- In this video I will show you how to fix stripped out screw holes on your kitchen cabinets. The screw holes I am talking about are the door hinges. You can fix this problem with out replacing the door or moving the hinges to a different location.

This helped me so much! I’m going to do the toothpick method today. Thanks 👍🏽

Just the video I needed to repair a stripped screw hole in my daughters cabinet door!
Glad It helped!
Super Helpful. Thank you tons!
You're welcome!
Thank you. I did glue only and it lasted about five years. I knew there must be something better.
Thank you very much, I'll definitely use toothpicks tomorrow to repair door locks.
Great video, thanks - simple and super-helpful!
Thank you and you're welcome!
Thank you so much for your advice, raw plugs for me.
Thanks for this. I've got those rocking adjustable cabinet hinges, and the stripped screw holes were on the inside of the cabinet. I tried the toothpick/glue method and after a couple months, the dang screws came out and the holes are stripped again. Is moving the hinge now the only thing to do?
one last thing you can try. You can fill the hole with resin then redrill. Or you can try CA glue, fill the hole with CA glue (super glue) and install the screws. One other thing I've done is to install small dowels.
@@Doityourselfwithjoe I will try one or both of these solutions! Thanks much. Also I think my screws were too short.
Do you need to wait for the glue to dry?
No you don't
very helpful! Thanks!
You're Welcome!
What specific molly do I buy? I googled it but could only find anchor bolts for drywall. Really appreciate a link or name
I left a link in the description. Don't worry if they don't go all the way in. Just trim it down. I couldn't find a link for a smaller box. I hope this helps!
@@Doityourselfwithjoe thank you!
I use golf tees which work well. Sorry I posted before you finished.
Yes they drive in to the hole nicely. Pun intended!
@@Doityourselfwithjoe lol. They do work well and easy to carry in a tool bag.

Will super glue work instead of wood glue?
Also a match stick fits in the hole. I could use that with super glue?
@@sixtieskid yes that will work.
@@Doityourselfwithjoe I bought a $19 drill at walmart and got the job done. Thanks so much for the info!
@@sixtieskid You're welcome!
What kind of glue did you use for the toothpick method?
Tite bond wood glue
