      Over confidence , which I felt they showed initially, is dangerous when dealing with someone with mental health issues. OK, so I actually was friends with someone who was very close with this young man and the grandfather was like a father to her. She stated that one night this kid bought weed from someone that he had never bought weed from before and as soon as they sold it to him they left immediately. It was the next day, when the kid went to work, everyone noticed that there was a change in him he was not himself, he was irritable very much, not his normal, happy go lucky self. It was that night that he murdered the grandfather. Everyone believes that what he bought was laced with some other drug that basically turned him into a monster.

It helped him eat, sleep, relax and he said it did more for him than the 27 tablets he had to take everyday.

You need a probable cause, if he was the killer and they didn't have any until he pulled out the remains from his pockets. He is also not visibly intoxicated, just displaying erratic behaviour.
      This is why they detained him meanwhile other cops do an investigation. They did a good job! 👏👏

      @loco_tom 6 місяців тому +1

      @@Cali-Girl As far as I understand is that they patted him down, found nothing, was compliant and therefore detained until investigation is done. Seems like standard procedure, you don't need to cuff someone while detaining them. All they know is that there's a distressed person who witnessed his dead relative and need to treat him with respect.
      The cops probably have better reasoning (and training) than the public does. We're already told from a video title who is the suspect but they don't know that. The viewers are too quick to judge in the comments.

    As much as peeps rag on the police (and they're not perfect) but those guys are stood around a truck bed and they know "it's on".
    They're only normal peeps and they're given a few days training restraining folk in a gym. If you're a young guy or gal, you might be up for it! But not every 30-something wants to roll around in the dirt with a fit, young guy! The uniform doesn't stop them getting scratch & grazes, cuts & bruises.
    TL/DR: give respect where it's due.

    Why can’t they handcuff him for their own protection?

      Or sit him in the back of the police car “for his own comfort”?
