I've been doing long distance boarding for a few years and just realized yesterday that other people do it too. Very cool. I wish there were more races in the US. 188 miles over 3 days on the other side of the country is a little much at this point. But it sounds awesome! I love that there is a place called trash mountain because I always told stories to my daughters that often involved a mysterious place called trash mountain.
Epic work, Adam. Loving this newer aspect to Longboarding-never new it existed. Not about winning which is a great philosophy. Stoked to just try cruising on my own instead of just speeding downhill. Inspiring. Thank you.
Yeah Carlos!! Thank you for your work! Thats the hotel I stayed in when I did the first year and set my record (I slept on the floor). Adam, I said Maybe save someone for the draft!l on day 2, If there is someone quick enough. But I didn't have anyone with me on day 2 or 3. Congratulations on the record Adam. You earned it. Shout out to Marion Karr the OG organizer, along with Chad and Georgia who helped keep it going.
Excellent recap of the event, Adam! It was really cool to see it all from your perspective. I remember you saying on the car ride to Day 3 start, "Let's just have a chill day, guys...", which clearly did not happen. Great job! Also loved The Shining reference 😆
Lots of reasons, the less snooty culture, the people who think like me, the more-well-rounded exercise, throwing a board under my desk after my commute, no saddle sores, no bike fits, cheaper equipment. Some to name a few! Oh yeah, downhills, way more fun too.
@@BlueridgeLongboardProject thank you so much. I’ve switch to skate culture ever since my doctor told me I can’t cycle anymore and you guys are an inspiration to this sport.

Boy, I've really only skated freeride, but I could really get into this. 11/10 video.
I liked the voice overs and cuts with the video Adam :) Nice :) & Congratulations one more time for the win :)
Thanks for putting up this videos I had no idea the race existed

This was an awesome video, I was at a dance competition over in Nashville that weekend, I’d def love to come to this next year!
Name the back pack and equipment you use for long rides. Do everybody use the low top mount deck for the race?
Hey Blueridge, do tend to like skating more than cycling now? Why do you like LDP?
