol and Advil is all that is needed. Would you recommend that I find someone else? How much did the oxycodone help you? I know some people say it makes them feel weird.
They will never force you to do it so if you don't want to, you don't have to. However, the earlier you do it the better, as when you're younger you heal faster. Also, the longer you wait, the more time you are giving the roots to grow so it will get closer and closer to nerves that could potentially get damaged. (ex: I know someone who her side of her mouth is completely numb and she sometimes has speaking problems). It's a slim chance, but removing earlier will keep that probability down. I went into a consultation and took the above advise that the oral surgeon charged with me and the next availability that he had was 2 weeks after my consultation. There's no rush of when you schedule, it's really whenever you want to do it and whenever he/she is available. I literally just got all 4 pulled out yesterday so en route of healing. Biggest thing that I'm trying to do is prevent dry sockets.
Your dentist will know how soon you should get them out! I had my last check up over Christmas break and they told me all 4 were growing in crooked and needed to get them out by summer at the latest, so I scheduled an appointment to get them out tomorrow actually. Just ask your dentist and they will know a time frame!
I actually think you might be able to? I would depend what your doctor is prescribing you of course, but for another round of surgery I had I was able to take drinkable medicine! I'm not sure it is pleasant though.
Same I can’t take pills either I’m really scared to have my 4 impacted wisdom teeth out I’ve never had surgery before the other day i went to go see my moms cousin in the hospital the other day i hated and was scared of seeing her in pain she had a lung tumour scare she swallowed something down the wrong tube like when a little kid swallows their food and I went to go see her and she was sleeping when me and my family walked into her hospital room but also I have a question can you have your wisdom teeth removed at the hospital ?? Hello 👋 from Canada 🇨🇦 🤗🩷🦷🦷
You saying “it’s not that bad” shouldn’t speak for people with impacted wisdom teeth. Mine were impacted I had 4 pulled out and it was so painful the next day even being on so many pain killers... the swelling was so bad I couldn’t even close my mouth. Everyone is different, some people have it easy :(
I had 4 impacted out and I can definitely say it is not that bad I'm on my 3rd day sleeping is the hardest I guess I have a high pain tolerance because I dont have much pain just stick to apple sauce pudding and yogurt for a few days and you'll be fine
I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed it was really painful the first day I ate soup for like 4 or 5 days maybe,my face was really swollen and it got back to normal after 4 days, it’s been a week now and I have no pain and I’m eating normal like before
I'm getting out tomorrow and never had a meeting with an anesthesiologist/ they never told me how to prep for it which has got me feeling really nervous because I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do..
Is it normal to ooze blood after 2 of the surgery? It's definitely not alot of blood but I see small traces in my saliva. I'm scared if I'm going to develop dry socket.
Tips for pain I have been taking ibuprofen 800 and hydros and I still have in extreme pain for my bottom right where my stitches are I got all 4 removed
I've had 5 teeth taken out( 4 were wisdom teeth and 1 molar on the top left wisdom teeth) under IV sedation. I haven't had any swelling or pain and it's 5 days since my surgery
I’m sure you’ll do great! Even if they’re impacted, you’ll get through it! And my camera info is in the about section of my page! I use different attachments depending on the video. ☺️
OMG when you search for anything on youtube you are sure to find it. Now that I am over 30 yeard old I was wondering why I had only 2 wisdom teeth instead of 4 like many people. Thanks for the video. I am gonna remove those f...king 2. No more stress.
I'm getting all four of mine removed Saturday. I'm a nervous wreck about it T-T. I'll be under general anastetic, through iv sedation. The iv and sedation dosent bother me as I've been put to sleep many times (long stories!) Its the actual surgery and the recovery that spooks me :( especially as mine are impacted! T-T
hi! i got mine out Thursday. how long did it take for you to be able to eat normal foods again? without being afraid you would get dry socket if food got into the hole? i’ve been craving normal food and i just wanna know how long i’ll have to wait lol
Did you ever experience throbbing, sharp pain like radiating to your cheek?? I’m on my 3rd day after getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth and I have pain on just one side of my face and it’s kind of worrying me
Hello, do you remember what happened to the pain on just one side of your face? I'm on the second day and the pain is alternating between the bottom sides of my mouth where the wisdom teeth were. I'm scared if it keeps going but I understand that I'm only on day 2
I am getting my 4 wisdom teeth taken out and also a baby tooth and exposing a canine and attaching the bracket on it all at the same time. Not too excited about that
I'm 13 and I have all four of my wisdom teeth, I think that they are growing at an angle a little. My parents don't know that I have my wisdom teeth and sometime the upper right one hurts a little. Should I tell my parents that I have my wisdom teeth? Or should I just wait until the next time I go to the dentist and ask the dentist to check it out?
Hey your video is certainly helpful I am getting my all 4 wisdom teeth out next week pls.. tell me does the looks changes I m getting married in 2months and I am super scared about the surgery 😩
I went to the oral surgery they pull 4 wisdom teeth. They did last Tuesday & it still swollen on my left side of my jaw & bottom left of my gems any advice how long it will take to heal
@@JoannaSophia Thank you, I am working that day so my appointments at 4pm so I have the whole day to stress and think about it. I wish i had my appointment in the morning. I'm not suppose yo eat 8 hours before, which also stresses me out haha
I got my wisdom tooth extracted on Thursday and it's been 6 days already, and miss eating food like tacos. But I want to know how many weeks I'll have to wait to eat any hard foods again. And can a blood clot still fall out after a week because I'm scared of getting a dry socket!
I just had all 4 out plus 1 other molar. It really isn’t that bad as long as you follow their directions. I was pretty scared of the pain afterwards but I was very relieved to not have much pain at all. It’s more of a weird numb feeling for me.
Hi Joanna, I really appreciate your video guide, Thank you. I have a question, It's possible to go back to the training (Running or Swimming) after 3 days of my Wisdom Teeth extraction?
I had my surgery yesterday. But I accidentally forgot instructions and rinsed out some blood the day of the surgery. And some skin pieces came out but no blood clot. And I'm scared that I might've given myself a dry socket. However when I look in my teeth hole there are filled with blood. What do you think?
natalie de los santos My swelling is so bad too , it’s way worse on one side than the other 😭. But every time my dad and sister eat real food i get soo jealous
Got mine out on Friday Been taking Norco once a day because Im weird about pain relievers I feel like it’s getting worse in pain tho /: I have 0 swelling n most my pain is on one side
Am so mad .-. I had pain for a few days inside my cheek and when I went to the dentist I found out i actually bit my cheek really hard which caused this much pain. And plus they found out on an X-ray I had One random wisdom tooth grown right next to it. It wasn’t bothering anything but they told meh I had to still remove it. :/ am only 15 whyyyyyyyy
Did you notice your face becoming a lot thinner? I need mine out but ive heard horror stories online of people getting really sunken in faces after removal and i already have a slim face.
@@camilla5760 so you mean you think it's in their head and they just lost weight from not eating a few weeks because of the surgery? Thats possible, but i've read numerous accounts online where people have said that this goes on for years *the sunken face*, not just those few weeks. I know that molar removal can contribute to bone loss and in turn, a sunken face. But i am not sure if wisdom teeth can do that and it seemed like people were saying it can...
@@JoannaSophia well to me, anyone willing to be awake during something like that is nothing short of a trooper in my books. they told me that i would be relaxed during the procedure and i wouldnt remember it afterwards and i still didnt do it
Raine I just had mine removed with local anesthesia, all I felt was some tugging. The plus is you are so numb from the anesthesia that there is no pain afterwards.
@@Metalann82 its not the pain that concerned me, it was that i was going to be awake during the whole thing, if i was conscious during it i could theoretically move my head at a moment i wasnt supposed to and really screw something up (especially if i was drugged out of my mind like i was going to be) and on top of that, i simply dont want to see all the horrors of wisdom teeth removal firsthand
You were lucky that you didn’t suffer too bad. I’m 48hrs after only getting one deeply impacted wisdom tooth out. My whole left side of mouth is completely swollen and the pain is unbearable. I’m on three different pain killers and it’s not touching the pain. Ice helps but I can’t eat or sleep which is the hardest thing. Please say it gets better?
I got all four out yesterday and I look like a chipmunk
Ahhh I hope it went okay!
Me too 😕
How was it? I'm going tomorrow. But getting just the two. I plan to go with just local, no sedation 💪
It was surprisingly painless. its honestly not that bad guys. Got mine out a few weeks ago and I didn't have much pain at all, within a few days you start feeling normal again.
Were they impacted?

how long did it take for the taste to go away? my mouth taste like puke constantly , I've brushed , ate mints , flossed , etc.
Good chance you got a dry socket if u can't get rid of it. The bad breath. It's normal. But that's a notice of infection

I had 2 impacted teeth and they had to cut one out and I feel no pain what so ever even after the numbing wore off and I’m only on Ibuprofen right now. I had all 4 taken out total. ITS GOING TO BE OKAY!!! You got this. I was freaking out for no reason.
Thanks for sharing your story! I'm so glad everything went well! I completely agree that a great surgeon is very important.
I just took 2 of mine few hours ago(wide awake), the pain med really helped when my numb went away but my gag reflex was super sensitive so basically when they numbed me, i literally kept gagging and throwing up. and then now im going to take another 2 in one month again
Did you feel high after waking up?? I’m petrified of feeling high and I’m very nervous to experience that feeling with getting this procedure done
I'm only in 8th grade and this was my first time getting oral surgery but I'm glad I got it over with.
dang, 8 teeth! Whoa.
Had 4 impacted wisdom teeth out Saturday, worst week of my life so far. Swelling was huge, and i got very sick at about the third day. I have no swelling but i still cant eat and im still sick. If yours are impacted be ready for hell.
:( mine are impacted
Fuckk😭
I made the mistake of waiting till after to get meds. Trust me go get it the meds asap
18 days from now I’m getting 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed. This helped a lot. I’m so scared 😭
Don't be scared!
How was the recovery? I’m about to schedule my removal and I am so scared. Getting all 4 out. Mine are all impacted and one actually came through my gums a little.
How was it??? I have impacted as well! How are you now?
I’m getting all 4 out on Tuesday 🥴 pray for me please, I’m so anxious with needles, blood, pain, etc 💓
Sylvana G. I just got mine taken out and I was awake. It’s not that bad I promise just make sure you take care of yourself 🥴
Im getting all 4 of them removed next month....great
I only have two and they are growing so it won’t be that bad
Avril Lavender lucky I have all 4 and they aren’t growing as much there is just a little stub of a tooth
🦷
I have three so it’s not all that bad it’s better that all four🦷👱🏼♂️
That guy is me
HEY!!! that’s mean 😿🥺I’m lucky that I don’t have to get them out right away so just BACKOFF
I’m getting two removed in the upcoming week and I’m terrified 😭 this is the most relaxing videos there is about wisdom teeth. It gives me hope
Glad I could help :) You'll be fine!
@JoannaSophia is your wisdom tooth horizontal impacted? How many hours your in worst pain after surgery?
I think I’m going to have to have all four out but there’s no way I’m staying awake for that but I’m scared of the side effects of that and also the heavy painkiller and antibiotic use 😭
im currently recovering, just got mine out yesterday.
I’m 15 and I got my extraction yesterday it didn’t even hurt during or after it felt pretty good😂
Yeah, I had a different experience when I got mine out two days ago. It seems like it wasn't as painful for me compared to your experience.
How r u now?
i just got all 4 of mine taken out yesterday i was in soo much pain the day of but now it doesn’t hurt as much
I got mine out today and the pain is actually pretty bearable. I was actually expecting it to be whole lot worse tbh😂.
I got mine out today an as soon as I got my pain meds I took them and it doesn’t hurt at all with minimal swelling not so much chipmunk for me💀 but I had 5 wisdom teeth someone tell me how it was a mini one on the bottom right 😭
I had 5 as well but my extra one was on the top right! Crazy how it happens!
did your face structure change afterwards? are u seeing a difference on your jawline and cheekbones?
Nora ridell -nope! I have noticed that from my more intense surgeries, but with wisdom teeth that shouldn’t happen! Of course you can look swollen for about a week (2 weeks most) depending on the surgery!
How do people pay for this? Insurance covers almost nothing for tooth surgery
Did you take painkiller every 15 minutes or every 1 hour cuz of a lot of pain
I HATE needles!! Does anyone know if they can put you to sleep THEN put the needle in you???
Ava P same here!
Some doctors give you laughing gas first, and then put the needle in you (the needle is how they 'put you to sleep').
The laughing gas makes it so you don't know what is going on though.
Joanna thanks!!! I actually got my wisdom teeth out just last week!! But they didn’t give me any laughing gas. I don’t know why.
I’m on day 14 still swollen and hurt. I guess I removed them at 36 year old it will take longer to recover🤷♀️
Stay strong! You’ve got this!!
Kali O. Me too. Tbh idk what to do😩
Well that is her experience!
:(
In Ireland and the UK we have our wisdom teeth out with local anasthetic, it's really rare here for someone to get sedated for them.
Wow. So what is the procedure like?
@@morganmiller5413 You just go in, get your injections and they pull them out. Once the anesthesia has kicked in and you're numb it only takes about 5 minutes to pull them out ☺️ It's good because I think most of the sick feeling afterwards is from the iv sedation rather than the procedure. Like I felt fine after having mine out ☺️
Yeah! I’m confused why people get general anaesthesia. If you have an local anaesthetic you don’t feel anything and it takes like 2 min of actually getting them out
I'm getting all four wisdom teeth out idk when yet but someday in July and it's my first surgery
You'll do great!
@@JoannaSophia thanks🙂
Yea, I have had surgery before but never teeth
Did it hurt during the surgery? I go next Friday to get all 4 pulled and I’m terrified
Would you recommend getting laughing gas before getting the IV?
That’s what I’m wondering
I think it really depends. During my first oral surgery I did choose it when it was offered to me. I believe for my wisdom teeth I was just given it. I think laughing gas is a good option if you’re bad with needles or just have bad nerves going into the surgery.
@@JoannaSophia Would you recommend the laughing gas plus the IV or the laughing gas on its own? Thanks.
After you found out that you had to get them removed how long did u have to wait to get the surgery
Because I already knew my doctor I'd say only two weeks at the most! I wanted to get them out ASAP
Doe it hurt to get the needle in ur hand
No! At least not how my doctor proceeds. I had laughing gas first, so you’re really out of it before they insert any needles!
Joanna thank god
Thank u Joanna👏🏼❤️
What were you prescribed for pain? I’m getting general anesthesia...
Another Question: I hate taking pills, can you take chewable or drinkable pain meds???
No
August alsina thanks! I get my wisdom teeth out next Friday!!!
My tongue is still numb after 2 and a half days, should I be worried?
You saying “it’s not that bad” shouldn’t speak for people with impacted wisdom teeth. Mine were impacted I had 4 pulled out and it was so painful the next day even being on so many pain killers... the swelling was so bad I couldn’t even close my mouth. Everyone is different, some people have it easy :(
I had 4 impacted out and I can definitely say it is not that bad I'm on my 3rd day sleeping is the hardest I guess I have a high pain tolerance because I dont have much pain just stick to apple sauce pudding and yogurt for a few days and you'll be fine
Mine were also impacted and the pain isn’t that bad
Painful a lot? How many hours u feel worst pain
i just got mine out like 5 hours ago and i literally almost passed out from standing in my bathroom. yay
What types of medications where you prescribed?
I think I mention it in the video! But I mainly took Advil and Tylenol extra strength!
I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed it was really painful the first day I ate soup for like 4 or 5 days maybe,my face was really swollen and it got back to normal after 4 days, it’s been a week now and I have no pain and I’m eating normal like before
I'm getting out tomorrow and never had a meeting with an anesthesiologist/ they never told me how to prep for it which has got me feeling really nervous because I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do..
i’m getting mine out tomorrow
Good luck!
Is it normal to ooze blood after 2 of the surgery? It's definitely not alot of blood but I see small traces in my saliva. I'm scared if I'm going to develop dry socket.
Totally normal!
Im on my second day and tge pain meds are definitely helping a lot. I do have minor bruising around my jaw
What kind of camera do you have, also your video was informative, you've earned a subscriber.
I’m sure you’ll do great! Even if they’re impacted, you’ll get through it! And my camera info is in the about section of my page! I use different attachments depending on the video. ☺️
@@JoannaSophia omg you actually commented that's awesome. I believe you. I'm just nervous.
I'm getting my out in 7days..I'm so scared I'm just getting local anesthesia 😢
Not too excited about that
Getting mine done in 20 minutes smh
I had mine taken out the first night was the worst still a little sore but not as bad
I would mention it to your parents, but it can ~probably~ wait until you see you dentist!
Hey your video is certainly helpful I am getting my all 4 wisdom teeth out next week pls.. tell me does the looks changes I m getting married in 2months and I am super scared about the surgery 😩
How r u now?
I went to the oral surgery they pull 4 wisdom teeth. They did last Tuesday & it still swollen on my left side of my jaw & bottom left of my gems any advice how long it will take to heal
i found out i was getting them removed the day before of the surgery. i got them out today...
Does anyone have tips in calming nerves during the weeks leading up to that day?
Try to relax (watch a few movies, read a book, whatever you like to do)! No need to be nervous it’s a simple process the day of and you’ll do fine!
@@JoannaSophia Thank you, I am working that day so my appointments at 4pm so I have the whole day to stress and think about it. I wish i had my appointment in the morning. I'm not suppose yo eat 8 hours before, which also stresses me out haha

im so terrified to get them out, i have a consultation in 2 days and im freaking out over that haha
You'll be okay!!! dont worry!
Yecid Gustavo Romero Higuera No. Many people suggest that you take time off ( up to a week) from any strenuous activity or from moving around.
Any tips on reducing the swelling????
Ice! and keeping your head elevated when you sleep.
I had my surgery yesterday. But I accidentally forgot instructions and rinsed out some blood the day of the surgery. And some skin pieces came out but no blood clot. And I'm scared that I might've given myself a dry socket. However when I look in my teeth hole there are filled with blood. What do you think?
I think you are fine! I'm so sorry I didn't respond earlier!

The procedure is it painful??
I was under anesthesia so no pain during the actual procedure!
OMG I SAID THING ABOUT RYAN REYNOLDS AND MY FACE OMG 😭😭😭😭😭

Did you notice your face becoming a lot thinner? I need mine out but ive heard horror stories online of people getting really sunken in faces after removal and i already have a slim face.
OceanMetTheSky you just lose weight day
@@camilla5760 so you mean you think it's in their head and they just lost weight from not eating a few weeks because of the surgery? Thats possible, but i've read numerous accounts online where people have said that this goes on for years *the sunken face*, not just those few weeks. I know that molar removal can contribute to bone loss and in turn, a sunken face. But i am not sure if wisdom teeth can do that and it seemed like people were saying it can...
im getting mine done in an hour.
i’m so scared plus mine are impacted 🙄🙄
How did it go?
I'm scared because two of mine are compacted and on the nerve, digging into my cheeks.
my mom thought it wan unreasonable for me to want to be put to sleep for my wisdom teeth removal
so i just didnt do it :)
It is appropriate for some people not to be put under! It's a personal choice!
@@JoannaSophia well to me, anyone willing to be awake during something like that is nothing short of a trooper in my books. they told me that i would be relaxed during the procedure and i wouldnt remember it afterwards and i still didnt do it
@@raine6813 dumb ass
Raine I just had mine removed with local anesthesia, all I felt was some tugging. The plus is you are so numb from the anesthesia that there is no pain afterwards.
@@Metalann82 its not the pain that concerned me, it was that i was going to be awake during the whole thing, if i was conscious during it i could theoretically move my head at a moment i wasnt supposed to and really screw something up (especially if i was drugged out of my mind like i was going to be) and on top of that, i simply dont want to see all the horrors of wisdom teeth removal firsthand
Why is every video i watch people get knocked out i was wide awake and conscious lol no pain just the blood lol
Everyone experiences things differently :)
@@JoannaSophia yeah i see that now it's just weird for me lol and
Was the shots in your mouth painful?
@@lqcertified3739 nah man you dont feel anything
Oxycodone is generic for Percocet so it was Percocet you took.
I’m getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow and I laughed the whole video and I don’t know why 😂
Probably because she would talk in high notes everytime she would says liiike thiiiis or honestly 😆 like a valley girl
I cant beleive I freaking ate lasagna the same day after surgery lol
You were lucky that you didn’t suffer too bad. I’m 48hrs after only getting one deeply impacted wisdom tooth out. My whole left side of mouth is completely swollen and the pain is unbearable. I’m on three different pain killers and it’s not touching the pain. Ice helps but I can’t eat or sleep which is the hardest thing. Please say it gets better?
It definitely gets better, but I think it normally gets worse for two/three days before getting better!
