Thank you Peter. What is your opinion regarding the quality of the standard hdmi Sonos cables? Should i swap the original Sonos hdmi cable on the arc for better performance?
Thanks for the recommendation Pete. Wish I’d seen this video earlier. Recently blew £200- on a pair of AudioQuest Carbon 48 HDMI cables. More fool me, ‘ey?! LOL’s! Be interested to know which Ethernet(Cat5/5E, Cat6/6a, Cat7) cables you’d recommend to hardwire the SONY XR55XX94J TV, SONOS Arc & SONY HT-A7000 soundbars to my router? Worth using an Ethernet to USB adapter? Look forward to seeing more of your output in the near future. Keep up the great work. Regards. Bob
I am so happy to try this hdmi ater this video and i can say they work more than what i think when i see this video thinx for the advice im very happy .. before i use the hdmi come with the sonos arc and tooday i try this one we have a huge difference so i will buy this hdmi for everything
Hi Peter. Recently discovered your channel and loving it! I have a Sonos playbar (with 2 Play 1’s) connected to Optoma Cinemax P2 projector eith optical audio out. I am thinking of bying a HDMI switcher with audio extraction to pull audio directly into the playbar from my apple tv and sattelite box to make use of the DTS on the playbar. Would this be worth it or am I better off in spending money on something else like a Sonos Sub Mini to enhance my Dolby 5.1? I dont want to change to the Sonos Arc yet as its super expensive and would need to get a HDMI switcher anyway to extract audio. Your help is appreciated
5:58 Don't listen to these Ugreen shity marketing. I've bought a Vention HDMI 2.1 (VRR,ALLM,QFT,QMS,eARC, etc etc etc etc) AND ROCKS !!! Check if you find that brand in UK. Another one good brand is Baseus (i think - i've never tested anything from this brand) BUT DO NOT go for Belkin !!! I've seen many negative reviews (akwardly) that surprised me !
Hello Peter. Do I need a nice hdmi like this to use on my e-arc to my Sonos arc? Or should I just use a standard hdmi? Thank you for your great content.
I've been finding sound to randomly drop out from Apple TV content on my LG C1 Oled TV combined with a Sonos Arc. I thought I had a pretty good HDMI Cable running from the Apple TV but will pick up one of these cables if you think that will help the issue.
Hi Peter: I have a new LG TV, Beam 2, Era 300's & Sub Gen 3, Apple TV into TV HDMI, Beam is connected out of TV eARC. Though playing Dolby Atmos content, Sonos S2 indicates I'm getting Stereo PCM. My HDMI cable are a 3-4 years old. Would this make a difference, possibly explain why I'm not getting Dolby Atmos?
Hi Peter, thank you. I also would like your opinion on the Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 1.5ft, 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Dolby Vision. These I believe are as good or better?
I have not used those but in terms of performance, if they are true to specs, will not be worse or better. They will perform the same. I think it's down to price. I don't believe anything can be made better than this seriously, at this price.
Ha! It was a really impromptu video. I thought about all of you guys getting new stuff for the holidays and during the sale and maybe you need new cables.

Thanks Peter however what you have failed to mention is emf shielding interference, cable geometry and cable internal construction all these things are very important and each one has a big effect on video and sound quality so more expensive cables will almost always give better sound and picture quality than the cheaper hdmi cables there's a reason! There's cheap cables snap more expensive hdmi cable
Negative check out Linus pretty sure he knows what he’s doing with his millions of followers tested out multi hundred dollar cords down to 6 dollar cords conclusion they either work and meet specifications or they do not and more of the expensive cords ended up not meeting the specifications it’s snake oil dude keep buying 2 and 300 dollar cords your paying for the silver and copper they put in as this gentlemen just said it’s 1 and 0s that’s it higher cost cords are not transporting this signal any differently than your 300 dollar cord biggest lie and rip off in the new tv age
Actually the worst! I purchased two 15’ cables, hooked them up to my LG Eclair in the bedroom to get further positioning & had nothing but flickering & the source switching back & forth on its own. Went back to the 6’ cable I previously had & things went back to normal. Not sure if it was a one off with receiving bad cables, but I would not recommend this brand.
Thank you, Peter. Minor correction: HDMI 2.1 cables support up to 48 Gbps (not 48 Mbps).
LMAOOOO
Zeskit were the first and best HDMI 2.1 cables...
5:58 Ugreen shity marketing.
I've bought a Vention HDMI 2.1 (VRR,ALLM,QFT,QMS,eARC, etc etc etc etc) AND ROCKS !!!
(NOTE: I use it on a 8K TV @60Hz)

Ugreen have been producing quality cables. Bought several cables off lazada during 11.11 at a steal!
Got these Ugreen hdmi cables a while now for my 4k tv, my home cinema and dolby atmos system and i am very happy with those cables
Glad you like them too! Best cable which I always recommend to anyone looking to replace their spoilt cables or upgrading from 1.4 upwards.
Thanks for the recommendation Pete.

Hello Peter. Do I need a nice hdmi like this to use on my e-arc to my Sonos arc? Or should I just use a standard hdmi? Thank you for your great content.
If you use the hdmi cable that comes with the Sonos arc you are good. Don’t need to buy new. Unless that cable spoils.
The Baseus 8K HDMI 2.1 costs even less and has gold plated contacts as opposed to nickel on the Ugreen.
Is certified yet ?

These ugreen cables are mighty phat. I’m struggling to fit them inside my wall tunnel
They’re CL3 rated?
Good morning Peter,
Would it make a difference for my Samsung tv with no eARC? Or would it be best only if I upgrade my tv or buy an audio extractor?
LOL...

Hey Peter HELP!! You mentioned you use an LG CX that’s what I use. Can you give me the setting for the TV to be sure I am getting the Atmos please
Perfect timing, thanks Peter!

Does it matter, if I replace the standard Sonos arc 1.4 HDMI cable with a 2.1 hdmi cable?
No it doesn't. Because Sonos only uses the bandwidth for the Audio. So the bundled Sonos cable is good enough.
Do you also have an Amazon EU Store link to support you?

Sane thing with those 60 dollar rocket fish cords another rip off
It specified eARC but my TV and soundbar have only ARC, does this work? Thanks for any answer.
Great information, thank you very much.
Amazing as usual!!
Great video, and it answered questions I had. Thank you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Hey there, I tested both the 6 feet and 10 feet cable. Didn't test the 15 feet one. Thanks for letting us know about the 15' issues.
What is the minimum HDMI cable length that you would recommend?
don't buy 10m because my cable didn't work.
Thanks! Just purchased two.
Well done marketing 🐑!

No , Audioquest Carbon 48 is better , i have 4 of them 👍
48 Gb /s not 48 Mb /s
Thank you Peter.. I just ordered a pair of these cables via your link …
Thanks for the support! They are great cables and I have no qualms recommending them.
