i was thinking about ordering a Pranayama for days, especially after seeing your review on it. reddit users eventually convinced me that the supersonic is THE LPD board and that I should order it instead. I finally cracked and bought the SuperSonic with Hoku wheels- sure enough to see that you're now singing its praise. hilarious timing and I am sure i won't regret my purchase!
can you explain the rear truck mounting, please? why closer to the center of the board? have you tried the most rear mount option and what are the pros and cons of both for you? another question is what are your bushings set up?
@@alexanderbelyakovich5692 Look up Adam ornelles or Blue ridge projects video on how to pump! He can explain it way better than I ever could! But for short: front option: more stable when pushing switch faster pumps at speed. Rear option: flowier, more flex, deeper pumps but not as stable or fast! But a lot of it is style dependant!
@@flymanhorse I used the 130mm bear trucks and they are safe for me, as you can see! With smaller wheels you have more options! Not quite sure, what you mean for the second question? 😅
@@flymanhorse Not for me no! It's close but doable in my configuration. I weigh in at 72kgs. you can definitely do it with some risers. For me one 3mm one is enough!
@skate-horizons what bushings do you use? It seems like your front truck movement is very restricted. Would it be bossible to use 130mm hangers and hoku wheels with soft bushings for more surfy ride? With taller risers perhaps or would you need wider hanger? Cheers!

Hey, so I’m planning to buy a Pranayama or a SuperSonic. I don’t really do LPD but I do cruising for some long distances lol. What do you suggest me to buy?
@@Space-Piranha both great! The Pranayama is my comfort pick and has a smaller footprint! The Supersonic is more versatile. Both are incredible. You can literally flip a coin and win all the time !
Does it get wheelbite with the hokus no risers right out of the box? I ordered mine with karmas but also got some hokus to try but don’t want wheelbite! I love the karmas as well they’re cool
Mind sharing your hoku set up? Looking for "surfy" pumping set up with big wheels and battling between the supersonic and bracket set up. Which bracket/deck combo has enough room for hokus with 130-140mm hanger? Thanks!
@@MarkWho76 hmm surfy would be on the Supersonic with the second WB Option. I prefer smaller wheels with a bigger contact patch. The Hokus are push monsters tho!
@@MarkWho76 I think hokus fit most bracket boards, with the exception of the "tighter"/shorter front setups like a sdf+45° rkp or glassdrop+45° rkp. I se the hokus on the Wiggler with the drop fork* and 45° rkp (*drop forks have different holes for placing the truck closer or further, I would say I use a middle position), and also with the Crusader, medium position (but chances are you can get one at the moment 😅). Surfyness... is more about trucks, for the Supersonic, as Michael says, it's the rear dewedge mounting and a 40°-ish truck that becomes a 20°-ish truck!
@@LDPizzaThanks! I might go with the gbomb DDS and 55° euphoria or Hydra. Does the dds set the axles further away from the deck compared to the glass drop? At least it's skinnier than glass drop. What is your ride height with hokus and the drop fork? I guess it drops more than 35mm of the dds?
I love seeing skaters get crafty! I typically ride mine with risers but now you got me wondering if there's maybe something better out there for me
