I don’t get how having more varied media makes things worse. From what I see online the past few years, people see things that are so shallow as “pushing an agenda”. That term is supposed to be for media that has a forced message that feels inorganic but you see it for things that’s very much surface value. That’s the big issue I see.
A lot of what’s happening is we’re getting more content that’s more evenly spread in terms of what people can relate to which is how it always should’ve been and some are having trouble getting used to these changes cause they’re the ones who got more things targeted at them and don’t like the decrease in content towards them, that’s partly i feel is the reason for the backlash towards these changes. Of course you can get instances where things are executed in a way that’s inorganic but we can say that for everything.
Keep up the good fight MathChief, seeing the "message" being pushed in the gaming industry is a sad sight. Keep recommending games so we can avoid the companies that pushes this trash ideology.

I can enjoy a game like Last of Us even if the main character is a lesbian. The game is good, the story is good, I love it. I also don't mind playing girl main characters. Tomb Raider (to some extent) and Horizon Zero Dawn (especially) series are really some of the best games I've ever played. But I can also see the other side of the coin. The black character in the latest Assassins's Creed game. You choose Japan as the setting and make the main characters a black guy and a woman? WTF?! Too obvious what they're trying to do there. I turned off the Olympics opening ceremony after 2 minutes of watching the bearded "lady", even though I appreciated Gojira's appearance. Some people just don't know when it's too much. So, yeah, I can accept an argument on either side if it's valid, without labels attached to it. This video sounds like a desperate attempt to draw in some new people, because I've been following this channel for around 2 years maybe and this is the first time I hear you talking about "woke games", but OK, let's say you indeed tried to warn us.
