    I find 3D One very exceptional if you use the correct pads. Pads in this business make bigger differences than compounds even do. I use to pair 3D One with urofiber 50/50 but have found better results with Lake Country orange foam CSS pads. If Doing multiple steps i use 3D 500, then 3D 520 and if you want the very best polish then end with CarPro Reflect before adding protection. CarPro reflect has amazed me so has Carpro's orange mild clay bars

    I find a rinseless dampened first wipe off towel makes a HUGE difference in the wipe off of any polish, especially 3D One.
    I've moved on from it now though as I do NOT enjoy taping a car, so I switched to DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish. That stuff is awesome for me!

    Awesome video 👍!! What’s a good combo for black GM soft paint?

    • @Detailing_Dogma
      @Detailing_Dogma  3 місяці тому +2

      good question! For a one-step probably start with orange hdo or rupes yellow foam with Sonax perfect finish, go from there. It would depend on the condition of the paint and the level of correction expected. Black cars usually requires 2 step for high level polishing. I'd make sure to have Black HDO too.

    Salut Frank!
    Pour ma part, j'utilise le le Gold Standard Polish de la compagnie DIY Detail avec le Yellow Waffle Pad de la meme compagnie ( qui est un pad de Lake Country) . Un spray sur le pad par section, pas besoin de "taper" les ganitures parce que peut etre utilisé partout ( meme sur les vitres) , tres facile à enlever et fait une excellente job. Je ne peux pas comparer a d'autre compagnie parce que c'est le seul que j'ai utilisé et il fait mon affaire parce que facile d'utilisation.

      @Detailing_Dogma  18 днів тому

      Salut Pat, content de te reparler, 3D one est un tres bon polish malgré tout effectivement, je pense qu'il y a des meilleurs options aujourd'hui mais sommes toute un bon produit versatile, pas chèr. trop huileux mais correct, je l'ai utilisé dernierement sans probleme. Pour le BnS oreo pad je ne l'aimes pas du tout, j'en ai quelqu'uns a la maison je les gardes pour des jobs sales etc.. Il brule vite, se détache du backing ou velcro, se delamine en gros, rapidement meme neuf :( en tout cas cest mon experience. Lautre point negatif avec ce pad, il est 5 pouce tout juste alors tu n'a aucun buffer alentours de ta backing plate, alors tu peux vraiment faire beaucoup de damage sur les surfaces verticales ou dans des grosse curves, exemple un mirroir ou une poigné, ailerons etc.. Pour etre honnete avec toi je suis un gars de Lake Country HDO, je n'aimes pas les rupes non plus, voila j'ai aussi appris a maitriser les HDO donc je suis habitué avec cela. À bientot Pat et merci de participer sur la chaine.
      Frank.

      Are you using wool? I have experienced the complete opposite. Feels like i'm using too much most of the time unless the pad is fresh. It works great for regardless but so many other good options actually better priced such as Rupes Fine and DIY Gold Standard, I need more time using those we'll have another one step compound video at some point. Thanks for watching.

    What do you think about Sonax perfect finish ?

    • @Detailing_Dogma
      @Detailing_Dogma  3 місяці тому +1

      Hey man thanks for asking, well it's been my favorite finishing polish for a long time, not good a one-step unless very soft paint or slightly weathered pain, maybe one step as a maintenance but when 2 step'ing it's a killer polish in terms of gloss and fast finishing trails and marring. Now Sonax has increased price over 100$ CND for a Liter I'm switching over the last cut finishing polish. Cheers brother.

    3d one is really good while you are using it, but it stains the crap out of trim so I always have to be extra careful with it. The only compound I’ve found that has a “good” wipe off is griots fast correcting cream. Still not perfect, but much better than most. Everything else that comes off easy is weaker than all of these.

    • @Detailing_Dogma
      @Detailing_Dogma  3 місяці тому +2

      Yes I agree good wipe off compound are harder to come by,, check out The last cut + if you haven't , similar to griots cuts harder finish just as good imo. Wipe off is on par with FCC. Thanks for watching
