Hey Taylor, do you have any idea if they will ever put Amplitube5 in pedal form? ToneX is amazing but the rigs you can build on Amplitube5 are insane. Would love to have that in a pedal on my board.
Using it for more then a year and I like it a lot, spent a lot of money to realize, for me, amplitude 5 is the best. Although, many prefer neural, they all like my tones. Very nice video my Man 🤘🤘🤘
been using Amplitube 5 and Tonex through my Axe I/O for 6 months and I still haven't tested all the presets - so much content. just bought the Tonex pedal as well. my guitar's never sounded so good. 🎸🤘
Which would you recommend? I hear the TONEX amp captures and sims are way better than amplitube but I hear amplitubes cab modeling and IRs are pretty good equal to Two Notes
Amplitube 5 for a software solution is excellent easily my favorite it sounds and feels great to play if they ever make a hardware version I'm going purchase it immediately.😊
awesome, thanks for showing the flow for this thing. I've had the worst time trying to figure out how to use my damn tonex in this thing. Just is NOT intuitive at all for me for some reason. Your flow makes it look fun to use.
Interesting, I think it's pretty straight forward but I know what you mean there are certain things that can be challenging to get the hang of if you are coming over from a more NDSP style plugin.
I don't know how I went this long without realizing.. I used the Ampeg amp sim they made way back in the day, but I just kind of fell out of touch with their software
IK Amplitube 5 is great, but I always shelf it for NDSP. Coincidentally, I just revisted Amplitube 5 yesterday and paired up the Soldano 100 with the NDSP 100 and the tone was off the charts. Very fun to play.
Hello I am having issues with Amplitube 5 and not being able to save the presets as a TXP file. It looks like it saves it as a AT5 file only. I am using Windows 10 .
Sadly the software for Tonex annoyed me so much and was so hard to work with I just ended up returning it. For me grabbing the Torpedo captor X was the game changer. It sounded good but ended up messing with Tonex far more than anything else
I gave Tonex/amplitube a shot, but the UI and many other nuances were a complete turn off for me. I'd still rather boot up my kemper and the rig manager over Tonex and Amplitube any day, especially for modern metal. For a one stop shop, Mixwave: Mike Stringer is still the best imo, otherwise the Otto Audio 1111 would be the best since it can sound like any of the amps you demo'd with the right tweaks.
@@TaylorDanley it's mostly motivated by convenience of use and simple learning curve. I mean these days you can even use the rig manager on your phone. While the Kemper has a lot of buttons, one could argue it gives it a decent analog feel, yet you only use them if you don't have the footswitch/rig manager session open (which is weird pretty sure nobody does that), everything is accessible easily and the UI is uncluttered. The only drawback to the Kemper imo would be the inability to move mics around on the cab, but that's unnecessary if you already have a profile locked in or have IR's. The ease of setting up patches for live performance is also great. Liquid Profiling also just added a whole new dimension to the Kemper ever since they updated it.
@@DISSONVNT Actually, I totally agree. ToneX especially on initial release felt like the browser wasn't well thought out. It's definitely not as user friendly as Amplitube 5. Kemper's desktop UI is so easy to use, see and find presets
So weird... I didnt watch this video for two days because i was preoccupied reinstalling Amplitube 5 and TONEX after blowing them off for 6 months... Still not in love with either of them compared to using the FM9 or Ampero 2 as direct interfaces, but just watching this video right now was a bit inspiring to keep screwing around with the IK stuff🤘🤘🤘
Can I ask everyone a question, I struggle to replicate my bands tones via amp and multi effects pedal. Is this common?? I’ve watched loads of UA-cam vids and I’m always thinking damn that tone is so real but it looks like most of the UA-camrs are using plugins. Is this the way to go?? I don’t want to record music but replicate my favourite bands. Apologies for being clueless
@@Tyt130 yep, totally possibly but, amplitude has a tone of amps, tons of mics, tons of pedals, different way to route. Takes a good bit of getting used to
I'm sitting here wondering how many lifetimes I'm going to need to get a mix that sounds as good as that does. I've already decided to plug-ins are total garbage but you have just proved me otherwise. This sounds like Mutt Lange produced it. I can't get a mix anywhere close to this and I have no idea why. Maybe I should just pay YOU to record my albums.
plugins 😴😴.. what do you think in comparison to the synergy system that you also use apparently?..i think we both agree that synergy is still missing a rectifier module badly! the IICP+ was just a big flaw (not just) for me.. cheers 🎸🎸
Plugins in comparison? I think they are totally different things. I'm probably going to prefer dialing analog gear 9/10 times, but that's also why I like AT5... It's the most authentic I've used in that regard when I need to use a plugin.
Am I taking the wrong meds or why is it there's plug in for a fucking bag pipe but nothing for "hey I don't own a fucking guitar I'm a keyboard player but I want some power chords on a song"? I don't need an amp simulator I need a guitar, there are all these acoustic ones but why are there no actual metal power chord guitar simulators ? Or do I just not know how to google ?
I remember having plug in that only on computer keyboard with rad soild amps ect liquid something name. Wow seems when had hands on all costly plug-ins didn't know what to do just plain keep it secret or just store for life o well not musician just much downloading lots Material just there hahaa back fruit loop studio plug-ins was rad
Is amplitude 5 finally behaving itself. I've had it for a while and for me it sucked balls. Now I'm not new to amp Sims and know how to tweak them to get the sounds I'm looking for but amplitube was just straight dogshit from the very start so I Uninstalled it to make room for Tonehub which is pretty fucking great in certain places and meh in others. But if I'm missing something with amplitube i.e. post processing someone tell me the secret.

I haven’t tried Amplitube 5 but have always favored Positive Grid’s BIAS FX, specifically their Mesa Treadplate and Marshall sims

Not gonna lie, it's the GUI that made getting Amplitube 5 instead of other amp sims 🤣
Of all the "all in one" big name products, Amplitube and Tonex are by FAR the best. They just have great feel.
Which would you recommend? I hear the TONEX amp captures and sims are way better than amplitube but I hear amplitubes cab modeling and IRs are pretty good equal to Two Notes
@@BOATIE141 I use Amplitube, Tonex, and Genome all pretty consistently. Genome is a little less feature complete but it sounds great.

That Plexi was Killer

For cryn' out loud, could they just put this whole deal into a floor modeler and take some market share from Line 6 and others??? I'd be in on it.
Believe me, I'm with you..
Great tutorial ,for make a good sound !! The guitar in what tune is ? Seymour Duncan humbukers?
What speakers do you have pc running thru?
Good video and AT5 + Tonex is surely one of the best but in my opinion the best stays: 1) McRocklin Suite 2) Neural DSP 3) AT5+Tonex

*what about STL tones?*
What computer are you using?

What’s the model of that guitar? Thanks in advance
Is the pitch button to detune the guitar on the selected track in the DAW view?
When you run one of these, do you typically still EQ afterward?
What audio interface are you using?
A doubt...
Can I use this plugin just by plugging the guitar through an iRig?????

I think I have one on the Tonex platform. I can't remember if I made it public or not. I'll check...
Yep, it's on there!
I jut tried the plug-in demo. It didn't sound anything like what I'm hearing here.
The demo they have comes with a white noise and purposely sounds worse so you are motivated to buy it. Weird I know lol

They're two different softwares. Tonex does the capturing, and can be loaded in a pedal or in amplitube, but not the other way around.
Thanks
