The whole time I thought I was doing a good job flossing but now I realized I've been flossing way too aggressively by forcefully running the floss over the papilla back and forth multiple times. From now on I'm going to be a lot more careful and hopefully my gums can improve.

very informative, and love that you actually mentioned the little footnotes like the difference between floss and tape. Very good flow. I grew up using a tongue scraper (it comes as a metal/plastic thin flat strip. I use plastic as the aluminium one tends to make my tongue bleed) as part of my oral hygiene, I wonder what your views are on them?

I thought I was taking great care of my teeth and gums. I brush and use mouth wash twice daily and floss every night. I went to the dentist today for the first time in 3 years and found out I actually have pretty bad gum disease because I was just flossing between my teeth and not going below the gum line. I also didn't know that you're supposed to floss between your very back tooth and gum. I'm 23 and always visited the dentist regularly up until the last few years and now I feel REALLY stupid knowing I've been flossing wrong this entire time and thinking my teeth were really healthy

I escalated to Cranbourne manager Shane and politely requested many times but he was an uncourteous parrot repeating same thing, treat you like an animal.
Busting and first time there they said go to the pub or shopping centre which we don't even know the area! Wtf
What a joke. Let's see what action will be taken?
I'm lodging formal complaints in detail to DHS.
Pathetic conduct and appalling response by Shane ruined our morning.
He better hope his own mother does not have a full bladder in public and embarrass herself. Prik
This is the first government site I've been to that doesn't allow use of on-site water facilities.
If they book us there again I'll drink a cup of coffee beforehand, 2 litres of water for hydration, 1 litre of Cola so my urine is yellow, and pss myself on their floor so they can wipe it, for wasting our time and saying the same crap over again.
Star is for the pleasant to deal with interviewer Dani. Interpreter on call was also decent this time round.

My parents never taught me how to floss and it always hurt when I tried it. I feel ashamed to be learning this only as an adult.

It’s pretty humiliating to be shown how to floss when your 64 years old.

I try to floss as much as I can but it is always painful and I realize from watching this video that I've been flossing entirely wrong. Lots of dentist will encourage you to floss but not tell or show you exactly what you're supposed to be doing. I had been flossing inside of my gums instead of just between my teeth, no wonder I always bled and my mouth was always soar. I'll definitely floss more after watching this.

floss more, floss right! And most importantly, dance floss too, it increases the effectiveness of flossing by 11%.

I actually saw floss videos to the gums, so awful. Dats obviously will hurt the gums. Glad u change your way of flossing. Hope u hav good gums now. ☺️👍

This video is wrong. you are supposed to go under the gum line around your teeth. Obviously not on the gum between the teeth, but the floss has to curve around the tooth and go under the gum line. What he's showing is doing 50% of the work. Plaque accumulates on the teeth under the gum line as well.

I’m 20 and just started flossing and didn’t start brushing my mouth regularly, and correctly until I was 15ish (I know, crazy). Broke a tooth at the beginning of this year, went to the dentist to get a root canal and my dentist said I had perfect teeth, no cavities, and my only issue was grinding. Insanely lucky.

Get a good habit of flossing and brushing going! Lucky, yes, but that luck runs out. Trust me, I'm in the process of getting my teeth fixed, after years of pain.

Kind of a late reply but same. I don't know why but I never regularly brushed and my teeth stayed perfect, except some yellow-ing which I now fixed by regular brushing and flossing.

I grew up homeless and nobody taught me how or why to brush until I was 19 and I taught myself, I have had loads of cavities but luckily still have my teeth I'm taking much better care of them now!
