    Damage to furniture surfaces by water is most common in the bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has a high concentration of moisture and therefore, no matter how good the furniture, they are still exposed to moisture and water, after which the material (chipboard, MDF, wood) absorbs moisture and swells. And the paint or lamination begins to crack and fall out. In the video I will show how you can fix furniture damaged by water and moisture. If you notice that such damage begins to form on the furniture, they should be restored and removed immediately. If such damage is not repaired immediately, they will quickly increase many times and completely destroy your furniture. You will have to buy new furniture)
    I restore furniture damaged by water with restoration materials: Hard wax, Soldering iron, Spatula, restoration paint, varnish + auxiliary materials. For a perfect result, it is important to choose the colors of restoration materials, especially paint. In the video, I did not try to make the restoration perfect, I just showed my method of how to fix water-damaged furniture.

    I hate MDF so passionately because of this. Thanks for the demo. I should try this. The alternative is ripping it all off and building the cabinetry out of ACP or something.. Thanks

      acrylic ridged sanding-block
      alternatively get a really fine sandpaper or some half plastic half rubber material, I once fine sanded a furniture down with a bottom of a cheap shoe ( it was clean and unused basically new but was cheaper then the materials and shoe store was closer then the hardware store ) ...

    Good fix but I can still see the damage. Somehow the repaired area is a different color and it's not as shiny. Why didn't you spray it with a spray varnish?

    • @TheRestorer
      @TheRestorer  2 роки тому +1

      I didn't try to fix it perfectly. It was just necessary to repair the damage so that the water would not increase the damage

    • @TheRestorer

      On monochromatic surfaces to make imperceptibly it is necessary to repaint a detail completely (surface)

      Blimey, I bet you point out all the points where little kids haven't coloured inside the lines as well... 🙄
      Spray varnish wouldn't work here.
      The Restorer is wise enough to know what to use and where to stop. Unlike you, it would seem.
