This dude is just super likeable.
He great but I would love him to do high end stuff as well .
😂
Word. Lol
@@sjb007brown1 I think there are plenty of people doing high end. The fact is that most people can't afford that and so he's focused on providing info on products in the "Joe Blow" range
@@phiko72 if your a layperson and love his channel and you started from the beginning in home theater and there ready to go to the next level they will want Majestic to be there go to person cause they trust and built a relationship with is channel. That’s all the more reason to do high end as well not everyone wants to stay intermediate.
this is becoming my go-to channel for projection. Chris this is so much clearer and to the point than everything else I've seen. Thank you!
For me, it's important to get solid on the basics. The vast majority of content out there is at most 5.1 surround sound. Invest in those speakers first - especially the fronts - and think of expansion later.
Great video! I just got my first 5.1 Soundbar setup, so I'm breaking almost all of these rules, but your vids have been super helpful in wrapping my head around all the different options out there.
Subscribed! Even after I make my first projector purchase I can see myself still enjoying your content. Fun to listen to, obvious expertise/enthusiasm. Awesome job with this channel!
Great info as always. I love how you get to the point, but maintain such a sincere and relaxed attitude. Dual subs made a massive difference in my room and taking the sub crossover down to 70hz really helped as well. I like the subs to only kick in for the really low effects. It can ruin the movie if every car door closing, or every low voice (Batman) comes out of the subs. I am guilty of running my subs way too hot though... Keep the good vids coming man!
I agree with you on the dual subwoofers with one exception. I just purchased the Monolith M-215 dual 15 inch 2000watt sub, and I can honestly say, I have never been in any theater, IMAX included that comes anywhere close to my dedicated theater. You feel every explosion as if it’s actually happening. Absolutely unbelievable performance.
Once again, super good advice! His reviews of the Optoma Uhd65 vs the Optoma Uhd60 led me to my decision. Also, his review of the HDMI cables led me to choose the Ruipro Fiber Optic cable. Keep these videos coming!!
Great info Chris! I will definitely be spending more time in this channel.
Trying to finally build a home theater and this is such great advice. Just found this channel and Chris seems like a great dude!
Awesome video. I've made some costly mistakes over the years on my home theatre so your video should help folks save some money. Thank you for providing such great content.
The amount of information in your videos is so amazing. Thanks so much you're giving me everything I need to know about audio.
love you bro... no commercials clear explanations straight to the point
Perfect advice, you absolutely nailed it!
Your advice is awesome. Thank you for the time that you provide in making these. I’m planning out our new home theatre is this is very helpful
I’m glad I found your channel, so helpful for a newb like me
Thank you for the information! Your videos are way better than most of the other content out there.
Great info as always Chris, love your stuff
Bro, I love your channel! Although I am not in the market for a new projector just yet, I enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the great work!
Wow. I’m glad I found your channel. What a breath of fresh air. A “10 things...” video that lasts 10 minutes. Brilliant!! I just watched a “6 best Subwoofers of 2021” video that was over 20 minutes. Thank you, sir. Great job. I’ve liked and subscribed. I’m in the process of building (literally building...like running plumbing and electrical right now) my first home theater and need tips like this THANKS!!!
Thanks for the videos chris. Really helpful 👍
This was a lot of ground to cover in under 10 minutes! Very well organized and informative!
Thanks Chris I been watching your videos for about a month now and I'm gonna give a projector a try but on a budget.
i totally feel your point on screen size. everyone on the web or in stores talking like 'uuuh don't go too big with the screen or you will need to move your head' - this is exactly what I WANT for immersion. just like in cinemas I like to sit 1 or 2 rows closer than middle to get that real cinema vibes.
I learned more useful stuff here than all the other videos I’ve watched combined. Great work.
Thank you for your amazing and helpful tops Chris
Well put together
What up Chris ? .Thank you for helping me with all your tips im new the Home theatre scene your help an excellent experience helped me alot
Excellent information provided in a clear and concise manner
Enjoyed the video! I'm getting a receiver I actually want tomorrow and happy to get some advice. Thank you!
Awesome job Mike. Something I can understand!
Great info. Waiting on my B&W install and ordered one 12 sub. Definitely getting a 2nd. Great information 👍🏾
I'd have a beer with this dude, any day.
Thanks Chris. 🎄
Oh man, singing my song. Very well done. I did a similar vid a while back. But was about all my own mistakes haha!!
Well said and straight to the point,I might just redo my own setup😁😎
Great Job you do some of the best information videos on you tube
You be da man Chris! Your presentations are tops. ^^
Straight to the point and informative 👌🏾
This is the first subscription I have ever made, dude your good.
I agree on #1 so much, I just roll my eyes at all these guys talking about screens being "too big" and 45 degree blah blah blah. Gimme a break when you go to a imax the screen is wall to wall and that's how I like it.
This is the neighbour everyone wants, ultra next guy!
I guess the by far most common mistake is focusing components, names and shiny surfaces over a good concept.
As a German, I find this especially obvious in American HTs in UA-cam. Most people have a rather small screen directly on the wall, because the shiny speakers need to fit around it. Not only are floor standing speakers often times not needed nor favorable in sound (the emit low frequencies in every direction), they are also significantly more expensive than on wall or in wall solutions. That money should be spent on acoustic treatment instead, since a cheap speaker will play much better in an acoustically treated room, than an expensive speaker plays in a bare room.
Most rooms I see on UA-cam have zero acoustic treatment in their room, and basically no one has sufficient low frequency treatment. Dampening your room in low frequencies and therefore mitigate booming frequencies will do a lot more, than just blindly buying two woofers because this is apparently always better...
I don’t want to be too harsh, but cables and number of subwoofers are hardly the problem in most home theatres. Feel free to disagree, but I myself wasted loads of money on shiny speakers with famous brand names to get mediocre results. Now, I have everything hidden I a baffle wall, with an SBA and it plays better than it ever did before + better than 99% of home theaters I have heard. That is all at LOWER cost than before. A CONCEPT is what makes and breaks a good cinema and this is probably the best advice I can give...
Thanks for the advice sir. Currently I have an unfinished bsmt below ground & need a nice clean home theater 5.1 to start which is 15*15 or squeeze in 15*20 height 7'. Budget is low but as you said concept is key. Have an older denon receiver, TV to purchase with lots of wiring, insulation & choosing non wireless for quality. HDMI over cat6. Any other advice given? Thanks in advance
Recently found this channel after buying a house and wanting a home theater. This channel has already helped me immensely with trying to budget and understanding specific requirements. Keep up the great work. Earned a sub here 😁
Check put Elan Osborne
Great video for people newly getting into home theater.
Good job. Love it.
Fully agree with you 👍 though with my Denon X4500H I was able set my speakers as small for home theater use but large when using only the left and right channels, makes a huge difference when watching something in stereo without the LFE channel
7:30 WOW that Sub is putting in some work!!! 😳😆 Loving this video!
Great work love the information. Please explain sub woofer crawl and placement or link video
Excellent presentation!
Great video thanks Chris.
Fantastic video, thanks!
This information is gold
I really enjoy your videos thanks man 👍
Solid info. Appreciated bruh.
Very informative. Top shelf my friend 👍🏻
Number 1 mistake....
Not listening to a man like Mr Majestic! That's why we subscribe to you Chris, we applaud the NO BS approach. Love your work brother!👍👍

This sentence is word salad.
@@anthonyf3957 lol that’s exactly what it is lmao
Emm, he just doesn't mastery of the english syntax.
Salad is good for you...🤣
First time viewing you....very well done. Appreciate it.
Great video!!
Awesome video!!
Great video, thank you!!
Thanks King!!
First time seeing your channel.....its on point!
Now you're gonna make me get a second subwoofer
My wife gave me that glance as soon as Chris mentioned it. Like heeelllll noooo. LMAO
Facts 😂
Yes two subs is much better than only one.
2 12's over a single 15" is the most true statement. Great breakdown my man!
I'm currently in a Home Theater build as I write and I believe I managed to beat 9 out of the 10 mistakes in my build and that one is #10 Crossover frequency. However, I'm finding that I need to purchase a new 4K Home Theater Receiver. Your videos have helped me move this project into the today and tomorrow range rather than the maybe someday range, thanks. However, I would love to see an episode on 4K Home Theater receivers that work with atmos systems in the different fields of price points $1K, 2K, 3K, and up for Q4 of 2020 and 2021. Again, thanks for your videos and your opinion on things to look out for in Home Theaters for the home.
Good stuff. Than's Chris.
Good video Chris! Another thing I have noticed is that people buy huge tower speakers and cheap out and get a small center channel and surround speakers.
Thanks for you advice 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great video and awesome room man! I just subscribed and can't wait to watch more of your stuff! Anyway, I have to say in my personal experience I've never had good results from running auto calibration on an AVR, so I just stopped using it because it never sets the levels or crossover correctly... no matter what the room or brand AVR! I always get great results using an SPL Meter and tape measure, so that would be my recommendation to anyone who tried Auto Cal and didn't get good results.
I've been having the thought of doing a mini theater in my living room in case people come visit. and this video popped up on my feed, yet, this is far more advanced than I had imagined hahah. good stuff though!
I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now and this video made me hit that subscribe button. Keep up the great work 👍🏽 I really should’ve subscribed earlier 💯
I’m about to replace my entry level Denon receiver to a pioneer vsx 1130. Thank you for this video!!
gosh i learned a lot maybe make another with mistakes #11-#20 most common. Great job!
Thanks!
I have seen So Many home theater setup guides that say you only need One sub due to the way people hear such low frequencies and cannot easily pinpoint the source.
It kinda made me cry a little inside reading that so many times.
underrated channel! great content!
love the info! I was not aware that it is better to have two subwoofers.
Very informative
Oh man, thank you for explaining the subwoofer crawl! I’ve seen it mentioned on so many forum threads but never with an explanation. I had been assuming it meant put the sub in different places and see how it sounds. This seems way less time consuming/tedious.
With everything else I’m trying to do (including getting a permit to build a wall), every little concept adds to an overwhelming experience. The sheer cost of this little project is stressful enough.
Great video. Great content.
I was about to make a similar video on this but you covered it so brilliantly :)
You do a GREAT job with your reviews, new Subscriber!👍
Great video!! 👍
Nice job!!
Ridge wallets are pretty amazing 😁😊
Good info man!
For long video runs, just use CAT6 with HDMI converters on the ends. Works like a charm and is MUCH easier to run through ceilings.
Good content thanks. Side note: love the shirt.
You’re the best, man
Bro your vid’s helped me a bunch. I created a budget home theatre buying used on my local buy and sell website. I lucked out buying. Got some good stuff cheap. I was in a rental when I did it. (Pre Covid). I since bought a home. Took that system from my rental and built a dedicated room for it by following your advice. It was smaller than I wanted. But it worked. I have now added sound diffusion and absorption. Helped so much. COVID’s now over. Saw maverick Thor love and thunder in regular and Jurassic park dominion in 3D in the theatre while I was away at work. Maverick was awesome. Only problem the guy in front of me was leaning back into my crotch the whole movie. He is lucky I had scrubbed down there before the show. Like seriously bud…. WTF! Thor love and blunder wasn’t worth the ticket price. And real 3D on JPD had no depth compared to my DLP link system. My cheap home system blew everyone of those experiences away. I can’t imagine the hurtles in front of the industry when I can get a better theatre experience at home for under a grand. Can’t wait to see maverick in my power recliner without a dude between my legs the whole time. Hopefully they release it in bluray 3D!
Can't wait for my 5.1 Rockville hts45 to come In these videos help so much so not that overwhelmed when it comes in I have a soundbar now its okay just had to upgrade
Didn't know about that setting it my floor speakers to small. I'll try that out. Thanks.
Solid content
Just recently found you. Great stuff!
Nice 👍🏼 SVS subwoofers 🔊🔊
