James From Production Expert Gets A Guided Tour Of The SSL XL Desk Part 1

In this video for Production Expert James Ivey chats to Sam Bath from Solid State Logic (SSL) about the XL-Desk a 24 into 8 into 2 analogue mixer. As a studio owner who is actively looking for a console for his studio James was very keen to get hands on with the XL-Desk and see if it has got what it takes to fit in with his workflow.
Sam shows James around the channel strip of the console and they talk about its signal path and routing options.

I just love this XL desk. Yes there are other consoles out there that may have more features like the Audient, but this console provides you with the clear, punchy clear SSL sound. Just wonderful to hear and work with. For tracking, and mixing, running all your signals through this as well as outboard gear, its a perfect piece of gear in this price range.

is there a way to insert any sort of EQ's of compressors on those extra 16 cue inputs? Or do you basically just have a volume control for those inputs?
