Every HD2 mission has the: - Worst possible drop site - Guy that dies repeatedly - Guy that pops off out of nowhere before dying to friendly fire - Guy that dies while holding a 500kg - 10 consecutive misinputs when trying to reinforce - Automaton spy
That actually happened to me recently. I was diving with the 505, and the pelican was waiting for me, but I'm stuck on a cliff that a bot fortress was built on. We had already cleared the structure, but heavy devastators and hulks were swarming the place like ants. I had already spent my orbital lasers, my amr was down to two mags, and an orbital precision wouldn't do the job alone and I'd probably need it if I escaped. So I did what any logical Helldiver would do. I threw down an orbital walking barrage at my feet as I charged literally screaming "fuck it, FOR SUPER EARTH!" I rushed past all three hulks and ran into like 13 devastators all trying to cross the bridge at the same time, effectively creating a shield wall like in the Viking or Roman days. I dove into them, crawled between their legs while pulling grenade pins, and somehow managed to escape. I sprint over to my last body where I dropped 7 super samples, and in the span of one second, I grabbed them, my friends and I opened our mouths to comment on how I just pulled the impossible, and then my own bomb landed directly on my own head. Best shit I've ever seen.
@BertzTriscut HOLY SHIT. DUDE THAT ABSOLUTELY INSANE. I usually just do it when theres a shitton of bots in-between us and the objective. Like when you're stuck in one spot holding the line, you just gotta do it for democracy and kick ass.
The start reminded me of being pinned down at Malevelon Creek. It took us half the runtime to finally break out, but it seems J.O.E.L. was with the clankers that day because there was a patrol waiting for us on the flank. All SES Marshal of Vigilance and its 3 allied Super Destroyers divers were lost in a river bed in between two hills that day... We will always remember the Creek.
😢 legitimately no joke make me choke up. Every time I hear Fall of Malevelon Creek by Jonathan Young I go back. Your comment is the second time today I had to pause and remind myself that we retook the Creek and the Cape on my back proves it.
I hope we get introduced to some characters to follow along in this funny show. This takes me back when watching RvB videos back in the day 😂🤣 Keep up the amazing work, guys. Subscribed 💯
