- I started developing the Sunee App and brand in 2018, at a time where my career and building my business was my main focus and drive. Before I was a mother and a wife I felt such a sense of purpose and passion pouring all of my time into work.
Now in 2023, a lot has changed. Priorities have shifted, business goals have been refined and most importantly, I have become a wife and a mother. This season of motherhood has been my greatest blessing and an experience I know is fleeting. In our life there is time to do everything, but not all at once.
With all of this in mind and my intentions to create more balance in my life, I have come to the decision to close down the Sunee App. When I work on a project or product, I will give it my all and nothing less. Considering all avenues and possibilities for the app's future, the decision to close the app has been one that has given me the greatest sense of peace.
In saying this, this has not been a decision I have made lightly as I know how special and impactful Sunee and our recipes are to so many of you. I want to take this moment to sincerely thank every single one of you who have supported Sunee. None of this would have been possible without you and I’m so grateful that you have been along for this amazing journey!
While the app will no longer exist, this is not goodbye. My passion for creating healthy recipes is deeper than ever, however, my approach and pace will now honour my season. The experience of creating my cookbook was the confirmation I needed to acknowledge that right now in my life, I need to be working on a project basis.. This allows me to pour all of my creativity into my work, whilst prioritising my role as a mother and raising my boys.

I remember back when you were trying to decide weather to leave Uni and how tough of a choice it was- but that the decision you made was the best for you and the long term- and look how far you have come! This is your season as a mom. Enjoy this time for we only have such a short time with our children. As a mom of four and having one gone to heaven when daughter was a teen, another grown in manhood and a couple more now nearing the preteens I can say just how important each moment is with our children. Motherhood is a wonderful blessing from God.

Im in the same boat but from a nursing profession, we have a LIFETIME to work as moms but only such a small small amount of time to be moms to young boys! Ive stepped back HUGELY and it was so hard as i was currently working into a new promotion but i don’t regret it AT ALL ❤❤❤❤

I've recently felt like this about quitting my cake business, it no longer serves me! Working full time plus trying to do that is just too much and it is not worth my happiness.

I think your cookbook is a much better idea and you can create a new one every couple of years as an ‘update’. I never got the app as I prefer books so really you could make a new cook book that has your favourites from the app.
