Something I have started doing is watching TV whilst on the treadmill. Its usually an hour, I'm only going to be sitting down to watch so I might as well be active instead. Its helped kick start my own lifestyle change and I tell myself if I want to watch it I have to get on the treadmill.
On ways to help, I know crying is seen as a weakness, which is ridiculous in itself, but I cry. I find it's the best way to let out all the stress and anxiety I'm under. It's a release. I then watch something funny. From one extreme to the other but it seriously helps.
I have suffered with depression, anxiety, OCD and eating disorders for years. It takes a lot of strength to reach out for help but it does get better.

I think the worst thing is for young males is in society whether we like it or not we feel pressured not to speak about it, we’re made to just carry on and if we speak theres the worry of criticism in the back of our minds, great video dudey it’s made me take a step back, appreciate it mate x

I feel like most mental health issues don’t necessarily get better or go away, you just learn how to function and cope with it. I’ve just reached that point and although I’ve still got a long way to go I give myself props for getting through it and coming out the other end with a semi-normal life; it feels exhilarating and I’m proud of myself. I’d absolutely love to work with young people who went through what I did and feel like it won’t get better because I’ve been there myself. Just find small things that make you glad to be alive and you’ll find the other part of yourself who’s happy ❤️

Nice to see Dudey bringing it up as well. One of the big reasons why people don’t speak up is because they don’t want to be seen as a “nuisance” or “annoying” to their mates.

Love this video. I’m celebrating a year off antidepressants after being on them for nearly 20yrs. Spent last year working on my mental and physical health and it was the best thing I ever did. Thank you for opening the conversation up. I take an hour before bed every night with no tv or phone and just pamper myself and think of all the things I am thankful for from that day. Sounds cheesy but it works for me! ❤️

I've always been overweight but never really dangerously overweight but over the past 4/5 years I got diagnosed with anxiety/depression due to stress and a health scare that really shook me, got put on anti-depressants and gained about 80/90lbs. I was at my heaviest a few months ago at 327lbs but I've been exercising more often and eating better and I'm now at 303lbs. I've had more help at the gym from people who told me the best things to do and the best ways to see results. In my first gym session I was on the treadmill and I kept getting out of breath really quickly, more quickly than ever before and I broke down into tears coz I realised I couldn't do as much as I did when I was 80lbs lighter and there were 3 people all of different ages that were so quick to come and talk to me and encourage me I genuinely couldn't believe it and it really motivated me. From my own experience (and I live in a pretty rough area) there are so many kind and caring people at the gym.

Lost a friend very recently to suicide. Hit me hard, in different ways. Sadly, would have never guessed anything was wrong which is all too common. Please reach out to your friends and family. Even if they seem perfectly okay on the outside, you never have ANY idea what's going on for them internally.

I struggle with low moods myself and the main things I do to give me some relief on a bad day or just when I need a boost are writing or playing the guitar or ukulele, and I've recently gotten into painting. But another thing that helps is watching videos and movies to distract my brain and switch off, and your videos always help to cheer me up when I need it. Thank you so much for this video and for using your platform to spread such an important message! X

thank you so much for opening up a conversation.
i’ve often struggled with mental health. the worst time in my mental health was when i was in year 8, when i first began hearing voices that were telling me to harm/kill myself. it was hard and horrible the first time that i heard the voices in maths and i was crying really hard. the boy next to me (who was a ‘hard man’) literally spent the lesson talking to me and helped me a lot with overcoming it.
tips for overcoming a bad spout of mental health/day:
    •talk (to friends/family/teachers/councillor/therapist)
    •exercise (i dance when i’m really sad)
•listen to your favourite songs (create a playlist for when your sad.)
    •watch funny UA-cam videos
    :))))

Too right brother, I suffered, and never talked about it, to the point my mind snapped and sent me into a dissociative psychosis for a year. Didn't believe the world was real or that I was real, and nothing was or has even been more terrifying than that. And it all happened because I didn't talk, I didn't get help, and I didn't look after myself. Massive proponent of speaking out now, even if you're fine, just incase something isn't quite right! Take care my dude.

Big up mate I respect you so much for this video. You honestly seem like the most genuine dude and someone I could be mates with. This topic is massively important to me and today's society. I find it hard to open up with my mental health but luckily my mum notices it in me and has helped me so much. I've never told any of my mates but I think you may have inspired me to do so as it's important to open up a dialogue and like you say maybe others are going through a similar thing. By opening up I could be helping someone else which is really eye opening. Also I agree 100% going to the gym and working on yourself does wonders for you! I've been going for a year consistently now and I'll never look back, completely changed me for the better! I hope everyone reading this has a good day I mean it and don't be so hard on yourself. if i'm really feel down, i tend to just go onto youtube, watch some of my fave creators and then also search for interviews or those 'funny moments' videos of my fave actors/actresses because they really put a smile on my face :') i've also found safety and happiness in the wonderful world of harry potter more recently, having been a fan of the series while growing up. i rewatch the films every so often and i just get transported to the magic and wholesomeness that it brings me and i genuinely just feel safe while watching those films or listening to the audiobooks. like i cant be touched by the bad feelings while im in those moments

It’s a fantastic show and it’s been going on for over 50 years now. It’s about a time traveling alien called the doctor.
Also peaky blinders, it’s about an old English gang in the 1920s and it’s great. For comedy I’d suggest inbetweeners or fresh prince of bel air.

Great video Jordan, I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in 2017 from guilt and grief from my dogs passing ( circumstances I don’t want to go into ) I was almost embarrassed to admit how I was feeling and didn’t want to show my emotions as I thought It would get ignored, laughed at, or people just wouldn’t understand ( especially due to the trigger of my feelings ). there are still rough days where I don’t want to get out of bed and I feel like I just can’t be bothered with the day which turns into a week or a month, but there are still some things that make me happy and help take my mind off of how crap I’m feeling. As always Jord. So much love for how much you attack this subject. Even tho ive taken a bit of a step back from the channel recently (not that youve needed the help, mans blowin up) you are the only UA-camr i still watch constantly. Me leaving is mainly due to mental health but its true it does start getting better. Proud of you dude.

I don't know if it really classes as mental health but I get nervous about a lot of things case in point I had a day ticket for Reading Festival this year but I got so nervous i actually couldn't get past the rowing club. If my Dad hadn't pushed me I wouldn't have even got to the gate but I just couldn't get myself past that point. Then I went home and my Dad took my ticket and went in with my brother it happens all the time with live music mainly and I know if I can get in I'll enjoy it. It's easy to say that but not so easy to put it in practice. I used to be ok I'd go to see gigs almost every Friday Seeing bands like Exit Ten and Sylosis I went to the buck and skit fest fine I went to reading 2006, 2007and 2008 fine in 2010 suddenly I feel nervous but still went (and i've felt more and more nervous ever since each year). This time for the first time I couldn't get in. I'm now trying taking my Parents to gigs with me the first is going to be The Hela Mega Tour In London I just hope it works.

I really admire everything you said in this video and it seemed to come at the right time for me. I’ve not been to uni or gotten out of bed for the last few days because my anxiety and depression has hit me like a tidal wave. Your words and thoughts on mental health is so comforting. I’ve been watching your videos for a few months now, and I rarely comment on people’s videos, but I feel like I need to let you know how amazing you are. You always seem so chill and down-to-earth, and like someone I’d wanna be mates with. (Also not to be that hoe but you’re attractive too😅😂) but yeah, sorry if this is a bit of a long comment. I just wanted to let you know that this video came for me at the right time because my mental health has been shit recently. Please keep doing what you’re doing because all your hard work is very much appreciated. Much love Jordan❤️

Sooo I lost my job due to my mental health last year and have been in a whirlwind of anxiety and depression ever since so usually I find these kinds of videos to be patronising, disconnected click bait, thank you for not being and actually caring to make it meaningful and helpful,I really hope you're doing well. Also Slipknot are in the uk in 2020, assuming you've seen them from your plethora of live music, any good? 😄
